The third-round ties are due to be played on and around the weekend of 10 January 2026.

I think Unai will be focused on the league* and Europe, so we may not give the FA Cup our fullest attention this year. Out in the 4th round.
*If we're still top 3 or 4 come mid-January.
-
Don't care, we are never winning it again.

Used to be my favourite bit of the season. Time for a new jaunty hat,a rosette, a silver foil fa cup. Now? A shrug at the impossible dream.
-
Of course we are going to win it.
In the way Jo Swinson was going to be PM
-
The way the season is panning out, I don't think we'll put a lot of effort into this.
-
Cam we enter the World Cup draw tomorrow instead? I fancy our chances more.
-
I'm still wounded after last season I think I'd prefer us to go out in the 3rd round. Just saves time and indeed hope.
-
I hope we'll go as far as we can every year.
I hated it when we went years without winning a single tie.

No. 3 will play.........No. 4.
-
No thanks.
-
Given that we are never going to win it, may as well get someone like Man City or Liverpool away. That way I get some enjoyment if we win, more so than a routine win against some lower league side. And if we lose, concentrate on the league/Europe.
-
Don’t know why but I have a horrid suspicion that it will be that game drawn out @ the Sty
-
The draw should be on the council tellybox really instead of TNT.
-
Draw is circa 6.40pm and is on TNT Sports 1 and the FA Cup YouTube channel.
-
For those without TNT you can watch the draw here, starts at 6.30
-
Away at Doncaster would be a preference of mine.

My prediction is Blackburn away. I'd like anybody at home.
-
Surely we have a tradition to uphold ?
Man U away.
-
I reckon Sheffield United at home.
-
Another link to watch.

Always wondered what happened to Princess Di.

we are going to get the chimney boys arent we ?

I have that feeling.

Man U or Wigan?

I have that feeling.
Urgh the thought of it
-
we are going to get the chimney boys arent we ?
I got them in the office FA Cup sweep.
-
We'd batter them.
-
Disgrace it's not on terrestrial TV. Thought it was supposed to start at 6.40. Fannying around, are they?
-
Spurs away. Ugh.
-
Spurs away. Ok
-
That would be a fixture that we really do not need.
Edit: Birmingham, I meant.
-
We'll chuck it.
-
Should win that
-
Crouch is actually looking in the drum when he picks the balls out.
-
At least we'll be a live TV game.
-
Considering we are bound to heavily rotate squad for this, that’s a real tough one.
-
Big allocation.
-
We'll chuck it.
This, sadly.
We'll win the Europa and/or Premier League instead.
-
Shit draw
-
Sack it off. Play Harvey Elliott.
-
Slow chant wankers.
-
They won’t be pleased getting us. Nobody would be.
-
9k will watch us march into round 4.
-
An underwhelming Third Round draw.
-
Spurs are the new Yanited.
-
Chance of a good allocation. Assuming it’s not played at some ungodly hour on a Sunday night or something.
-
Blues away at the mighty Cambridge.
-
Villa to cement Tommy Frank's final game
-
4th round here we come.
4.1 at Spuds. Sancho hat trick
You heard it here.
-
Very unexciting draw, our game is eminently winnable.
But, if we are still flying in the league after new year I’d expect a heavily rotated team.
-
Good draw. If we win I will enjoy it, if not, can concentrate on the league and a cup we might actually win.
-
If we want to win it etc etc. Could've been worse.
Just when you think they can't ruin the FA Cup anymore, you have those 4 absolute banter wankers pissing all over it.
-
Fuck off
-
Not an ideal tie. But they're as likely to play their second string as we are, plus they're shit at home.
We certainly won't throw it, that won't happen under Emery.
-
Blues away at the mighty Cambridge.
Cambridge will be up for it against the 'dark blues'.
-
At least Spuds might play their second eleven as well.
-
Boring draw all round. I feel sorry for Weston Super Mare. Grimsby away.
-
Easy home ties for Liverpool and 115 as per usual.
-

To be fair, he chucks the League Cup every season and we lost to Stevenage in his first FA cup match.
-

That's a dreadful draw
-
Man C played there 2 years ago. Away allocation was 8,899. Priced £10- £35.

-
I know it’s not rigged
But it might as well be
Liverpool and man utd at home to Barnsley and Exeter the fucking Jammie bastards
-
Man United got Brighton.
-
Barnsley and Brighton paid a fair amount to get easy draws.
-

Seems a bit fishy.
-
Macclesfield got Palace which is a more exciting draw than poor Weston-super-Mare got.
-

On the plus side, Grimsby don't have a drum.
-
"Will play Aston Villa"
-
Spurs are another team we seem to play a lot in the cup. At least 4 times i can remember.
-
5th time we've drawn them in the FAC in my time.
-
10,000 tickets hopefully.
-

Et voila!
-
Tottenham won’t want to play us either.
-
It’s a good draw. We can play the reserves and lose without disgrace. Focus on the bigger goals.
-
They are shit at home and are about to face a side that has beaten them there the past two seasons and are arguably the most in form team in Europe. I’d be well fucked off to be in their shoes.
-
Three of the last four seasons, but we lost there last season. Under Emery we have lost two and won four though.
-
It'll be two heavily-rotated teams, IMO.
-
Three of the last four seasons, but we lost there last season. Under Emery we have lost two and won four though.
shit you're right. For some reason I thought the Pau header was a year ago. It was 2023.
-
I think we’ll play our strongest team.
There’s no game midweek following.
-
We'll make more money out of an away tie at Spuds than if we were to play them at home.
Each club gets 45% of gate receipts (10% to the FA).
The most ip to date gate recceiot figs - 2023-24
Spurs made £4.9m per game
Villa £1.3m
Based on those numbers
An away tie gives us £2.45m
A home tie - £0.585m
Madness!!

Those figures are based on a PL game with a full house and obscene ticket prices. Our Cup game won't be a full house and will have reduced ticket prices.

And presumably they don’t split the catering and hospitality income?
-
Man United got Brighton.
Oh yeah
Got that a bit wrong then
-
The numbers may differ if ticket prices are lower, but my argument holds true.
Spuds' capacity is 62,850
Villa Park holds 43,205
And Spuds charge London prices.
They make a whole lot more on their hospitality packages - if the ticket price includes the catering element, then that counts as gate receipts
-
Only gate money will be split, concessions etc stay with the home club.
-
Tickets should be fairly cheap based on Man City figures quoted above.
-
We'll still make more as I reckon as we'd charge less, so even with home concessions it probably woouldn't bridge the higher price and crowd. We lose the 'everyone not named Palace shits themselves about playing at VP' element though.
-
Well rotate heavily and lose.

Highlights in that
Spurs v us
ManYoo c Brighton
Macc v Palace
Wolves v Shrews
Couple of London derbies and for those wanting that early 70s and muddy pitches vibe Derby v Leeds.
Other than that fairly dull tbh.
-
They'll have the Wolves game on TV for the potential of a major shock, Wolves winning a game.
-
10,000 tickets hopefully.
When all you need is a knife

If it's any consolation, I got it straight away

Of course, if we would have drawn Cambridge, we would have been spawny lucky bastards. Which they say we are if we knock Spurs out and get a decent home draw in Round 4.
-
I'd love to play Cambridge, we never do.
-
Last time we played them they beat us, but we won the league. Would probably take that tbh.
-
Disgrace it's not on terrestrial TV. Thought it was supposed to start at 6.40. Fannying around, are they?
Welcome back.
-
I'd love to play Cambridge, we never do.
We played them in the cup didn't we? I was freezing in just a Fred Perry in January
-
TV scheduled games should be announced today. Unlikely we are left alone to stay at Saturday 3pm, hopefully we don't get a late slot on Sunday.
-
Aston Villa’s FA Cup third-round tie against Tottenham Hotspur has been confirmed.
The Villans will travel to north London to face Spurs on Saturday, January 10 (ko 5.45pm), live on BBC1, TNT and Discovery.
It will be Villa’s second trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season having triumphed 2-1 when the two sides met in the Premier League in mid-October.
The tie is also a repeat of last season’s FA Cup fourth-round encounter in which Unai Emery’s side also won 2-1, this time at Villa Park, before going on to reach the semi-finals at Wembley.
There will be no replay if the match ends in a draw, with all ties going to extra-time and, if necessary, a penalty shoot-out.
Full ticketing details will be confirmed in due course.
-
5.45pm on the Saturday, live on BBC.

Please take the full allocation Villa, I quite fancy a trip to the smoke.

That would be 9k. Cheap tickets and kids can go with it being a Saturday. I'm planning to take my granddaughter to her first away game. £30 on the supporters coach seems the easiest way to do it.

Viz a viz the televised 3rd round games, why oh why is the Liverpool v Barnsley being shown on TV ? I understand Man Utd's game v Brighton being shown as it's a PL tie.
-
Because Liverpool.
-
Higher viewing figures for advertisers.
-
Why isnt Wolves Shrewsbury on tv?
-
The Black Country has yet to invent television. Or fire.
-
Before the watershed

Surely if it's 9k this game might reach booking history for seemingly the first time since about 1994?!
Wonder what was the last league away game we played that went down that far for criteria, probably have to go back to our second championship season perhaps when we were taking 6k to likes of Preston and Barnsley?
New Year and we will have trips to Chelsea, Arsenal and Palace all within ten days so would assume a few of our regulars might have big smoke fatigue (and be saving up for the World Cup).
Quite fancy going to this due to our good record at Spurs and it's also the one major football stadium (don't count West Ham) that I haven't seen a live match at yet.

Complete joke considering that is a game played in the premier league every season.
I hope there is some common sense here.
Like us Spurs aren't selling out their European games currently due to unattractive opposition and high prices so would like to think the prices will be around £30-35.
Would be 25 quid again in all parts of the ground if this tie had been at VP.
-
£30 adults and £10 kids apparently

Any chance this gets to members?

Aston Villa can confirm ticket details for the club's FA Cup Third Round trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
Villa have an allocation of 8,901 tickets for their second visit of the season to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, on Saturday, January 10 (ko 5.45pm).
https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2025/december/16/ticketing-spurs-fa-cup-ticket-details
-
8900 tickets - probably general sale.
-
I’ll be going to this, first away this season and a chance to experience the Tottingham stadium. Where is the ideal place to park up near a tube station?
-
Members on sale Monday morning is what I a reading.
If I can get tickets do people think it would be a suitable game to bring my 6 year old to as his first away game? It's a long time since I have been to an away game and I know we have some knobhead fans?
-
What's the chances of it going to non-season tickets,non-members ?
-
I’ll be going to this, first away this season and a chance to experience the Tottingham stadium. Where is the ideal place to park up near a tube station?
Park at Cheshunt which is outside the ULEZ. Train/tube to WHL.
-
What's the chances of it going to non-season tickets,non-members ?
I can never get tickets as a member (not that I can go) to away games. Think ST only.
There are 000's of members as far I know. I had to sign up to get tickets together for me and lad.
That said as noted it is 4th away game in London in 2 weeks which is saturation in anyone's book and have to purchase at time of year when people are most skint.
-
This will get as far as members I'd imagine, hard to tell with the form we are in if it will go to general sale with booking history. Me and the boy will go if we can get tickets, as members away days are not possible and the boy has never been away with Villa and he is desperate to go..🙏
-

Yeah we have Palace away three days before and also Arsenal and Chelsea within three days over Xmas. With the West Ham game we'll be playing five times in London in under a month.
Our away support is mind boggling if we sell out 9k without it even going to members but I suspect not. They'll be a few single tickets floating around for general sale I reckon as this allocation is a third of what we'd take for a Wembley match and that always reaches booking history.
-

Thanks Oldhill_avfc.
-
See you there
-
This will go to general sale i would have thought.
-
I doubt it will affect me getting a ticket but why aren’t European aways included in the away points system?
Feyenoord was the only one I’ve been able to get since becoming season ticket holder again.
-
The same reason the domestic aways are not included in the European aways. There's a definite cross over between the two groups but keeping it distinct opens up the aways to different folks.
-
Probably just as good I am not manager but would play most of our second string in this game.
Spurs without Sarr, Bissouma (sp.) due to Afcon and hopefully still a few injured so I reckon we would still give them a good match.
After the financial turmoil earlier this year and for our long term prospects it is more important we qualify for Champions League via UEFA cup or through league. Our squad is not getting any younger and a load of cash will be needed to extend Unai's run for many years to come.
We are extremely unlikely to win FA Cup, end in top 4 or win the UEFA cup all in the same season. Our squad would be to stretched. I take great pleasure in watching Man City*, Arses, Newcastle, Chelski, Palace and Spuds knackering their squad in pursuit of the impossible dream.
I would risk being knocked out the FA Cup early and concentrating all our energies in qualifying for the Champions League next year.
-
^^Same. I'd much rather go out in the third round than the semi-final.

I only have the energy for two.

Managed to get two tickets this morning - though it looks like it's sold out pretty rapidly. UTV
-
Managed to get two. Surprised we sold out so quickly. Impressive.
-
Ive been trying for the last half hour and nothing. That website is truly shocking.
-
Tickets secured. Looking forward to it.
-
Ah well
-
Just got one after saying sold out fo last 45 minutes. I think the system has been crashing!
-
I bought 2 just now - some tickets just popped up available but not many
-
There’s a few singles popping up if anyone is still looking
-
Got 3 this morning, website is carnage, was ok once let it select seats but when trying to select particular ones it just didn’t work
-
There’ll be tickets dropping out of people’s baskets so keep going on, I just got one like that.
-
Just got two easily enough.
-
Got 3 this morning, website is carnage, was ok once let it select seats but when trying to select particular ones it just didn’t work
Yeah, that's the issue I had.
-
Me too suddenly clearly about 1020 and got the best seats I could have done anyway.
It was frustrating I overslept because of the cricket! So much better now
-
Missed out. Bollocks!
-
I'd say keep checking every now and then.
-
Spurs should give us another 5k. Bet they don't sell out.
-
So much for going to general sale 😔, ..or members even
-
I’m amazed, but it’s a fantastic effort by our fans.
-
Fuck that. I negotiated a pass out and avoided the Mother In Laws birthday meal and didn't get a ticket.
So now I have to leave the house at 11 and come back pissed at midnight!
Not a trial in all honesty but still.....
-
Grr i forgot to login till 10am yesterday and sold out, too busy at work to try later, ffs
-
I thought we took 8900 tickets? And they sold them all to season ticket holders? Fuck me.
-
Sold out in 22 minutes they reckon?
-
Sold out in 22 minutes they reckon?
Well that’s not true as I got mine at 10:15, 45 mins after they went on sale.
-
I suspect the 22 mins was the first "sold out" but then some baskets emptied back a few times.
-
Yeah I got mine well after that.
-
It also had multiple windows with different criteria. So first batch Weds, another Thurs and then Fri it sold out.
-
Why are some people surprised that we sold out?
-
No one is surprised we sold out, it is just the speed of the sell-out being questioned.

This is it. When i realised Id forgotten to login by 9.30 on the Friday, at 9.45, i was pretty chilled, so surprised that many tickets hsd all sold out. Sounds like I missed a trick by not continuing to try through the morning, but work pressures etc.
-
Why are some people surprised that we sold out?
Oh it's not that, just the speed and not even going down to members. This let's remember is three times our normal away following for league and european games and the fifth trip to London in 27 days!
Our away support ever since the first championship season is just mind bogglingly incredibly strong.
Was thinking back to our penultimate prem season in the 2010s and back in that era I could comfortably get tickets as a non season ticket holder for the secondary aways in desirability in those times e.g. West Ham and Everton away so shows how much has changed in just over a decade.
-
I suppose so. Also last seasons fiddling with the criteria I think has made some STHs a bit wary of potentially missing away FA Cup games moving forward. That and the fact we’re fucking brilliant all helps as well.
-
Have they sent out tickets out for the game,my lad waiting for his
-
I've not had anything. I assume it'll be after Palace.
-
Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa
Referee: Craig Pawson
Assistant Referees: Lee Betts & Matthew Wilkes
Fourth Official: Michael Salisbury
-
In the league game last season, Pawson allowed Spurs to kick the shit out of us for a good half-hour.
Hopefully he'll have his cards with him this time.
-
They might have a new manager by kick-off, I reckon.
-
Anybody know any good parking spots for Cheshunt station?
-
The station has a car park.

This was on my FB feed. I was at Bromsgrove and it was a tad tasty after the game. You could tell how Villa Bromsgrove was as we hate Kiddy but Kiddy chants went up when we heard they were beating sha. 32 smegging years ago!
It's FAC 3rd round related so i'm shoehorning it in here!

-
That must have been a choker not even getting a replay
-
More so as it wasn't a jammy lead, we outplayed them. Viv Anderson was their manager and described them as "the luckiest team in the world" to have won. A replay would have flattered them.
-
.
-
My late brother went to the Bromsgrove game and said how unlucky they were to lose to two such late goals.

Familiar scorer of the equaliser.
Andy Rammell from Nuneaton and played for Atherstone before Manchester United signed him.

It will be sha or Wolves and a stroll into the 5th round as we get closer to the treble.
-
I think we’ll get another premier league team
-
Birmingham at home please.
-
Birmingham at home please.
With a repeat of the Citeh v Exeter scoreline.
-
Anybody at home.
-
Wigan away.
-
Bet my house Man City get another piss easy home game - Macclesfield or Oxford
Got a feeling we’re getting Leicester away, and now that I live out this way I’m all for it
-
I don't sweat any team, anywhere in the draw.
I reckon that's the first time I've ever thought that as a Villa fan.
-
B…b..but …..Macclesfield.
They’ve beaten Crystal Palace.
-
Tomorrow about 6.40pm
-
Have a bad feeling it'll be away to Newcastle. Playing them at Sid Jameses both in the league and cup either side of the end of the month and getting fuck all as per.
-
I don’t want blose simply because if you think spurs are thugs! Have you seen their disciplinary record!
-
I want nothing to do with those tramps ever again. It’s an unnecessary distraction. Pretty much any team at Villa Park. I’d rather avoid Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool (assuming they win tomorrow). Also Brentford away sounds very tough right now.
-
We owe Brentford big time.
-
Birmingham at home please.
No thanks. Not ever.
-
Birmingham at home please.
No thanks. Not ever.
Yes. Never playing that lot ever again would be too soon.
-
Gerrard and Joe Cole are drawing the balls.
-
Guaranteed a good draw with those Villa legends doing it.
-
Guaranteed a good draw with those Villa legends doing it.
And even if we don't get a decent draw, there'll be some top banter.
-
The good thing if we did draw sha at VP is watching them convince themselves they can win, convince themselves there'll be 10k of them in the home ends, and then coming up with moral victories after we smash them like it's a Simod game.
-

I hope we never play them again. Ever!
-
Time to put the rags in their place.
-
They're already in their place, the second tier. Happy to never play the twats again.
-
Anyone anywhere.
-
Gerrard and Joe Cole are drawing the balls.
Gerrard spent most weeks dropping a ball at Villa so that should go well.
-
Playing them will make it all about them. We can’t win other than the inevitable victory. This isn’t the Manchester derby or North London where those teams have actually achieved something and matter. They don’t matter but they will do their best to make it sound through the media this is a massive game. In their heads it will be. In reality we will just want to get through it professionally. And until we do it will just be them making complete twats of themselves. The club, the owners, ex players and fans.
-
The same Joe Cole that “feared for Villa this season”. No nothing Twat that he is.
-
Albion away is my prediction for the 4th round
-
We're due another FA Cup tie against Port Vale. It might be away this time.
-
Gerrard and Joe Cole are drawing the balls.
Who's doing the shafts and the spurts?

Nah, it's better to get relatively winnable draws and hope the favourites slip up elsewhere along the way.

Arsenal vs Wigan

Easy draw for Arse.

Still got Blues, City or Newcastle.

No real stand out ties so far...

Have to go through all that inane shite to get Newcastle at home. Man City get their usual bye into the next round.

C115y with the possibility of playing the mighty Salford for the second season running.
Macc will be pleased with another Premier League team.
They may as well just put them and the weakest team to one side and then do the draw.
Mind you, no wonder they didn't want to cough up more money to the little guys, would bankrupt Abu Dhabi with the fucking draws they get
-
It might work out for us. The game is played over the weekend of 13th-15th Feb.
There's a fair chance that Newcastle will be in the CL playoffs. The first leg of that is played on the 17th-18th Feb.
So they may prioritise the CL.
Probably means that the game will be Friday night/Saturday rather than Sunday/Monday.
(And we can't fuck up a top 8 finish in the Europa, or we'll be in the same boat).
-
City get practically a bye, its so fixed!
Obviously not fixed but fuck me City are very jammy. They've took all the luck off the red side of Manchester. And obviously Arsenal get Wigan at home. Still we've got a home tie at least. Tough but winnable. Wonder how many tickets the Geordies will get?
-
Newcastle at home wouldn't have been my first choice, especially so close to the league game.
-
Citeh with an easy tie as well.
Arsenal a tough one at home to Wigan, Chelsea a tough one away to Hull. No draw fixing there with Lescott and Mcmanaman. Funny how Liverpool ball was first out.
-
Have a bad feeling it'll be away to Newcastle. Playing them at Sid Jameses both in the league and cup either side of the end of the month and getting fuck all as per.
Half right.
Should win, hopefully it's not a repeat of 2 years ago in the league when we let Schaar bully us as they ripped-up another of our fine home records under Unai.
-

We play Wednesday so very unlikely to be Friday. Saturday evening would be likely – and then Blues v Leeds could sit early Sunday.
Brentford play on the Thursday, so them at Macclesfield nailed on for one TV slot Sunday/Monday.
-
They probably get all the North Stand..approx 5K ?

Citeh with an easy tie as well.
Arsenal a tough one at home to Wigan, Chelsea a tough one away to Hull. No draw fixing there with Lescott and Mcmanaman. Funny how Liverpool ball was first out.

Up to 15% (around 6000) depending on Safety Advisory Group. I think away fans should be banned for this one to prevent the agony of us having to see all those bare bellied Geordies lol

We were on our arse with injuries at that point, we also had a cup replay and Conference games, they are this time.

Just a coincidence that the ball of the two teams playing tonight was drawn out first, I guess.

Nothing says Valentine's Day like Small Heath vs Leeds.

They have an extra day to recover the previous midweek.

Howe's struggled to manage the WSWS routine in the league phase of the Chumps thus far. They're looking at TSW whilst we've just got WS.
And the TV companies won't give a shiney shite about helping either us or Toon when they decide whixh TV slot to put us in.

beat them 8 0 last year and already had 10 1 against exeter and the 115 still not been sorting... corrupt fuckers

It does, look at the easy draw Starmer's Arsenal got.

To be honest I would fancy us against anyone at home.

Great draw, Villa Park under the lights hopefully.
-
That’s an annoying draw.
It's an annoying draw, but I think we'll beat them. They've a lot games to play in the next month.
-
Oof just seen Newcastle’s fixtures from this weekend for the next 6 weeks or so, I think they have aways at PSG, Liverpool, Citeh (twice), Villa and Spurs. Not forgetting they’ll have a CL Knockout tie in all field straight after our game.

Schar won't be doing any bullying this season.

One thing is for certain - they’ll be more worried about playing us than vice versa. We’ll beat them.
-
Boring draw isn't it.
-
Their fixture list looks horrific around the tie, forget they've got the two legged League Cup semi as well.

And if they end up in the UCL playoffs they’ll have the first leg the following midweek after the cup tie. Brutal scheduling.
-
Their fixture list looks horrific around the tie, forget they've got the two legged League Cup semi as well.
It really does. In the six weeks from the end of January to the middle of March they have:
Villa home and away
Liverpool away
PSG away
Spurs away
Chelsea away
Man City away
And home respite again Man Utd, Brentford and Everton
That's not pleasant for a squad as thin as theirs.
-
Do we know when the tv games are announced ?
I’m assuming we will be any time other than the Saturday 3pm ?

Feels a bit of a role reversal from when they came here and won a couple of seasons back at probably our lowest ebb of the season.
-
Hopefully. Let's see how the next few weeks pan out for each of us first though!
-
Knock them out, draw Arsenal in the last 16 knock them out, Man City last 8 and knock them out, Chelsea last 4 knock them out. Red scouse final, do a number on them.
Greatest FA Cup win ever.

More likely to lose to somebody dire in the final!
At least we're in Birmingham for about 5 weeks and the West Midlands in general with the Dingles away.

From memory from last year. I think it’s the Friday after the draw.

Given that Newcastle could be playing as early as Tuesday the following midweek, and they also play the previous Wednesday, I think our game should be on the Saturday.

Feels a lot like Saturday at 5pm on TV again.
-
That would make sense. I imagine that’s the “ first choice “ slot for all the tv companies viewers wise. Which we should get with an all premier tie.
-
Just about to say the same, we'll be 17:45 again, which should make for a good atmosphere.
-

I’d be happy with that, afternoon of ale and samosas, 5:45 KO and can still get a train home.

7 ties - Sheffield United (2 at home, 4 away, 1 at neutral venue) - 4 wins
7 ties - Wolverhampton Wanderers (4 at home, 2 away, 1 at neutral venue) - 4 wins

As I understand it BBC has rights to 2 live games and both must be on a Saturday. They'll probably go with something like Hull v Chelsea for the lunchtime (as Chelsea play the Tuesday prior) and us or Liverpool v Brighton for the evening game (given 3 of the 4 teams involved play Wednesday).
-
Assuming you mean seven matches rather than ties, or the numbers don't work. That allows for the drawn game under Gregory where we beat them after a replay.

We’ve drawn them 7 times. 6 of the 7 have been played, with 1 to follow in February. No replays are counted. The 2000 tie is counted with the original away tie. If replays did count, Doncaster would be well up the list with the 4 replays in the mid 1950s!

Ah okay, didn't read disclaimer at start went straight to the bold bit. Apologies. 🙂

All the TV stations lost their first choice of Manu and opponent so will now be scrambling. I can see Macc/Brentford being shown after the last match for one of them on BBC.

I agree the Beeb would want them again but the problem (if I'm right about the Saturday thing) is that Brentford play on the previous Thursday so wouldn't accept a Saturday game.
-
Given that Newcastle could be playing as early as Tuesday the following midweek, and they also play the previous Wednesday, I think our game should be on the Saturday.
Feels a lot like Saturday at 5pm on TV again.
Good for me, I’ll be on holiday so I can drop into a bar on my walk back from the beach.
-
Always good to get a bye.

They play the previous Tuesday (away to Spurs), we play on the Wensday.

Ah okay, either way, we should be playing on Saturday.

5.45 on the Sat.
Might be a lot of tricky conversations over plans for that night.....

PRAVDA says 5.45pm ko on Sat 14/02/2026

Selected by the beeb - 14/2 17:45 kickoff

Valentine’s Day massacre for Newcastle live on Tv.
-
A lovely valentine’s night out for those setting out on the love boat.
-
The game will be broadcast live on BBC One and TNT Sports 3, while also being available to stream live across discovery+ and the BBC iPlayer.

I would love it if we beat them! Love it!

We play Wednesday so very unlikely to be Friday. Saturday evening would be likely – and then Blues v Leeds could sit early Sunday.
Brentford play on the Thursday, so them at Macclesfield nailed on for one TV slot Sunday/Monday.
Remarkably, every now and again, the FA follow logic to its best conclusion.
Us Saturday 1745
Blues Sunday 1200

Lots of Leeds fans fancying a Saturday night out in Brum?

Doesn't matter as no chance any Villa fan would dare be in town.

My concern was that Birmingham might not have enough hotel rooms to cope with it.

25 notes for this one according to the OS.
Newcastle have the North Upper.

Not a bad price, fair play.

Won't they chuck pints of piss at Villans in the south-North ?
-
Thought that too. Wasn't it after Albion chucking seats down that we abandoned the practice
