Sun 15th, 14.00 KO.
1-1
-
I would take that.
-
6-7.
-
Obviously they will win. Can't decide if it will be a twatting, a bottling from two goals up, injury time catastrophe or just outright cheating like the last visit, but they will win.
-
6-7.
As a teacher and parent, aren't you sick of that shi'?
-
Have a feeling we'll get a positive result on Sunday (even before tonight's game). I'd a take a win, 2-1 to us.
-
Last time we played away, three days after beating Lille, with a cobbled-together midfield and no Kamara and everyone thinking we were on the verge of blowing Champions League qualification:

Nailed on defeat, as certain as night follows day.
Just a question of when the dodgy penalty gets awarded.
-
We get a dubious 96th min pen. Our first of the season. Finally some karma for all the dodgy decisions and late goals against these. Ollie runs up, blam. GOAL. Final score ManU 4 Villa 1.

Indeed.
-
I think we will win, blind optimism maybe but pressure is on them. That will give us opportunities.
Maatsen and McGinn will hopefully start. I'm assuming Cash will be out.
-
1 0 villa SJM winner
-
Oh fucking hell, not this fixture again.

I'm going positive for this one. Fuck it. We're going to win.
-
Fuck this fixture forever.
-
Let's hope Mr Emery starts off his next century of wins the way he started the first.
-
Going for a loss, on the basis that on Monday VAR declares that the ninety minute we do score the winning goal is offside and awards Manchester United 3 points
-
Yanited 3-1 Us. I refuse to bother being positive about this fixture.
-
The bile is starting to rise.
Please let us beat them, don't care how just beat them
-
Fuck this fixture forever.
The Libertines or George Orwell.
-
Fuck this fixture forever.
⬆️
This i absolutely hate this one. We have never done a manure double over them since the PL was formed
Please
Let this be the season
-
Fuck this fixture forever.
Yeah. We never get anything and nothing goes our way at the best of times. Now that there’s a narrative of man u turning a corner we’re cannon fodder for their wonderful underdog redemption story.
I fucking hate them all.
-
Fuck this fixture forever.
The Libertines or George Orwell.
You meant Babyshambles, but I mean the picture of the future where you imagine Mattheus Cunha wheeling away in celebration in your face - forever.
-
They will cheat and with more than a little help from the officials, they'll win.
-
I’m not making this up but Taylor is the referee with Gillet on VAR
-
Im contemplating avoiding it totally on Sunday.
-
Taylor was referee for Unai win #1, against Man U.
-
Didn't watch this fixture last season (still haven't seen one second of the "highlights"), not bothering this season either.
-
Not expecting much so will not be disappointed the Red Manc Wankers
-
Im contemplating avoiding it totally on Sunday.
It's Mother's Day: my Mum has given me the perfect excuse to avoid this game!
-
Annoying narrow 2.1 win for them with Sesko scoring late on
-

It's Mother's Day: my Mum has given me the perfect excuse to avoid this game!
She sounds great.
Me and my boy are taking the good lady out for lonch so probably get back in time to see them score the winner.
Last 2 Mother's Day for the record
Villa 0 . 4 Spuds. However that was a pyrrhic victory for them as it transpired.
Preston 0 .3 Villa. See above come 4 weeks later.
-
Sesko does have a goal in him but isn't much of an athlete, in the way Pedro is. Think that will make it easier on Konsa and Torres bringing the ball out from the back and keeping our line tight. Maatsen on left and Bogarde will continue on right. Worried we will be outnumbered in the middle like we were
v Chelsea but McGinn even 70% fit is a massive improvement over Bailey. I guess Buendia, Rogers and Watkins for the other three spots. Rogers form has collapsed so really could do with him returning to form.
If we release Onana to press higher like he did v Lille then there's a risk Fernandes will have loads of space to cause problems. But it's a risk worth taking for me. Mbuemo will target Bogarde too. If we do win a dirty 1-0 win like under Deano will be perfect. Ollie again.
-
With Cash and Sancho out, we'll need to be strong down our RHS, so hopefully SJM is fit and ready.
Martinez
Bogarde Konsa Torres Digne
Luiz Onana
McGinn Rogers Watkins
Abraham
I'd strengthen the left side (to counter the Amad / Mbuemo threat) with Watkins playing in a wide role; controversial, maybe; unlikely, for sure!

another option would be to play Maatsen there like he did last night.

I've captained Fernández in fantasy football to ease my inevitable pain

Emery could go with that alright, wouldn't be my choice. Much prefer Maatsen at left back to Digne these days. Hard to second guess Emery, Elliot could be back in from the cold (again). Hope we don't see Bailey on right and McGinn left.
-
Whatever happens, we can’t more than one of sancho, bailey and buendia on the pitch ay the same time.
-

We definitely can't have any of Sancho on the pitch at any time.
-
Fuck this fixture forever.
Yep that's where I'm at as well. I hate those fuckers. I'll miss it as I'm going to Project Hail Mary. A great distraction from the inevitable dodgy penalty won by ratface to make it 2 - 0 to them.
I just can't see us getting anything from this one.
-
Bailey is going to start isn’t he.
-
I've captained Fernández in fantasy football to ease my inevitable pain
I’ve done a wildcard and lobbed in Fernandes, Mbeumo and Sesko.
-
Im contemplating avoiding it totally on Sunday.
It's Mother's Day: my Mum has given me the perfect excuse to avoid this game!
As an orphan, I'm available for hire on Mother's Day. No Mother too big or small. Very competitive rates.
-
I hate watching this fixture, and say i'm going to give it a miss, but always have that thought in the back of my mind that it might be different this time.
It rarely is.
Kudos to any Villa fans going to OT.
I really hope it is different this time.
0-1 - Luiz penalty

Ha ha, now that's funny.
-
You're right, i should have been more realistic in my prediction, OK i'm going 28-0 to us.
-
Bailey is going to start isn’t he.
Unless McGinn is injured then no.
-
Hopefully saying Bogarde is crap at RB will have the required effect again.
-
As with everyone else, hate this fixture, but doubt will get to watch it being mothers day.
If Cash is definitely out, I’d go with.
Martinez
Bogarde. Konsa. Torres. Mastsen
McGinn. Luiz. Onana
Beundia. Rogers
Watkins
And the main reason amongst many that i hate this fixture is the eternal hope of a delusional man.
2-1 (McGinn, Watkins)
-
Hopefully saying Bogarde is crap at RB will have the required effect again.
Hopefully but different level of opponent at weekend to deal with, Cunha?. McGinn in front of him will help. Thankfully Mount is out, tends to turn up against us.
-
Bailey is going to start isn’t he.
Unless McGinn is injured then no.
I think Bailey will start and McGinn will replace him after an hour or so

I bloody hope not. Bailey v1.0 was never good away from home, let alone this version.
-
Yeah, he'll pussy-out of a challenge from Amad, despite being twice his size.
-

And me. Will record it, if / when we lose not watch it. If we win I will wear the sky box out
-

That's a wee bit over the top but i'm with you, I'm going for a Villa win 2-1 think they have a goal in them, in any case if we where sticking out our reserve, reserve team i'd still predict us, after what this dross did to Villa this time last year and what its cost the club since, no way in a million years would I predict these ****ers to win anything, realism or not.
-
I have a sneaky feeling we will go against the odds and get a result there.
It’s Mother’s Day, it’s my birthday. We have too!

Well, those are as 2 good a reasons as any, you mum and your birthday, have good one by the way,

Ain’t they just? As well as them being a massive thorn in our side! Thank you.

Absolutely hate these cheating twats!

Them 3 Us 0.

I was just trying to remember the last time we got a penalty at old trafford. Anyone remember as i can't remember us ever getting one there in my lifetime?

We got one there on New Year's Day 1983, which Sid scored. I know this as I was in the Yanited end that day. We still lost.

I was trying to remember the last time we got a penalty…and scored.

I think we had one in the 3-3 80/81 but wouldn't swear to it. Can't remember one there in the last 40 years.

Rashy at ManC is the last one I think.

Maybe Monty will know when we last had one.
-
All I know is that William McGregor said it was a stonewall pen
-
I just pray we dont go 2 goals up.
-
what score would people feel relaxed at going into stoppage time.
For me I wouldnt relax unless we were 3 up
-
Another of these afternoons please.
Fucking hell Ollie.
Its just never EVER meant to be against these c***s is it?
YEEEEEESSSS!
Hause get in there!
AND THERE YOU FUCKING GO A MAN U PENALTY
It’s a MISSSSSSSS
From the BBC….
90'+3'
Post update
Penalty missed! Bad penalty by Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) right footed shot is too high. Bruno Fernandes should be disappointed.
Finally! Justice served, not only this match but the X others where they robbed us.
"Whoooooo the fuck are Man Uniiiiiiited?"
-
Cant remember who posted it that day - but I liked the one about as sure as a shit after coffee
-
Excellent work Dave. Any sign of a cyst?
-
Even then, they got an absolute nonsense penalty that literally nobody would have got against them.
-
I had no idea I'd been hating on Watkins for so long! Why don't we just fuck already.*
*I've been exposed to American drama on the internet.

Yeah, I dropped that one in as a little Easter egg for the fans.

Do...do people think I'm...old?
-
The ball from that penalty miss is now almost at the half way point to Mars.
-
I'm looking forward to this as much as I would look forward to route canal treatment without anaesthetic. I'll be watching in Benidorm with 8 other Villa fans no doubt massively outnumbered by plastic Mancs from all over Southern England. Can't be arsed to predict the result but I can predict that even if we are still in with a shout in the second half the onfield officials will find a way to get them the result they so richly deserve. If not VAR will come to their rescue. The only other certainty is by the end of the game I'll be telling everyone how much I hate Ratface and how much I want to punch him in his face. Let's just get it over with and move on.
-
If Man U play well & we don't, they'll beat us.
If we play well, we'll probably find a way to gift them the result.
If Man U play shite, we play well & we don't gift them the result, the officials / VAR will find a way to gift them the result.
We've been our own worst enemies at Old Trafford for longer than I care to remember, I don't see anything changing tomorrow. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm actually quite excited to see just what the refs manage to magic up for Man U this time, they've been a creative lot over the years. You never know what you'll get (just that it will be something).
-
The Villa store are emailing with another 15% off clearance. They know rightly what's coming.
My only concern is they don't seem to have a 7 year old wunderurchin to bring on for his debut goal. Sorry in advance.
-
I feel confident about this. My dad and uncle used to call this the biggest game in football so i look forward to it each season. Once we get over that we’re not playing against the busby babes, Bobby Charlton, George Best, Denis Law, Alex Ferguson etc as well as the current line up, we’ll win this and I’m going 2-0
-
It could not be set up any more perfectly for them and Sky.
-
I had no idea I'd been hating on Watkins for so long!
You are not fickle. You will be my first witness called when I finally sue O'Leary for being a ******.

You won't find anyone disagreeing with you on here and that is a perfectly valid addition to the discourse. They are indeed scumbag cheating twats.
-
Can we just not bother playing away against anybody with Manchester in their club name ever again?

In a do or die game at the end of last season against an awful Man United side we fell short - albeit with a ref doing poorly, which is hardly a surprise. I struggle to see how we reverse the witches curse when we’re in a bit of a low ebb and they’re in a decent space.
-
No point even hoping. We'll lose. Totally broken from gathering any form of optimism against that shower.

Yep, this is a home banker

Fucking hell. 1983 !! Thats unbelievable
-
Thrown another lifeline, come on Villa, its in your hands now we can take third spot and have a sizable points lead over Chelsea or Liverpool, vital at this point in the season.
-
Expecting to see our inferiority complex on show tomorrow. 3-0 defeat.
-
Clean sheet will win it for us
Late fitness test for Matty.
-
Convincing defeat, absolutely no doubt in my mind.
The only slight hope is it's the same ref as Unai's first game which was against these feckers, it would be win 101,so hopefully one of those weird things happen.
-
Expecting to see our inferiority complex on show tomorrow. 3-0 defeat.
This is what I am expecting. I think I have PTSD from this fixture last year.
Just before kick off - after a glass of wine with mothersday's lunch - Im sure that ill convince myself that this time will be different - and then hate myself for it 3 hours later.
At least Chelsea lost.
-
I’m sure we’ll lose - but this would be a really good time to find our shape, structure, and character again in the league. If we could get something it’d be huge.
-
Reading the Chelsea forums, they seem to think they're shit and Rosenier is a useless ******.

Whilst I don't think we will get anything, we had similar stats at Newcastle before the game in January.

What's Kortney Hause up to for the weekend?

We'll need to score three perfectly good goals today just to get a draw.
