are there any Villa fans in Amsterdam to share the joy of matches like West Ham or the pain of matches like Newcastle?

I think the team must have been in Amsterdam ,sampling the local ciggies the way they performed yesterday.

We are the Dutch Lions - a group of 80 members spread all over the
Lowlands - a mix of Ex-Pats and enthusiastic Dutch Villa fans. We organize
group trips to Villa Park and the occasional get together to watch
matches. If you are based in Holland or even an ex-pat Dutch who want to
network with like minded Claret & Blue diehards then please contact Simon
at robb7@xs4all.nl - Alles of niks jongens - Volle Gas!

Greetings.
There's actually quite a few of us now in NL but we're a bit light on numbers up here in the Amsterdam area so good to here of another fellow Dutch Lion. Contact Simon Robb or PM me and we'll give the full lowdown on the Dutch Lions.
Tot ziens.

thanks Neil (nice choice of beer, by the way)
is there a particular pub in Amsterdam where Villa fans can usually be found on matchday?

I will be in Amsterdam this weekend for Monday's Eels gig.
Not that it adds anything to the discussion, but ner ner ner-ner-ner !!!

We've tended to meet up at an Irish bar in Utrecht as its more central for the people in Brabant. As for bars in Amsterdam, i've watched a number of Villa games from an Irish bar located behind the Dampalais, but its always been unofficial and i'm usually outnumbered by those supporting the away team.
Please give Simon Robb a call and he'll be more than happy to fill you in on our plans - I think we're taking a large number over for the Bloose game.
p.s. One of the many pleasures of living out here is the number of bars serving vast arrays of Belgium beer.

There's another Neil, Dowdall to be precise. A Brummie who moved to the Dam for work. You can get him on Facebook.

I'm a Villain in central Amsterdam - been here for four years-O'Leary finished me off, so I left Sutton Coldfield got a job abroad.Haven't met that many Villa fans out here. I used to go to the Sports Cafe on Leidseplien but that was mostly lads on stag dos.Having Sport 1 is pretty good though-watching Villa home and away every week, although I still miss going to Villa Park every week.
