Err Konsa on the bench have I missed something?

Lindy's been solid enough when called on though, so here's hoping (though him and Barkley doesn't make you feel as safe as Konsa and Kamara...ah well).

It must be an injury, because playing a CB pairing who’ve never played together in a league match doesn’t make sense otherwise. They've played together twice in the cup home matches where we've won one and lost one.

I also don't like old man Digne starting. Last time we played them and won Maatsen started and was very good.

Please god, just a win. I never thought I’d find a set of fans more annoying and self-righteous than the Albion and then I moved up here.

Luckily I am on holiday so will have a few days either way before I have to listen to it all.

Surely he wouldn't be on the bench but yes like you I am concerned that we are losing lot of domination in that position with Lindelof and Torres pairing.

He must have an on going issue we are not aware of and can flare up in warm up. I would prefer he drop out rather than limit his performance by not being 100%

Morgan Rogers will make his 100th appearance for Aston Villa since the start of last season.

Onana's doing ok. We gave it away twice in the space of ten seconds a little earlier, and he won it back immediately both times.

Agreed, doing the basics and doing them well

Ollie's first touch... is it not something that can be improved after training for thousands of hours?

I actually didn't think it was all that bad. Good goalkeeping though.

His touch was a bit too loose and meant he couldn't get his shot off properly.  2-0.there and we'd have been in a very strong position.

Could've been 2/3 up and in cruise control. Then decide to start dribbling and attempting 1-2's just outside our own penalty area.

Chaotic stuff.

Nicely set up from here for beanpole Wood to come on and do the usual against us second half.

Watkins missing his 1 on 1 as fully expected (I genuinely expect him to miss those ones) will probably be the difference between a deserved comfortable win and an edgy one (hopefully) or a draw.

It's pretty much as expected tbh. A tight game of football away to a decent and motivated side which could go either way. As most are. Rogers is flickering, but was poor before the goal. Watkins did okay with the chance considering he didn't have much room to play in.

Barkley and Tielemans are a bit quiet, which is a shame as I think they can be the difference if we get them on the ball. Bit congested by the look of things. Probs bring on Maatsen and try to use both full backs.

I wonder who we'll loan Tammy out to in the summer, and what the buy obligation will be.

Our deliveries from wide are really poor. Not just in this game, either. Generally.

We could sign Harry Kane and he wouldn't shift Watkins from the side.
