Thursday.... so the rumour about Sunday seems right.
-
No wonder Emi was in tears. The last time we will see that beautiful kit. :-[
-
We're still in May. We're going to know one of the kits for next season. This is weird, yet shows we're getting something right for once. I wonder what the on-sale dates will be...

bloody hell a kit out early , who needs the FA Cup ??
-
Risky strategy of wearing new kit Sunday. Either will have long association with triumph or memories of near miss heartbreak
-
I reckon every away win we've ever had at Old Trafford was in a white top (unless we were allowed to play in claret and blue or had to change to something else because of a clash). Certainly, the last three were.
-
Pretty sure I was wearing a white away top last time we won there, too. Which proves it, in my mind.
-
New kit being shown on Thursday, but on sale 24th September (subject to stock)
-

Pretty much the reason I decline to get this season's white away kit after the Wembley capitulation.
-
September 24th, that's more like it! Worried for a second there that the club were actually going to sell T-shirts while it's still warm enough to wear T-shirts and was concerned that I may have tumbled into some sort of "zone" that one might associate with the soft glowing light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon. Can't think of an apt name for it.

Going to look silly if we've got players in the new kit promo and they're not here in a few weeks.

Leak? Not sure it’s legit or not

My God that looks boring - more like a training top

Can't be real as I don't see a dragon.

Exactly my thoughts
-
My God that looks boring - more like a training top
Yeah, not keen on that if it's legit. I'd like a purple away/third kit. Similar to Fulham's one this year but all dark purple with white detailing.
-
Goalie kit?
-
I wondered whether Betano might be one of the brands to be implicated in the IoM front company losing its license. It isn't, but the one we had last year seems to be.
I also saw a couple of dimwits on Twitter laying out their "dream" sponsor once the betting jig is up. I can't tell you what they were because I was forced to set fire to a few continents at the thought such people exist.
Anyway, Buckfast or Nurofen for me.
-
The blue trim looks alright. Need to see what colour the shorts and socks are before forming an opinion.
-
Not a patch on this season's beauties.
The badge would look better full colour on there.
Also, what's with having the same badge on two season's kits? Amateurs.
-
Do we get the trefoil logo on the third kit?
-
Do we get the trefoil logo on the third kit?
Apparently as an Adidas elite team, yes we are. Add long sleeves & for once they can take my money.
-
Good to see total meltdown on social media about this shirt.
Wouldn’t be a kit launch without a meltdown!
-
Imagine the third kit with the trefoil logo and the 70/80s Villa badge.
-
Add shorts and socks in the same blue as the trim and I reckon that'll look really good. On its own it's a bit plain.
I'd be surprised if it isn't legit though, matches the teaser from yesterday and the rumours. It's also exactly the sort of photo you get from someone who's been working on stocking shelves at the store/launch event and they've got a sneaky phone pic.

I did see an Adidas pre-announcement saying it would be black and light blue. Haven't been able to find it again though.

Aston Villa and adidas are delighted to unveil the club’s new 2025/26 season away kit.
Predominantly black, the design on the raglan shoulders is inspired by the Bullring, one of the iconic landmarks on the skyline of Birmingham and where a brand-new Aston Villa store opens today.
Available in Authentic and Replica styles, both fans and players will wear the fabric of our city in this bold design.
Built for fast-paced football, the adidas authentic jersey has a slim fit and lightweight fabric, garnished with a ‘Villans’ sign-off on the back neck and a heat-applied club badge on the chest.
The new shirt will be worn for the first time in our final match of the 2024/25 season at Manchester United on Sunday, May 25.
Chris Heck, President of Business at Aston Villa, said: “Our 25/26 away kit launch is a continuation of our exciting partnership with adidas. We wanted this to be a representation of our iconic home city, where a lot of our fans away-day journeys start and end. This partnership keeps going from strength to strength and we look forward to seeing this fantastic kit on the pitch this weekend.”
adidas, said: “With Aston Villa’s away kit, we wanted to create something that goes beyond performance – a jersey that captures the bold, modern spirit of Birmingham. The Bullring’s architecture served as the perfect inspiration to tell the story of innovation and pride that run through the city and its football club. It’s a design that speaks to the future while staying true to Aston Villa’s identity and we can’t wait to see the players and fans wear it with pride next season .”
The range is on sale now across our Bullring, Villa Park and online stores as well as via JD and adidas. Some items, including Authentic shirts and Women’s styles will be available at a later date.

-
That looks a lot better.
Still very simple but clean.
-
Decent away top that.
-
Yeah quite like that, plain and simple.
-
It's pretty horrible. Grey is rubbish. Like the dragon one better.
-
That’s really nice.
One thought though, will we see the third kit used more as it’s not quite so distinct from claret as white?
-
That's quite nice! What is this on sale already malarkey? It'll never catch on!!
-
Need to see it in person, but not sold on it personally. Still looks like hacked together training top, to get something out for the shop opening to me. I think they should have made all the transfers match the light blue colour on the stripes.
Guessing that means the third kit with the trefoil logo is destined to be white with claret trim. That thing is gonna fly off the shelves! 🙏🏻
-
Genuinely baffled that so many people like a horrible grey kit. Do you go outside and celebrate when the weather is shit?
-

Grey!?
-
I like it.
-
So that's the training top, when does the away kit get released?
-
Hopefully it comes with CL badges
-
Love it, plain and simple and the colour suits my general mood to a tee!
-
Does anyone know if the season ticket discount is valid in the new Bullring store?
-

More good news, the sunny spell is due to end and the forecast is rain tomorrow. :)
-

I thought the same about the transfers, think it would have looked better if they were all light blue. I'd also have preferred it if the shirt were all-grey (or all-black). I won't be buying it, but we've had a lot of white away kits recently, and no one can say it looks like a Chelsea shirt.
-
There's an all red one behind the black...training/third or GK possibly as the dummy is holding the ball. All yellow too in the kids section. Yellow long sleeve in first pic, probably GK.

-
It was always going to be black, last season it was last minute deal so we got Man Utds previous seasons 3rd kit design.
This season is the real Heck effect just like everything that's been decorated under his charge Black, just like the tunnel, coach and all the hospitality bars.
-
Are the stripes blue on the shorts? Looks like no stripes on the site pics and I didnt like them, thought they needed more blue trim.

For sale at the Bullring.

-
Keepers I reckon. Do keepers wear change kits different to the outfielders if for example, we wore the black kit at Liverpool but he has to wear the home / 3rd kit top?
Edit: Other pictures added since initial reply. Maybe we have red/yellow away tops for keepers for that eventuality. Or one is home keepers.

That shoulder design really screams "Bullring" to me.
-

Yes, but with a white logo and crest. The shorts look quite nice as a standalone item.
-
That shoulder design really screams "Bullring" to me.
I'm seeing a subtle but unmistakable nod to Asda Minworh on some of the piping.
-
Feels like years since we actually played a last game in next years kit…see others do it all the time.
Probably isn’t years just seems it to me :-)
-
Looks decent, I like the black and blue scheme The nod to the bullring with the discs on the sleeve and body is all a bit odd but the pattern looks decent on it. Hats off for them actually getting something out and on the shelves before September.
-

It's a nod to how our opponents will be beaten next season.
-
Feels like years since we actually played a last game in next years kit…see others do it all the time.
I'm not a fan of it. Unveiling the new kit shortly after the season ends is fine by me.
-
I think it looks good. But then I can only see with one eye.
-
I would much prefer any Villa kit (other than the one off 150 year one) to have at least some claret / blue combination on it.
A plain kit like this , especially as our main change kit has no resemblance to Villa at all - this should of been the 3rd kit like last years Blue effort
Its a no from me
-
That’s really nice.
One thought though, will we see the third kit used more as it’s not quite so distinct from claret as white?
That would be my assumption.
-
It’s nicer than it looks in the pics. But it’s not a nice or as high quality as this season’s home or away. It feels like the 150 top, the slippery cheaper feeling material.
Also, they gave me two larges instead of a large and a medium. >:(
-
I popped down to the new club shop early doors before I went to the office. Like Muskahound said, the quality does seem different and it's an extra fiver. It is nice though.
-
I am disappointed in the shop, really.
I was number 139 in the queue and didn’t get a goodie bag, for starters!
But, in all honesty, it’s an adidas shop with a Villa alcove in it. Calling it a Villa shop is like saying WH Smiths is a Costa cos it has a self-service machine in it.
Still happy it’s there, though, and it will be convenient to have a shop in the centre again.
-

Might have seen you there, but I always imagine you as Clamps from Futurama, so wouldn’t have recognised you. :P
-
Haha, I got there around 8.05ish and waited in a queue for a bit. There were too many in there to have a decent look round so I'll pop back at some point. Not a muskahound in sight mind.
-
I reached the front if the queue at 8:18, so you obviously missed me slicing up that apple in the air with my rapier.
-
Id have liked a claret stripe on the left and blue on the right liek arse did with the green and red but I am odd . :)

Chris Heck wouldn't have wanted to, hard to know with the new fella.
-
Saw it JD Sports this afternoon…it’s ok but not for £85. Would have been tempted and would have looked better if the detail was deep claret rather than light blue.
-
Anyone know if you can use your ST discount in the bullring store?

3rd kit? Seen on a dodgy replica site
I really hope not, unless we're planning to invade Lapland.
-
I quite like weird patterns on kits, but not if it's just white and grey.
-
I don’t mind it. Reminds of one of our Kappa aways.
I think the retro adidas badge is wasted and pointless on that, though. It should be on a retro-style shirt.
-
Agreed, simple white shirt, claret collar and claret stripes on the sleeves with the trefoil would be perfect.
-

I bought a couple of those, lovely shirt.
-
I do remember something about there being a kit that pays tribute to the stained glass or something like that. I guess it looks like stained glass?
-
The grey kit really emphasises how piss poor the drop shadow is on the new badge. It looks like a distorted mess or seeing double…either way it was a proper crap design decision .
-
New away officially fucking cursed.
Can’t believe I wore it. >:(
-
New away officially fucking cursed.
Can’t believe I wore it. >:(
Certainly not the most auspicious start for it.
-
I blame launching the away kit early. Had we work out current away and launched the new one in September as we normally do (joke…) we’d have won.
-
Why release a kit against Man Utd? What a stupid idea that was.
-
I always want them to wear a new kit last game, but only if it's a last day piss up when nobody really cares, not a cataclysmic match against the forces of evil that could make or break our next decade.
The kit needs to apologise for that performance, and refund the travelling supporters.
-

Wearing the new kit wasn't the problem, allowing Dogtanian to buy it before the game was the problem.
-
They wore the wrong socks. With the proper dark socks the kit will be fine.

No dragon tho :(
-
Could have been great. Too much going on on the collar and sleeve cuffs and they also don't match. Cuffs are the wrong place to have the Holte trim.
4/10 this seasons is better.
-
Looks great
-
Hopefully without the yellow lines.

It's never bothered me when the collar and cuffs don't match. It's fine, not as nice as this season's shirt but it was always unlikely to be.

Yellow piping is always a bit iffy. Don't like the neck. Is it definitely the same sexy shade of claret as this season's? As that was bang-on.
-
Yep, nice claret, hope it’s as dark as this season. I agree, no need for the yellow piping.
-
Crap.

I like the yellow but feel it should be in the neck too, or something to break up the claret. Might change my mind when I see it on.

I like the touch of yellow.

In comparison to some of the shit shirts that have been served up, this and last seasons are ok.

I think they have missed a trick by not having the trousers/shorts sold with the piping the same green OR pink as the tops. They only show a match to the Pink on that page.

I wouldn't mind it for a change in 4 or 5 years' time (assuming we're still with Adidas). It may not be to everyone's taste.
-
This is precisely why they get professionals to do it.
-
When you look at the variety of kits a massive team like Barcelona has had over the years, all manner of designs, the same old same old can get a bit predictable or boring. Or that we shouldn’t be afraid of change. It’s not like haven’t had stripes in our past. Because if we don’t show some creativity now and again we will become Arsenal where every single new home it is a slight variation on exactly the same design.
-
This is precisely why they get professionals to do it.
Some of the “professionals” who have designed some of our kits over the years, at great expense to the club, should be fired from their jobs and never allowed to design football kits again.

This is precisely why they get professionals to do it.
Some of the “professionals” who have designed some of our kits over the years, at great expense to the club, should be fired from their jobs and never allowed to design football kits again.
I agree, that striped abomination at the turn of the century and the Luke one for starters.
-
I'm all for mixing the kit up a bit, something like 1 in 4 home kits we do something other than claret body with blue sleeves would be my target. However, that stripy one TV linked is fucking awful.
For the main away kit every other one would be mostly white with a yellow one here and there, the 3rd kit can be almost anything they can imagine, that's the one where they should be doing some weird shit that might turn into a classic for a small set of fans (a bit like the black, red and green one from the 90s).

The black, red and green one was the actual away kit from the 93/94 and 94/95 seasons. (Wish we had 2 season cycles now)!
My first Villa shirt was the equivalent home kit special edition from the 94 cup final. It was "different" in that it had stripes.

I know, 3rd kits weren't really a thing then, but now that they're common place I think they're a better 'spot' for the bolder ideas. The home and away from 93/94 were my 2nd and 3rd kits after having a a hummel 89/90 one as my first.

Arsenal are quite right. It's not being afraid of change, it's respecting our club's traditions. Stripes on a home strip is repulsive.

Ive always liked the ‘classic’ look of the Arsenal top. Get a collar on our home kit now and again, about as radical as I get with the home kit.

Yes, before our traditions had been established. We play in claret shirts with blue sleeves.

A mock up. But I’d certainly buy that.

Don't mid it. Reminds me of the Trabzonspor kit.

I know, but I still don’t like them.
They look better than Everton’s awful Goodison pattern they had, but I think it looks weird just that bit in one place.
-
That's a lovely home kit.
-
So nearly perfect. The badge and sponsor let it down
-
The badge is ok. It's just too big for my liking. Last year of the sponsor, what is a big brand and pays us a lot of money.
-
I quite like it.

It's a bit fussy, but pretty nice. White stripes look a bit odd.
-
The coca cola mockup looks much better in my opinion. Not a fan of this one
-
That’s an instant buy for me.
-
Why does the scrolly bit on the cuffs look like it is from an old 8-bit video game ?
-
I like it. The picture of the that appeared a few weeks ago didn't have the yellow/gold bit at the neck, or I didn't see it. I thought it needed some in or around the collar to break it up. I think it'll look good on. Interesting to see if the mosaic appears in the shorts/socks, or if it'll be standard white.

I think the yellow bit on the collar is the coat hanger.

looks a bit Argentina meets Burnley . And the cuff bit is a bit lame .

Not sure I like the white stripes, I'd have preferred claret.

Crap. A mess.

The more i look at it the worse it gets . Car crash

I crave a claret shirt with blue sleeves like most of us but fuck me are Adidas kits boring templates or what. A lazy retread of last seasons.

I actually like the boring look. I’d rather we stayed clear of yellow piping, fussy patterns and other stuff going on. Last years was pretty much as perfect as it gets. The Nike kit from 2009-10 was ace, if it was the same shade of claret as last years that again would have been perfect.
-
I like it well enough
-
Disappointing if that’s the design.
-
Fuck that shit badge off, change the white stripes to claret, then it’s ok.
-
Yep, just needs to change the colour, change the stripes, total rethink on the neck, and then remove the piping, adjust the sleeve shape, and put a lot more work into the cut, and it’s just about there.
-
it is a grower 🤔
-
I’ve always said that.

get Roper back asap .

I didn’t see this myself , but it’s on Twitter stating it was leaked on the adidas site before being taken down. The warm up top, which is reversible.

Be better if the stripes on the sleeve were claret (or, better still, blue) but more than happy with that.
-
Should we read with confidence that due to the latest marketing images with Mings, Ramsay, Watkins and now Rogers being front and centre the media trying to sell off our players to the vultures is premature?
-
No.
-
No, I'd never read into any of that. No one can know if someone will offer daft money for Rogers, for instance, at any point.
-
And if marketing teams were told transfer secrets there would be no transfer secrets.

I agree, that’s a lovely top. Proper Villa, as some would say.
But I have to disagree, regarding the Luke top.
For me it symbolises the club’s turnaround.
As well as being a thing of beauty 😉
In my defence my first kit was the 1970 Docherty top. My Dad hated it and loved when Vic Crowe changed it back
-
There's a nice pattern/texture on it too, and on the collar. I'm back to liking it again!
-
They are getting the claret bang on.

Wise words, nigel.

I love the Luke tops and seeing what they go for on ebay I think a lot of other people do too.
-
I do think the white shoulder stripes are wrong. There’s four colours on that thing.
The stripes had to be claret, or the same colour as the piping and the cuff motif.

Claret would be better, but the shirt's very similar to this year's as it is. I like the cuffs.
It's a good claretty claret. Whatever else they fanny around with I hope that would be ring fenced. The blue is (still) a bit pale for my exacting tastes but I suppose it has to match the badge?
But still, take my money Villa! (maybe, much later, when it's cheap, and we've won summat)

Yup, the claret on both shirts is spot on.

Yep, when they get the claret as right as they have, that's a huge starting point for a good kit. I quite like it now I've seen this image and not the other image which looked a bit wishy washy.

Well we are meant to wear sky blue. The blue was getting darker and darker since the 80s and is far too dark on the 150th anniversary painting they commissioned.

Mine is too big for me and I wish I’d ordered a size lower but there’s no stock left so I’ll hold on to this one and wear it baggy!

Cheers, I'm normally a Medium in Adidas t-shirts as I find the Large too baggy. The home shirt in Large was a perfect fit though. Looks like I'll stick with Medium for this one.

from a distance it wil look claret and blue ( sleeves ) especially on TV . Id prefer claret stripes of course but those cuffs are dreadful.

Yea that’s the one I bought too. I should have just ordered the correct size rather than trying to be clever. Still will be good to wear in flights etc.
-
Went down the shop today and as good as it looks, a Villa fan with money to spend shouldn’t be leaving empty handed. Tried on the new tshirt…good fit but just can’t bring myself to wear anything with that massive crap shield. I couldn’t find any casual wear that I’d wear, and there weren’t any claret shorts or swimwear that I could wear for my holiday. They really should have a better range available in the shop to suit all tastes and occasions, but they still don’t.
-
This is precisely why they get professionals to do it.
Exactly, pay the professionals to design a home shirt that is 99.9999999% the same as the one it's replacing and under no circumstances pay a professional to actually design something different because that'd be a complete was of money, keep spending money on people who only know how to use the copy and paste buttons on their design software

It looks like a Telford Schools shirt, circa 1991 (alumnus: Ealing, S. Shirt no. 8. Doesn’t talk about it.)
I could be talked into it.

It intrigues me how and why people make kit mock-ups. Are they hoping for a job in the kit manufacturing industry, is it a hobby? Who are these people? Haven’t we got our own on this site? I can’t remember seeing their posts lately of their mock-ups.

I think the two posts below yours explain exactly why I enjoy seeing people design their own kits and share them online. Everyone has an opinion and everybody loves to moan and criticise the official versions, but then we see what people think are better options and we realise the people in charge are making correct choices.

Has anyone else noticed those authenticity-lending Adidas tags have last years price on? It says £80, which was the price of last year’s tops, when this years away is £85.
-
I quite like the idea of folk posting their own design ideas. Rather than just moan about the latest kit (like I do) it gives us alternatives to look at and inspires debate.
-
Just got back from Fuertaventura and saw several people wearing that kit. Is it the new kit or is it from a knock off site?

My daughter has bought me the Black 150th anniversary shirt. It really is a thing of beauty. Quite possibly the greatest football shirt of all time. I just need to shift a stone on my midriff as she’s got the slim fit!
Now that’s a bit of motivation I need to do start exercising again.
-
black is slimming though , so it is a start 💪😊
-
Side on, I’d argue it isn’t! 🤣
-
I said to one bloke "Up the Villa!" He just stared at me like I was talking gibberish.
I still get a bit giddy if I see a Villa shirt out and about down here, and try to always acknowledge it with an UTV. I'd say it's about a 50/50 positive response rate.
Which is all the encouragement I need, sadly.
-
Yeah im not a fan of that home one. I prefer the claret stripes to the white ones but i guess has to look different to this seasons home

I’d have a sore throat if I offered an ‘up the Villa’ to everyone I see on Chelmsley in a Villa shirt. Asda yesterday afternoon resembled Aston Tesco’s on a matchday there were so many. It’s lovely to see.
-
I’ve been in Canada for almost two weeks now and seen less than half a dozen PL tops in the whole time.
A couple of Arsenal shirts in Vancouver, a child in a Man City shirt in Jasper, and a fine, exemplary human being in, of all things, a Villa 150th anniversary shirt in Banff this morning.
-
I regularly get an "Up the Villa" from people down here including on Saturday when I was wearing the Blue 1996 shirt.
-
A few years ago during COVID I went to receive the vaccination , the location was in a large hall in the CityWest Hotel in Dublin.
After receiving the jab I was sitting in the holding area for the mandatory fifteen minutes waiting time, (to ensure there were no adverse effects).
As i was sat waiting i spotted a guy wearing a Villa shirt stand up to leave and noticed he also had on a Villa hat. As he walked past the area of seats i was in, i shouted a hearty "Up the Villa".
All the people around me looked up from their phones and looked at me as if i was going mad and perhaps suffering an adverse reaction to the jab resulting in an outbreak of Tourettes.
Unfortunately the guy in the Villa shirt seemed to be the only person that didn't hear me and carried on walking towards the exit door, without even acknowledging me or looking around.
I then had to spend another five minutes sitting there feeling uncomfortable until I was able to leave.
It hasn't put me off though, I still give anyone wearing a Villa shirt a good Up the Villa shout.

I went to Blackpool the other weekend for a funeral with my lad and we was saying in the velvet coaster pub , we saw more Villa shirts than any other team including both the Mancs and p'ool walking round and I got a few UTv from non football shirts too , saw one palace, one wolves and one albion . On the downside my gearbox went.

With the club's various price rises, going to Blackpool on holiday is all Villa fans can afford these days.

The Villa shop in the bullring is a bit of a let down... While it was packed with Sabbath fans filling their baskets (which was great to see) its Villa range is pretty limited and more of an Adidas shop with a Villa section, rather than a stand-alone Villa store.

The Villa shop in the bullring is a bit of a let down... While it was packed with Sabbath fans filling their baskets (which was great to see) its Villa range is pretty limited and more of an Adidas shop with a Villa section, rather than a stand-alone Villa store.
Not been, but aren't we between kits at the moment so possibly not the best time to judge.
My hope is the shop links in with gigs at the Warehouse too. Touring bands can do signings/sell merch in the city centre, hopefully making a wedge of cash and raising the profile of the warehouse/club in the meantime. For the stadium gigs there should be limited edition official adidas gear.

I'm not keen on the new light green and salmon pink training gear. Not good for those of us with a fair complexion.

I have the salmon pink zip long sleeve drill top. With the help from my wife it was a gift from my 7 year old for fathers day. I love it personally.

Any hints or news on when the new home kit is out, given school holidays start over the next week....
Given we haven't changed sponsors or kit makers and seemed to be quick on the away kit release, I was expecting the home to be out relatively early.
Will be a dh gate job for the kids if they're not out til august/september

Purveyors of dodgy kits....suppose what I meant to say is I am not spending 200 quid on proper kits for the kids if they ent available until the end of the summer hols; will make do with £15/20 kits instead if the peak summer is missed.
Kids too young to realise the difference anyway

Home kit launch is tomorrow, July 15th.

Football kits are made of cheap tat anyway so DHGate is your friend.

The 2025/26 Aston Villa home kit goes on sale 9am Thursday, July 17. Fans can shop online at shop.avfc.co.uk and www.adidas.co.uk/football-jerseys, or visit official club stores at Villa Park and the Bullring in Birmingham, as well as selected adidas retail locations.
-
Conspiracy alert!
On Instagram there are pictures of players wearing the kit. The goalkeeper kit is just hanging up on a hanger
-
Would be better if the stripes on the arm were claret (or, better still, blue) but it's a Villa kit. Happy enough with that. Our Rachel doesn't look thrilled by it, though.
-
Those things on the end of the sleeves, the tiles pattern. Not good.
-
so the leaks were legitimate. Kit looks fine, I’ll buy one.
-

Agree, not everything has to be a "nod" to something.

It's absolutely fine, looks nicer in the official photos than in the leaked pics.

Yeah, fine by me.
-
There's only one picture where someone is standing up and you can see the whole kit, but it looks alright. I like that the gold/yellow is on the shorts too, and on the socks.
-
I'd need to see them side by side to tell the difference from this years.
-
I'm sickened by your servility, you dogs. It's an insult, a calumny, an assault on all that is good and just.
It's alright.
-
Not as exciting as last and a bit busy on the sleeves . On another note , i like the yellow keeper top . Something like that for an away strip next season with Claret and blue stripes please . i am sure i will get castigated but i dont care 😃

I like it, the trim of the sleeves reminds me of the mosaic work on the old Trinity Road stand which is a great reference.

I fucking hate sliders.
-
It looks fine - but it feels a bit meh, after the amazing launch last year. All feels a bit austrity at the moment.
-
We've made the Adidas stripes a different colour. Cough up another £85 you plebs.
-
The sleeve cuff mosaic feels a little forced .
-
I think it's shit. Would have been OK without the sleeve cuffs.
3/10.

i see what you mean - but I also reckon thats the first time that sentance has been used in human history

What do I know . End of the day if the team win games consistently the kit will be great .
Ironically one of the most valued kits is the Henson affair when we were in the absolute gutter .

Is that more to do with the scarcity of them? As we were rubbish, getting gates of 10,000 and no-one was buying any Villa gear, except 9 year old me!

Same here, I'm near breathless at the thought of being able to purchase a Villa shirt that I can wear in the Autumn/Winter.

The mosaic swirls are currently being added to the Holte steps. Trying to add a photo but it’s having a funny turn

Nice touch
-
Long sleeves you say?!
I wasn't going to buy a shirt, but that would change my mind.
-
Our shirt always looks better with long sleeves. It’s how a claret body with sky blue sleeves was meant to look.
In the 80/81 Championship year the players with the long sleeves always look the best!
-
When do we ditch that horrible Betano from our shirts?
-
I think the Premier League are committed to no gambling advertising from the start of next season so this is their last campaign, unless we get relegated...
-
The long sleeve version doesn't have the gold swirls on the cuffs.

Long sleeves surely aren't required anymore now we have global boiling . Wild fires etc.
I did always prefer a long sleeve as a kid , felt like better value for money .
-
I love a long-sleeved shirt, the last home shirt I bought (before last season) was the 2002-03 Rover kit.
BUT I have some initial doubts about this one.
- The inside half of the sleeve appears to be claret, rather than being light blue all the way around.
- I don't think the white stripes work as well as on the normal version, especially leading down to the thick all-claret cuff.
- The break for the sleeve sponsor is unavoidable, but there then appears to be a visible seam as if the rest of the sleeve was stuck on.
In fairness, the gold detail on the body looks good. I just think a long-sleeved version of last year's shirt with claret stripes and and all-blue sleeve would have worked better. Hopefully, I'll be more impressed when it's unveiled tomorrow.
-
I think it's shit. Would have been OK without the sleeve cuffs.
3/10.
Agreed
-
Last long sleeve I bought was 07-08 5-1 shirt. A thing of beauty. This new one just feels a lazy retread of last years.
-
We already need to ditch the away kit, always lose in it!!

£60 for a polo top. Jeez
-
Long sleeve is only available in store.
It's online now. £90.
-
Would like to get the black 150th anniversary shirt, but not available in my size (M).
£80 is a bit steep anyway, hoping they do a sale at some stage.
-
Err why is the new home shirt 5 quid cheaper at JD Sports?
-
Like the olden days, where the shirts were always cheaper in places like sports direct...
-
I like the new home shirt.

No kids home socks?

No Europa patches online, which is shoddy.

Just had a look on the website. What makes the authentic shirt worth £35 more than the regular shirt?

The little cvnts spend half their time running round barefoot anyway.

Thinner material with more holes.

The gold trim on the body is 24 carat gold as opposed to 9 carat.

Is your kid Stig of the Dump?
He does footy.training in his kit, so will have to wait.
-
Ordered the new home shirt last Thursday from the club website so this morning when the postman delivers the package I excitedly open it and find my lovely new Villa shirt is actually a kids 4-5 years Leeds Utd kit !!!!
-
Man wish last seasons home kit came in long sleeved that would have been awesome
-
I don't think they are selling as well as expected, given the number of ICYMI emails from the Villa. Still, they're cheaper than a matchday ticket now.
-
They might not be selling as well as expected because the design is so similar to last year.
-

Think you are right andy. Also ghe fact its £80 why would you spend that much on a kit thats very similar and my opinion not as good. I prefer the claret stripes tbh
-
The stripes should ideally be exactly the same blue as the sleeves.
-
3rd shirt, this one who’s leaked it leaked the home one months before and was spot on https://x.com/opaleak/status/1947597512447299747?s=46&t=s_7OtdZds_V67j7otBzxig

Generally, I love everything Villa, I’m a proper happy clapper.
That 3rd kit is fucking horrible.
-
Reminds me of decorators overalls.
-
They could've used the standalone lion for this ffs.
All three kits are shit this season. But still miles better than a shit brand like Macron or Kappa so at least there's that.
-
Footy Headlines seem to think it's genuine. They describe it as an artistic and bold design, featuring a white base with a marbled pattern in pastel hues inspired by stained glass windows.
-
It's defo genuine.
-

It's got a massive standalone lion on the front in that opaque detail if you look.
-
I love it. I also really like Arsenal’s minimalist canon badge. I wish we’d do something similar with the lion.
-
I'm not sold on it but it's a third kit, it's a bit different, and it's better than the Arsenal and Real Madrid efforts above. I suspect it's also a kit that will look better on the players on TV, than it does in the leaked pictures.

The big flappy collars on the Arsenal shirt means it's a no from me. The Real Madrid effort looks like a poor man's Chelsea shirt, and no one wants that.

Ill wait to see it on Rodrygo on the pitch :)

I generally like 3rd kits that are different, but that's crap. The blue splodges look like sweat stains under the arms.

-
Yuck.
-
Could have had this. Don't know how to make the lion the same colour as the sponsor and trefoil sorry.
It's only a small change but it does make easier to see Jesus's face on the front.
-
After seeing the Real Madrid and Gunners 3rd shirts I'm really disappointed with that effort - I wonder of the twats at Adidas Corp recommended a late change after a much better 3rd option was made available via DHGate - saw a kid at Walsall last week sporting one when asking for an autograph, it looked 100 times better than that abomination.
-
Arsenal kit is decent (if a bit safe) but the real one is fucking awful.
If that is ours then I like it, the 3rd kit should always be something a bit weird.
-

Looking at those designs, you’d think ours would be plain white, blue stripes, claret badges and logos.

I actually really like it.
As a rule I prefer minimalist, but I do also believe the third kit should embrace more ‘out there’ design options.

Interested to see a long sleeved version.
-
Top tip: create the long-sleeved experience without paying extra by having someone cut your arms off at the elbow (don't try it yourself, you can never manage the second one).

Why does everything have to be ‘inspired’ by something. The gas lamp, stained glass, that shit fucking song, the holte end blah blah whatever.
Just make it look nice so young people want to buy lots of them.
Down with this pseudo arty bullshit. No good ever came of it.

I read this thread with amazement at times, that people, full grown adults, can get so worked up about a detail on an item with limited scope for changing such things but which must do so every 12 months for maximum exploitation.
I would also bet my house that at least one poster will do so whilst not giving a second thought to the fact they've recently been spotted in public wearing sandals with socks.

Name and shame, we can't be allowing those sorts of people on here.

They're called sliders now, Grandad.

It's really nice.

I wear sliders with socks all the time.
Nothing wrong with it.
I don't care if the fashionistas of H&V disapprove. I will continue to wear sliders with socks.

I'd always rather somebody wear socks so I don't have to see their disgusting feet.

Women have told me my feet are really beautiful. They are jealous of them. They might be my best feature tbh.

File under people telling us Crocs, vintage wash jeans, flares (once was enough) and sporty 'Dad' trainers are "cool". I even read a piece last week in which they suggested that Paul Mescal had perfected the art of wearing shorts.

Holy fuck what abomination is this? I realise as a
Bloke in his late 50s I’m hardly the target audience for cutting edge fashion but shorts of that length with socks and loafers. Holy moly.

I was of a similar view.

Jesus, that's shit.
I love it. And I’m a very, very tasteful man.
In world's first i actually agree with you on something! I quite like this kit. The navy stripes look great as does the badge

I’ve changed my mind. I hate it.

If those are real they are going to sell very well. Although I imagine they will be obnoxiously priced.

About £70 for the top one and £100 for the trackie.

They are very smart, nice. I was gutted last year when our leisure clothing hadn’t quite caught up.

That last one 😍

That last one 😍
Yes that's very nice, but I'm not 100% sure about blue trim on cream when it's a Villa top.
-
There's some nice stuff there. Just wish that bottom top had a splash of claret on it, then I'd be all over that like a rash.

Easy enough to add yourself by wearing it around the Wood or jusr being a tad careless with some wine.

We'll allow it, given blue and white are also the national colours of Greece. We'll continue to monitor the situation.

It is nice but it’s got a hint of Chelsea or Rangers about it.
-
gosh i want all of them
-
Apart from the home top I don't think any apparel needs the colours of claret and blue all over them. It's part of the adidas icon range, with the iconic badge and the iconic trefoil logo. The cream and blue looks very nice, bring on more colourways like that.

Colour scheme looks similar to the leaked supposed 3rd kit.

Its the same as the 3rd kit, which everyone said was purple.

Can't beat a tribute to being relegated to the third division. It's a no from me.

Good lord, that was horrible.
I wonder if that's part of a 'memories' thing, because when i think of it, and relegation, that's sad times, but when I think of when I used to wear it, when I went off to be a student, that's very good times.
But if you take the emotional part out, it was awful.
Mind you, at least it stopped any more boring arguments about the badge for a bit.
-
The Henson kit was utter shit. Not just because of how we ended up that year but can you imagine it now if our badge was just AVFC. Fucking hell. I’ll take a which way should the lion face argument all day over that.
-
well the claret was decent.
-
It was probably our worst ever home kit.

This was my first ever kit and so it’s my favourite. I had both and particularly liked the away. Loved the badge too

My first Villa kit, which is why I have a soft spot for the all claret top and one reason why I loved the Luke top
-
I noticed on this year's FPL squad graphics the 3 claret and blue clubs all look like completely different colours. West Ham looks dark red, Burnley looks purple, and ours looks almost chocolatey brown.
-
I had that Docherty kit. I remember the badge coming unattached and my Mom having to sew it on herself.

Hmm, we rarely go blue as a main colour for good reason. This has more of an Argentina away vibe.

That's not Emi modelling it, he must be on his way.

I was really hoping the 3rd kit would just have the rampant Lion and not the full naff badge.
Oh well.

Just after we did all our training gear in Argie colours to keep him as well.

The Roma keeper had the yellow version of that on

That would suggest we aren't using the lone lion.
