Because it worked last time…

Following the same winning format, I’ll leave it to somebody else to put the team pic up once released.

You’re welcome.

Pretty much as expected, and good to see Pau on the bench.

Yep on Pau, I wonder if Mings was also fit enough but Emery decided he didn't need another defender or whether he failed the late test.

If fully fit then Mings probably gets in ahead of Garcia, with Bogey the Cash cover. Or even Konsa.

CP has a makeshift right -side of defence. We have to make that work for us. Having said that, I'd have put Bogarde in the middle, taken Sancho out and played Maatsen down our left.

Just fcuking win, please.

If we can't beat that Palace team, we might as well just start forfeiting and saving the petrol money to get the bus down there.

Assume Sarr is on International duty.  So that might limit them to just 3 goals.

Onnana - whats his injury?  The Arsenal one i thought was concussion at the time - but clearly not.

Concussions don't have regular or predictable recovery times. You can be fine in a day, or you can be out for months with complications. Usually it's fine, but it's unpredictable.

Onnana - whats his injury?  The Arsenal one i thought was concussion at the time - but clearly not.

They've replaced Sarr - always/only does well against the Villa - with Brennan Johnson - usually does well against the Villa.

I wish I was as confident (or as entitled ;) ) as those of you who think we'll brush them aside. It's not so much the team but playing in that shitty lower league ground that makes the hoodoo. It's like an awkward cup tie against a leage one side every time.

Yeah, I once had a concussion that lasted over a month.

In amateur rugby (and I think football too) there is a mandatory 21 day break as a minimum. For elite players, given the enhanced medical attention available, this isn’t as proscriptive.

If the ball strikes the hand and the ball is diverted, when it was on target, surely that should be a penalty?

Is Sancho's middle name anonymous?

Sancho (piss) poor again. Emery won't do it at ht but I'd be thinking of Malen for him on 55 mins. Rogers looked better last 15 mins. Team looks a bit 'meh' all over the pitch.

Two clear handballs, both could easily have been given but as its us, nope.

Apparently,we've not been awarded a penalty all season. Looks as if Madeley is under instructions that it stays that way.

Hopefully Judy will give him a damn good thrashing when he gets home.

Whoops! Madley.

Something very gravelly almost dirty old manish about this commentator!
His pronunciation of Camera and Dinya is boiling my piss. It's Kamara and Dean you absolute fucking tit.

His pronunciation is pretty much correct. He maybe overdoes the "e" on the end of Digne just very slightly, but that's typical of a southern French accent.
When he signed from Everton they did a piece with him at Bodymoor Heath and asked him to clear up the debate about the pronunciation of his name. In perfect English he said:  it's simple "Luca Dean" as in Dean Smith.

Yep, that's how he always says it - https://youtu.be/ScNovNeQUU4?si=tRJ0wq6of3JIQF4i&t=300 (https://youtu.be/ScNovNeQUU4?si=tRJ0wq6of3JIQF4i&t=300)
No it's not. In that video, you can clearly hear the "ign" sound and the final "e".

"Dean" is an anglicised pronunciation of his name, but it's not how the French pronounce, or Digne himself!

Yeah, he is, just not as clearly as the commentator is making it - which was what I said before. He's Parisian, but if he were from Marseille, you'd be able to hear the final "e" much more clearly.

Either way, his name would have to be spelled "Dine" for it to be pronounced "Dean".
