Title: Bologna (Away)
Post by: Paul.S on March 19, 2026, 11:06:04 PM
Getting in very early here.
If there are 1 or 2 that are spare then could I put my hat in the ring for them please?

Anyone booked to go to Bologna? I got a flight and hotel package for £405. Fly from Brum, change at Amsterdam, then onto Bologna. Not a bad deal i think.

careful, I realise there have been threats to check names on tickets in the past, but the Italians do this for domestic games in the home end, so passing on tickets for this one might be tricky.

A friend of mine can’t go to this one but isn’t purchasing a ticket to sell on due to the ticket check risk.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve spoken to a few people now and they have said the same. It appears there is a high chance of this happening so I think I’ll wait to see if I can get one through my booking history. I know they’ll seize the tickets and don’t want to get anyone in trouble as well as myself.

You don't get checked in the away ends based on Kopite expriences of the San Siro etc.

San Siro - no
Olympic Stadium - no
Atlanta- yes

I'd just buy it and go for it. If there is a bit of sun about, the away end will be steaming and they're more likely to let you through.  This is incidentally the intelligence that WMP share with whoever we're playing. Words to the effect of "they'll behave, but they will drink you dry".

2,430 allocation with confirmation they will be checking your ID against your ticket.
I wonder if it’ll get down to season ticket holders?

Good job you can rely on the Germans.....

After BA cancelled our flight home from Bologna last night a quick play on the internet and we're on the Eurowings flight from Venice to Heathrow via Düsseldorf.
Or so we thought.
Train up this morning went smoothly but the ATC strike in Italy this afternoon means the first leg of the journey is delayed and connecting flight would be missed. Step up the Eurowings support who have now placed us on a flight via Zurich tomorrow and chauffeured us off to a hotel for the night gratis. What looked like an expensive few days in Venice (or a stopover in the land of Auf Wiedersen Pet) before anything could be done on Monday is now a modest inconvenience and home before Saturday lunchtime.
