Post by: diand on August 26, 2010, 09:45:34 AM

If he stays, he stays, even though I think this is MacDonald replying to a question where he can hardly say "bag of shit and I want shot of him"!  If we're playing 4-4-1-1 I can't see him getting a kick really, so It's not a footballing issue as much as it is a financial one of his wages still being paid at least until January.

Let's hope the "Heskey going nowhere" is the same as "Milner going nowhere".

We can't afford to let anyone go. We're clearly not going to make any more signings so we need to keep hold of whatever we have.

Is the only picture of Heskey in a Villa shirt they could find, him knelt on the floor, grimacing in pain and eyeing hopefully over towards the ref?

Oh...

After the free flowing football we played against West Ham, i was hoping we would'nt be seeing too much of
Ivanhoe under KMac. Seeing him come on at Newcastle on the wing made me feel like
bursting into tears.

I think (and I can hardly believe I'm saying this) that we probably should hang on to him. This is going to be a very different season to ones that we have been used to recently.

Clearly no other talent will be coming into the club and given that we will be scarpping for points just to stay in the Premier league, the more experience we have the better.

Will someone please wake me up and tell me that apart from the West Ham game the summer has been nothing but a bad dream?....this news is the fucking cherry on top of the icing on the cake.

I'm absolutely delight Emile Heskey is staying at the club. He is truly the greatest defensive striker in the world and a bonus to any team. I'd be really upset should we sell him as I think he is a crucial part of our team.

Let's face facts, it was always going to be difficult to get rid of the deadwood, with or without a manager.

What did you buy? I'm knee-deep in a mid-life crisis and bought a new car just recently as well. I told the wife it's was either that or a mistress. We both agreed a car was the sensible choice all things considered. It did pick me up somewhat, I have to admit.

Now you just need a lock-up somewhere nice and quiet where you can go spend time with it while the wife thinks you're on the golf course.

Pass the rope down I want to use it as well -

Stick him in goal for Everton KMac - everyone else is being played out of position

Even if we gave him away tomorrow to Leicester we'd probably end up paying him £45k a week for the next two years, assuming they were to pay him £15k a week. That's a total of over £4.5m.

The sad fact is we're stuck with him, high wages (who negotiated that deal?) and the only clubs that would want can't afford him.

Lets put him to work....I'm sure that the concession stand could use a good hot dog server. There's no fucking chance of anyone coming in and buying him..unless MON gets another job.....hmmm...........Avram is already looking shakey.....

It's like Mon has just pebble-dashed all of his shit all over Villa Park. Not even a manager who has experience with Ajax is going to be able to clean up this mess in a hurry!

Thank fuck we've got Gabby, Emile is certainly not up to it any more. I also think Carew's best days are behind him. Is Delfouneso ready? Surprised that KM hasn't used him much yet, especially as he knows what he can do from his time in the reserves. Maybe he doesn't rate him. We desperately need a striker. Will we get one? I doubt it.

I was scared shitless when I heard that.  Feeling helpless, I went over to my mom's place for advice.

"Just close your eyes, it's only nine months max in a season."

"But mom, by then we might be relegated and have to bear with this tumbling bear for that period of time!"

"Spare a thought for his mom."

I feeling better now.

Having just seen the highlights of yesterdays Portugal - England U21 game, the Fonz finally got his hands on some silverware. He picked up the Ronnie Rosenthal Miss of the Decade trophy. Absolutely shocking miss, keeper beat, open goal and he doesn't even manage to hit the bar or post, putting it six feet wide. He may as well not have a left foot.

One of the biggest blags of all time along with the Blairian weapons of mass destruction in Iraq debacle is the match of the day inspired comment of "Yes well, Emile does come back and hold up the ball well".  If I hear anyone say that line again I will self combust.  The bloke isnt worth five pence as a striker and should be loaned out to Worcester City on a free.

If we get Houllier will Heskey be staying even longer. I think he loved him at liverpool. Worst case scenario is that he ends up being our 1st choice striker  >:( :'(

That was a long time ago. There is no evidence to support that theory whatsoever

I'm just not falling for the argument that because Houllier signed him 9 years ago, or whatever year it was, that he will favour him this time round.

He has moved players on before, and brought new players through.
