I agree too, however, I'm hoping for much better. That team got 6th last season, it wouldn't next season. I'd like to see a better right back, even Luke Young instead of Cuellar, even Beye. Scott Parker or Ireland in centre mid, even Mcgeady or Bentley on a wing, with A Young on the other, maybe even Downing in the middle? I'm sure Keane will be 'up top' against West Ham too.

That midfield will be overrun more times than last year's.  No problem with Ireland but if you play him with two wingers I reckon you can only have one up front and A N Other alongside Petrov.

Hopefully MON watched the World cup and learned something from it.  2 holding midfielders was norm plus fast raiding players left and right and an attcking midfielder joining with the main striker  down the middle. Surely  we need to move on from the 70's?
