Class player. First and foremost, Ash is the one we need to be keeping. Fabio needs to wake up and give him a couple of games to prove himself for England. We lacked that sort of ability on the flanks badly in the WC.

Seeing Martin Laursen on the vids makes me misty eyed. Another class act.

And in the cartoon at the end of the Young clip, is that a glimpse of the new kit? V-neck shirt with FXPro logo. Hmmmm... I wonder...

Now Pravda (http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/ClubNewsDetail/0,,10265~2084883,00.html) have come clean:

Quote

Video stars (http://www.youtube.com/user/E18HTEEN7EVENTY4OUR)

Villa's star names have been wowing fans on the web over the past few weeks - and we want you here next season to see them do the same when it really matters.

In our set of highly-popular viral videos, shared by hundreds of thousands of supporters worldwide via social network sites, we had four of your heroes performing heroics in front of the camera.

Carlos Cuellar amazed fans when he smashed a ball at a groundsman whose lawnmower was making too much noise during an interview and that was followed up by John Carew fixing lighting issues on the North Stand's giant AVFC stadium crest before the awards dinner.

If that wasn't enough, we had James Milner bouncing balls off the crossbar and into wheelie bins and Ashley Young crashing shots into the crossbar blindfolded.

While we can't guarantee the quality quartet will work miracles like these, we can promise yet more excitement as the new campaign kicks off.

Villa have dazzled the Barclays Premier League over the past few seasons and Martin O'Neill will be looking for more of that attacking brand of football as the new campaign kicks off.

And you'd be crazy to miss the opportunity to see the claret and blue troops as they hit the top-flight trail again.

Villa season tickets are now on general sale - so make sure you act fast to snap up your seats for the coming season.

The only way you can now guarantee your place for 2010-11, which starts in just over six weeks, is by buying a season ticket.

A season ticket offers you the chance to see the claret and blue troops thrill on the Barclays Premier League stage - at fantastic prices.

It is your passport to the best division in the world and enables you to sample the tremendous Villa Park atmosphere.

Enjoy home clashes against Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and exciting derby matches against Blues, West Brom and Wolves.

Simply download the 10-11 Season Ticket Application Form (http://www.avfc.co.uk/staticFiles/d7/4c/0,,10265~150743,00.pdf) and bring it with you to the Villa Park Ticket Office.

To check availability of seats, contact 0800 612 0970.

For all information surrounding season tickets, click here (http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/SeasonTickets/0,,10265,00.html).

*The viral videos, produced in-house, are the latest in a long line of innovative campaigns by the club, designed to promote season tickets.

They follow hot on the heels of Proud History, Bright Future - where fans received an emotive DVD of the club's terrific past and promising future - and Action Villa, a movie-style initiative featuring a short trailer and personalised posters.

They are really laying it on thick aren't they?

Sales must be a bit disappointing. Anyone know anything about that?

Wait til you see the next one.  It's MON sitting in the stand in South Africa with the same blindfold on.  Somehow he picks out his chosen striker from all the talent on display....Ivanhoe

Actually the next video they'll post will be of a press conference where Martin O'Neill parades a foreign world cup midfield playmaker.

If people doubted the other videos, then they would definitely doubt this one.

Ha ha ha.

If the Ashley one took six months, they must have started filming that Cuellar one in 1989

The Cuellar one was all down to the expertise of the groundsmans driving skills.

Couldn't disagree more.  I've been saying for years that I'd love the Villa to get a bit creative with their promotion, and this is exactly that.

It's a bit of fun, cheap to make, and the effect is really quite positive.

After Milner, Cuellar, Carew and Ash, I'd like to see one with Gabby putting it through the open window of Randy Lerner's car in the car park.

they should do one where we pass to each other for more than 3 times in a row during a match, though maybe thats asking too much of the technology

I think they should make a video of Martin O'Neal actually playing a right back at right back but i doubt if they have the technology for that.

I'm not really particularly talking about the videos which I enjoyed but the language in the press release Leeg posted in the post immediately above my post. Talk about 'dazzling the premier league' and 'delightful brand' of football in the other release from Saturday and so on.

Sory I wasn't clearer on that.

I want to see Richard Dunne go up for a header from a corner with Scouting for Girls and he simultaneously smashes their skulls in with his reinforced bonce as their lifeless corpses collapse in the box followed by a grand Piano which lands on them for some reason.

No video editing either.

I'd like to see him put it through the closed window of Doug's Rolls.
