From Pravda (http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/ClubNewsDetail/0,,10265~2108252,00.html):
Aston Villa is pleased to announce a new fleet deal with Fiat Group Automobiles UK.
Having recently launched our record new partnership with FxPro Financial Services Ltd, a leading global retail broker in Forex (foreign exchange) markets, the club has secured another strong partner in Fiat, official vehicle supplier to the England football team and also Wembley Stadium.
The four-year agreement kicks off on August 2 and incorporates Fiat cars and Fiat Professional commercial vehicles, which will help steer the club to success on the road in the Premier League and Europa League as well as in cup competitions this season.
This new arrangement is a reflection of the history and heritage enjoyed by both businesses - Fiat has produced around 90 million vehicles since it was founded in Turin in 1899, while Aston Villa formed in 1874 and was a founder member of the Football League in 1888.
Fiat's award-winning 500 city car, the new Fiat Punto Evo and Fiat Doblo and the rugged Fiat Ducato are among the vehicles being acquired by the club.
Aston Villa's Chief Executive, Paul Faulkner said: "We are delighted to be entering this partnership with a leading international brand such as Fiat.
"Not only will this relationship benefit our fans by providing them with special terms on vehicles, it is also part of our continuing plan to develop and strengthen key commercial partnerships off the field alongside a successful team on the pitch."
"This is another fantastic opportunity for both Fiat and Aston Villa," said Andrew Humberstone, managing director, FGA UK & Ireland.
"We are enjoying considerable success with current sports tie-ins and I am sure this latest deal with Aston Villa will bring us similar results."
"Aston Villa represents a key partner in the newly launched MyFiat loyalty card," added Paolo Lo Monaco, Finance and Business Development Director, FGA UK & Ireland.
"And on top of the significant cross-marketing opportunities from the loyalty card, the partnership will offer Fiat brands major exposure into the Birmingham automotive market through both the retail and corporate environments of the Aston Villa network."

Do you think we'll see Gabby in a fiat cinquecento next year?
-
Marlon Harewood's head looked like the front of a Fiat Multipla.
-
Why couldn't they have joined up with a decent car manufacturer such as Nissan?
The fact that I drive a Nissan does not make the above in any way biased.
-
Don't forget FIAT also make Ferraris...
-
Maybe we will see the return of cars driving around the pitch at half time and before kick off, a-la 1980s Maestros and Metros, Jesus they really were crap cars.
Can you imagine seeing John Carew pull up at BMH in a Fiat 500!
-
i think i would prefer FIAT on the shirt than fxpro .
do you think they will have 'john carew drives a punto ' on the scoreboard when he bangs in a header ?
-
I hope we are as succesful as Fiat's main team have been... preferably without the bribery scandals and enforced relegation on the way.
-
Do you think we'll see Gabby in a fiat cinquecento next year?
Or the Fiat C*nttogetinto as it is better known.
-
Don't forget FIAT also make Ferraris...
And ALFA ROMEO
-
And Maserati
-
you could change the FIAT logo to FLAT. no one would notice.
-
my Daughters got a Fiat Punto. she loves it
-
Why not Rover?
-
Ah FIAT. Short for "Fix It Again, Toni!"
-
Ah Memories, departing Pisa airport at 9am on a Monday morning in the pouring rain directly onto the Motorway me and Mrs H in a fiat Cinquento.
I have never been so scared
-

wonder if they will be half claret / blue with Colliers splashed down the side, like those shitey 'mini' metros
-
which will help steer the club to success on the road in the Premier League and Europa League as well as in cup competitions this season.
..how exactly?
-
I know many years ago when they had a tie in with Rover the players drove to the training ground in their jags and ferraris and got into a Colliers sponsored Rover to drive to the ground
Now they all arrive together in the team coach.
I remember going to the training ground many years ago and saw Ray Graydon getting into a Ford Cortina 2000E with a vinyl roof and my Dad saying "flash git"
How times have changed
-

All I remember of that was the Evans Halshaw or Colliers cars being driven round the perimeter with Deano & Garry Parker taking pot shots at them
-
It will be a good partnership for us.

Big cash boost for Aston Villa’s transfer ambitions (http://www.sportspromedia.com/deals/_a/big_cash_boost_for_aston_villas_transfer_ambitions/?utm_source=Syndication+Websites&utm_campaign=Syndication+Websites&utm_medium=syndication_websites)
The club has finished in the top six of the Premier League in each of the last three seasons - something no other club outside Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal has managed.
Something nice to read to counter all this negativity going round.

I thnk this is the plan Faulkner and co are working to. Randy wants the club to be self-sufficient and the only way to manage this is to tie up these big commercial deals. Gate receipts don't contribute much to turnover as opposed to TV and corporate sponsorship. I would expect any new North Stand to be sponsored.

You should have a go in a Fiat 500 Arbarth. It'll blow your cock off.
-
In the current climate we can't be too picky about sponsors. Fiat/Alfa are as good as anyone to be the official car suppliers.
-
Fucking Italian Ash Tray
-
wonder if they will be half claret / blue with Colliers splashed down the side, like those shitey 'mini' metros
.
The ones that could barely make it around the pitch perimeter at half time without spluttering to a halt in a puddle of oil?
Remember the "state of the art" electronic scoreboard at Villa Park proudly announcing that "Steve McMahon drives an Austin Maestro".
And Ken McNaught sent his club-issue Montego back because he couldn't fit his dogs in the boot...
What a different world it was back then
-
I'm proud to be sponsored by such an illustrious name.
I wouldn't drive one of these lousy metal handbags if you paid me.
-
Has anyone got any figures on how much cash this means for Villa ???
