Signing on a free according to Fab. https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1927439305611325852
He's an 18 year old striker from Feyenoord who's made 9 appearances for them, and scored twice. His first name is inspired by the nickname of the character Zé Pequeno from the 2002 Brazilian gangster film City of God. Welcome Zé!
-
Has he got pace?
-
Yay, I like wingers.
-
Has he got pace?
He's probably not as quick as BV when it comes to starting threads.
-
Any relation to Phil Redmond of Grange Hill and Brookside legend?
-
"AVFC's agreement for Zepiqueno Redmond was all but done last week.
Villa keen to identify young talent, with Monchi, Vidagany & head of emerging talent & loans Adam Henshall at the centre of the deal. Set to join start of July." J.Tanswell.

I didn't want TV to jinx another transfer (especially one for a player named after a Brazilian).
-
I like hoovering up young talent. If they flop so be it but every now and again we will find 20-50 million quid player for peanuts.
I can see him being here and not loaned out next season if he has a good pre season
-

We need to nickname him Zammo.
-
Out on loan to Wrexham by the end of the summer.

The one I jinxed I should be eternally thanked for.

All we need now is a Roland…
-
Zépiqueno as a name is inspired by the nickname of a Brazilian drug trafficker.

Zeppo, surely?
Hoping he makes a Marx!!

Holte Enders getting around PSR restrictions🎼

Welcome Zepiqueno - we look forward to selling you in 2 years time!
-
Good start to the summer. Keep ‘em coming Villa!
-

If he's got any chance of scoring a few in the first team, for PSR reasons we'll see him early next season. Scores 4-5 next season and looks anything near decent, he's £30m profit next summer

Zammo nickname might work then .
Just say no .
-
Redmond...does he identify as a cis Irish male? Might be one of the Redmonds from Wexford.
-
Zepiqueno "Redser" Redmond, of the Boolavogue Redmonds.
-
Let's not put too much pressure on the new Jhon Duran.
-
Seems to fit the bill from the obligatory youtube marketing videos. He's already got the Cash U-turn mastered (see 32s of first video). Comfortable recieving the ball in tight spaces, can turn and has a decent turn of pace. A second Rogers would be nice, wouldn't it?

Awesome. I shall have a look. I love Berlin and Bowie, so sounds great.
-
Let's hope he is another Duran.
-
assume he will go straight out on loan somewhere
-
Let's hope he is another Duran.
Duran Duran? I think we can all only cope with one of those.

His name's from Rio, and we'll watch him from the stands....

Prefer it when him and Iggy (and Klaus) were evil.

I wanted to see where Bowie was living off milk and peppers and thought witches were trying to steal his semen. I think that was pre-Berlin Station to Station, though.

That other one is Gary Numan surely?

Yes, this was in LA when making The Man Who Fell To Earth and Station To Station. He also refrigerated his wee and hoovered-up cocaine at this time.
-

Nope. Klaus Nomi

Got this today, along with Starman. 8)

Good lad, enjoy!

Was going to ask the same looks fab. I dare not research if there is similar stuff on Lou Reed, I couldn’t afford it atm!
-
Completed his medical according to Sky Sports.
-
Has this bloke signed now? Longest medical in history.
-
He's just scored a good well taken goal against England.
-
How much does his price go up now?
-
scored twice
-

Stays free on the advice of The Clash.
-
Great assist from Young for one of England’s goals too I think.
-
Our new wunderkind signing from Feyenoord scored the 2nd goal for the Dutch
A move from one end of the pitch to the other as Netherlands easily play the ball through England.
Quick passing in the middle allowed Zepiqueno Redmond to find space out wide who then walked the ball into the box and slotted it into the bottom right corner.
He then got their 4th.
Ball played into him on the corner of the 6yd box. Turned the England centre half like he was frozen stiff and struck it left footed across the keeper into the far corner.
Kadan Young had a eventful 2nd half.
Went down the wing beat 2 men, great cutback to the centre forward who spun his marker and put it past the keeper for England’s 1st goal.
A few minutes later he went for a 50/50 in the box and went flying on the challenge, at first it looked as if the ref had given a pen, but somehow he saw it as a foul by Young.
Then Young was fouled as he went into the box, went down a bit too slowly and obviously; and the numpty re (who's Irish) gave a free kick to the Dutch and booked Young for diving, completely ignoring the fact that the Dutch defender had pretty well wrestled him to the ground.
Later on Young waltzed into the box, squared the ball to our centre half who ballet shoed it goalwards with such force that your Granny could have saved it
All in all, an eventful game for our lads.
-
Someone mentioned we need to find the next Williams/Eze/etc. I think today suggests we've got 2 players who might become exactly that.

TBF, the player had let go and then Young went down a second later so I can understand the decision being a dive. If he had gone down under the initial contact then it might have been more interesting.
-
I’m excited by this player. I reckon he will be close to a starter at some point next season.

Correctamundo Somni - that's why I said that Zeppo " ... had been pretty well ..." and not that he was pulled down. Fully agree that if he'd gone down straight away, it might well have been a free-kick/pen. A little too honest/naive perhaps?
Something for him to learn?
-
Have we signed him yet?

I disagree, I think he will be total garbage like Morgan and Jhon.

He has to sign first.

Hurrah.
-
Really happy with this one, he's probably got a year or so before he'll be pushing for the first team but I really like the look of him from the U19s.
-
I really like the look of this kid, could be a more manageable Duran in the long term.
-

-
He looked very good in the U19s for the Netherlands.
With a full season of training by Messrs Shan and Emery he could be our new Duran (kerrrching) or Ollie.
I'd prefer it if he becomes the new Ollie.
PSR might dictate otherwise.
-
Unlike clubs like Liverpool, spending millions on known players, we have gone straight for the jugular with this amazing signing. Do we really need to bother signing anyone else?
-
Looks a big strong lad - lets hope he has some pace also.
Nice little Dutch contingent with Maatsen and Malen i'm sure he will fit in very nicely
-
One the FFP savings account.
-
And talking of Jhon Duran - formerly of this parish:
Jhon Duran is flying from Colombia to Turkey to complete a loan move from Al Nassr to Fenerbahce.
Duran only joined Al Nassr from Aston Villa in a deal worth €77million (£65m; $91m) plus add-ons in January, signing a five-and-a-half-year contract through to 2030. The 22-year-old scored 12 goals in 18 appearances for the Saudi Pro League club, who finished third in 2024-25 — 13 points off champions Al Ittihad.
Wonder where we stand re the add-ons?
-
I'm guessing there was no clause of "more money to Villa if he gives up after six months and runs away to Turkey".
-
They made the semis of the Asian Champions League and finished third in the league, securing qualification for Asian Champions League Two (effectively the Asian version of the Europa League). He scored eight goals in thirteen league games and four in five Champions League matches.
Might be a bit of cash in that, I suppose, but can't imagine it would be enough to entice the majority of the PSG first team squad.
-
Welcome.
-
Good riddance - again (Jhon, not Paul or Zep).

Double post - apologies.
-
I take this lad will be in the U21 squad as there’s been no sign of him pre-season?
-
u19 maybe but he has also carried a knock apparently which meant he didn't travel to the US.

Ah that explains it

Druan - Out on loan to the dumping ground of European football - what an idiot.
