Title: A Good Walk Spoiled (The Golf Thread)
Post by: UK Redsox on June 21, 2010, 08:01:54 AM
Congrats to Graeme McDowell on winning the US Open at Pebble Beach.

The first UK winner of a major since 1999 and the first European to win the US Open since Tony Jacklin in 1970.

Shame he did it during the world cup as hardly anyone has mentioned it much!

Good stuff.

Well done G-Mac. It's nice to see a European win. He was cool and calm, unlike Dustin Johnson.

Don't really follow golf but I quite like the Ryder Cup so happy to see a European win. Even stayed up to watch the last few holes which is unusual for me.

Well done Graeme.
