Football fans, me included, are not known for being rational at times but we all need to let this sink in
This match was brought forward at short notice because of fixture congestion and the only reason it could be played this week is because Villa aren’t in the play-offs for the next stage of the Champions League. They qualified outright, finishing above Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Considering last night was our (i think) 11th CB pairing this season and we all feel a little disappointed we did not win
We will batter someone before this season is over

The FA did their level best to ensure we weren't rewarded with a free week off having avoided the play-offs by forcing this game to be brought forward. I can't see why a date couldn't be rearranged towards the end of the season? Or am I being too cynical??
