When: 6 November 2025 Kick off 20:00
Where: Villa Park, Aston.
So here we go and welcome Maccabi Tel-Aviv to Villa Park. Let's hope the night is all about football. MTA are currently second in the IPL and so far unbeaten after 8 games with a huge goal difference. However I am not sure where the rank in the bigger world of football.

The frustration of Saturday is now replaced by the frustration of Thursday, while the former related to our performance on the pitch the latter is all about matters off it. It threatened to be worse but there is still an uneasy air, which will hopefully transpire as nothing to worry about.
A win is needed after the Eagles nonsense and perhaps a goal for Watkins in a game that will hopefully pass by with little incident both on and off the field.

Actually, it'd be good if this thread could just be about the actual game. There's loads of other places (like 'X') to talk about the things surrounding it that have jack shit to do with the Villa. And yes, a first post about this (whatever this is) is odd.

With the last Europa game still fresh in teh memory, I think I'd go as strong as poss from the start and try and get this one sorted.

Think we need to give Lindelof a go at LCB with Mings out. Torres gets injured and we have a real problem in that position. Maybe even put in Konsa next to him.
RB is a big problem, if Cash got injured we are in big trouble. But I'd start him, give him 60 mins or so and hopefully the result is in the bag by then.
Very attacking team Id go for, similar to Burnley.

Stick McGinn in the middle I think. He's played very well in the Euro games so far. Bogarde/Onana were a horrible combo under pressure v those eagles.

Their value on transfer market is less than the go ahead and beat us again eagles team , so I would imagine 3 - 0 by 60 minutes but I said that about GAE . Go strong and then bring the likes of Broggio etc for the last 30 mins .

Thanks for the reply. I’ve had to do that for most games but it wasn’t working. Phoned the ticket office who were really good and they’ve sorted it now.

So I hope Villa are three up at halftime and VP's network allows for smooth streaming of the show on your phone (provided you've paid your TV license) so you can become disengaged with what happens on the pitch after 9pm.
