Unai will want to wrap up Champions League spot asap and will pick our strongest team.
1-2 to the Villa.

8 wins from 8 against Fulham for Unai. Our favourite opponents.

Londonfranky 0 HandV 4.
looking forward to to our 2018 derby another strange old season down the cottage, beating teams that were expected to beat giving some of the top teams a hard game, Harry Wilson having his best ever season, without him and Jiminez we could have been down with Spurs and West Ham fighting for the last relegation place, it’s been a bit like last season going really well, looking like we could get in a European place, then when we get into March it all seem to go downhill, technically we could still get a place in Europe but there a couple of team better placed, the rumours down here seem to be that Harry Wilson is on his way you, Good luck to him this will be his last big contract, looks like we might be losing Marco silva as well, not sure where he would go, but there’s going to be lots of vacancies in the summer, anyway on to game I’m hoping that that Emery rest the entire team saving them for the Europa league semifinal in two weeks time!! we’re a bit toothless at the moment, hope you’re as generous as you were against Sunderland, you’ve got the champions league place sewn up so hopefully Emery will rest a few
-
Cheers LF. I don't think Unai will be resting players, but it will still be tough. Either 1-1 or maybe 2-1 to us, if Wilson isn't too keen to impress.
-
Yes, I expect a pretty strong team as he will want to get CL wrapped up.
All the best Franky.

Poll added.

Thought Josh King looked superb early in the season Franky, but seems to have been quiet in the second half.
-
A sunny afternoon out on the banks of the Thames, the team riding high, on the cusp of the CL and a European semi-final to look forward too. Perfect for everything to come crashing down.
Except it won't. Despite Fulham being relatively relaxed and possibly playing with freedom, I think our focus at this stage, driven relentlessly by Emery will see us to another win although tight, and we will concede.

I suppose it an age thing he was only 17 when he started the season, has been swapping with Emile smith rowe on a regular basis, Smith Rowe has improved since the start of the season so that probably the reason

Hi Londonfranky!
You lot will get something from the game we're meant to win to secure a Champions League place.
1-1
It's the Villa way...
-
We've won 6 in a row against Fulham since the Gerrard game, I fancy us to make it 7.
Them 0 Us 3

I wonder if Wilson will celebrate when he scores against his new club.

I wonder if Wilson will celebrate when he scores against his new club.
I'm reminded of that time Wes Hoolanan scored and didn't celebrate because he thought he was joining us. Then he didn't.

Haha, exactly what I was thinking.

Always good to hear from you, Franky.
Best of luck - from 2.30pm Saturday onwards!

Not sure about the "relaxed and playing with freedom" bit. They might currently sit 12th, but win their game in hand (this one against us) and they go level with Chelsea and one point outside the European places. I can't image they could be MORE motivated?
I'm hoping we have enough (and I think we do), but they are a million miles away from being 'on the beach'.
-
You're right, but under Marco Silva, Fulham seem to spend whole seasons at a time "on the beach".
Playing perfectly well and calmly, safe in the knowledge that they will definitely finish somewhere between ninth and thirteenth.
-
Fulham are the very definition of mid-table. It won't be an easy game but I can't see us losing there. How good a result a draw would be would depend on other results I suppose.
-
Score first and we should win. There is not a lot of goals in this Fulham side.
-
I thought the same about Sunderland!
-
..and you were correct...in the end!

No shade intended here but we suspect, if they could have their time again, TNT might not have selected Fulham v Aston Villa as their Premier League choice this weekend.
With two games that could either settle once and for all or completely reshape the relegation fight – West Ham v Everton and Wolves v Spurs – both remaining Saturday 3pm affairs, we instead get mid-table Fulham taking on an Aston Villa side now thoroughly safe and secure inside the top five and likely to have at least one eye on the upcoming Europa League semi-final against Nottingham Forest.
The only teams outside the top five within even eight points of Villa’s 58 both have only four games left. It’s entirely possible Villa could lose every one of their remaining games and still be fine. They also probably won’t do that anyway.
So yes, it’s a low-key Saturday lunchtime affair by Premier League run-in standards but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing at stake at all.
There remains an England World Cup squad place ready and waiting for any striker to decisively claim it, for one thing, and with three goals in his last three games Ollie Watkins is making a late grab after a mixed season.
-
Perfectly reasonable assessment
-
It’s a bit like when we were involved in a relegation scrap and up against a rival for the drop but Man Utd would be playing against whoever to see if they’d make 2nd or 3rd. I take it as a mark of our progress.
-
Pretty sure we're the most televised side in the country.

Pretty sure we're the most televised side in the country.
We seem to have been for the last 3 seasons.
If Spurs stay up they will be Monday night regulars next season like Everton, West Ham and ManU this season. Biggest clubs without any European interest. Chelsea too potentially.
-
1 Man U - 30 league games televised
2 Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Forest, Tottenham - 29
7 Villa, Liverpool - 28.

46 televised games next year for Tottenham. Something to look forward to.

Good to hear that they won't be making the play-offs.

That’s nuts, we need to bring back CEEFAX
-
Surprised to see Fulham are slight favourites with the bookies for this one. Wonder what that's based on?
Anyway, I think we'll win but won't keep a clean sheet. 2-1

And ban match threads. Rage was contained so much more easily when quietly seething at the Villa's latest collapse via the Soccer Saturday updates from Dixon's shop windows.
-
Apparently Thomas Tuchel is going to the game. More incentive for Ollie to score!
I stand by my 1-1 draw prediction.
