Title: Best 1-0 win at Arsenal in doomed League Title run-in
Post by: TopDeck113 on November 14, 2008, 08:02:55 PM
In both 89/90 and 92/93 we played at Highbury in the run-in to what ultimately be runners-up position in the league.

On both occasions we won 1-0.

Which was your favourite of the two victories?

For me it has to be the 1990 match. Chrissie Price last minute. Cue delirium at the Clock End. It was yet another classic twist in what is one of my all-time favourite seasons following Villa.

It also completed the 'double' over the reigning League Champions. When did we last do that?

Has to be 1990 for me as well.  Spink was inspired that night and Chrissy Price's crap celebration was a joy to behold.

1990. it was a better goal too. and we wore our home shirt at Highbury! we also did the same at Anfield that year. i'm not sure why we did though but there was deemed to be no colour clash that year. 1993 was great though - nice to see Daley score as he'd missed most of that season through injury.

1990 - I remember the sheer tension that night and when Chrissie scored it just seemed that our name was on the trophy.
