The one thing I don't like is that on threads that have lots of pages (eg - the Transfer Rumours thread) you can either select the first 3 pages, or the last page. When you've been offline a few hours you know that thread will have jumped a few pages so it's nice to head straight back 3 pages from the end.
I like the look of it, my only quibble would be that when you submit a post it doesn't display it immediately just brings up the forum list.

If you click into the topic, the last three pages are selectable. Alternatively clicking on the ... expands the pages for selection

love the new look, but how do I change the time on here ? All posts appear 1 hour behind the actual time, but I can't find how to change the time in the profile option.

There's "show unread posts since last visit" just under Hello Dave Cooper top left.

When you press quote the cursor doesn't go to the end of the quote itself, like it did on the previous forum, but to the bottom of the box in the "Quick Reply" section, meaning you have to double check and move the cursor down. I know it's only a small matter in the grand scheme of things, but it's a bit annoying. Can that be changed?
Just noticed it doesn't list our join date anymore. I miss that!
On the old version it was more obvious when first logging on which posts were now, the colours seemed to work well.

For those of us that have been around over 10 years, the join date was irrelevant anyway - we are on the umpteenth different forum now.
I appreciate the hard work you guys do with the site, been reading H&V forever... but I have to admit I don't like the new format. I find the colour scheme very dull and it's harder to read. It's also harder to notice who's posting and takes more effort. I think a lot is to do with the colour scheme though.

It does indeed, although it also hides my user name and the options to show the unread posts since last visit and new replies to your posts. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions.
I assumed the little minus above the notification box that remains might remove the second "Login Problems" message but that actually removes all the banners on the left-hand side of the page.Correct.
What I was actually coming back in to ask (and suspect I might have asked this years ago on another version of the forum) was whether there's any way for you of forcing the username to appear directly above their individual quote as opposed to all at the start of a quoted conversation? I assume not and that it's one of the software's few evils, but thought I'd ask all the same.Yes it's part of the software.
Oh and any idea why when quoting the end quote command always appears on the line after the last bit that's been typed? It doesn't appear to have the same effect as in the forum's last incarnation and quotes do seem to be a lot tighter and cleaner so far, but was just something else I noticed.Agin it's part of the software.

Can we have an easier way of navigating to the next/previous page in a thread rather than having to click on the page number? At the mo, the "previous, next" links as for the threads themselves, not pages within the same thread. Just a little thing, but quite annoying! Otherwise, top marks for the new look!There are no settings within the software for 'next page', as clicking [new] at the end of tread title takes you to either a)the start of the thread or b)to the last page you looked at in the thread, in most cases you would then only need to go on a couple of pages by using the numbers.

Its a small thing, but I miss the box that used to be at the bottom, telling you who was on line and the record number of visitors and such like.It will return, but on Monday when MON left, it would have taken up half the screen!! lol

If you mean return to thread rather than topics, there is a setting in > Profile > Layout > Return to topic after posting (or soemthing similar).
A minor quibble... when listing members can you have a ranking number next to the Username? I want to know where I am in the 'league' of total posts without having to count them.
I'm 53rd, by the way... which makes me Milton Keynes Dons. ** Shudders **.
Why are some posters listed as 'Golden Muppet' but many others who are also GMs like myself aren't?

Top left under Banner - Show new repliews to your posts
If it is not there then you have 'collapsed' the top of the forum, to open click arrows in the top right hand corner.

Martin, my pm facility doesn't seem to be working. When I enter the receivers name and then move down to the subject box the name appears below the receivers box with a red square and x in it. This happens when receiver is either online/offline. Its doin my nut in.

Its doin my nut in.As Legion said "nothing" that is how it is supposed to work, by dropping the name below it allows you to send the same message to another user by entering their name. The red x deletes the name if required.

It's a setting in your profile. The downside is the quick reply box is not obvious then.
The setting is under the Look and Layout and there is an option on Use Quick Reply on Topic Display. Set it to show but off by default and you when you quote the old quoting style returns. Can still make mistakes there though of course.
Any chance we that the "Share" (with Facebook, Twatter, etc) can be got rid of or at least moved somewhere not between the posts and the file path? It keeps causing my browser to temporarily lock up.

Orange is for Golden Muppets, or it will when we get round to giving it to peeps.
'Muppet Hero' status is awarded to a user who for some reason has been a major help to the forum, it is of no fixed term and is decided on by the 'Admins'.
So... what ever happend to the funky mobile site that was coming with this new version.
