Anyone else do or done this. Any issues?
-
Yep, I did vs Spuds and use when King Ed’s is full. It’s decent, just had issues when there were problems on the Lichfield Road. Walk to the ground is fine if not the most scenic.

Did it for the Celtic game, was dead easy getting out.

Yep, and on Sunday was a doddle.

What is this place? It’s been a long time since I’ve driven to the game. A parking suggestion would be a god send. Cheers
-
I parked there for the Palace cup game, and it took over an hour to get out of the car park, absolute nightmare.
Being kind, I suppose if you get there early you might be better off, and once you’re out it’s dead easy to get back on the motorway, but I won’t use it again.
I have started to park on the double yellows on the road outside it, but I do have a blue badge.

It is part of the new industrial zone built between the Expressway and Powerleague. You have to book it through https://astonvillaparking.co.uk/ at £10 a pop or a season ticket if going to all home games.

The other official option is King Ed's. Closer to the ground but £5 more expensive the Y International.

Back in my ST days we just used to park on the streets in the triangle between Witton Road and Victoria Road. You had to get there early-ish but it always worked out ok. Does anyone still do that or is it all now permits?
-
Think you can still do that but there are no spaces left even around 90 minutes before kick off

I parked at Y International for the manure game as I wanted somewhere to get back on the M6 quicker. (I usually park at Cuckoo Wharf) It took an hour to get out but that might've been because like an idiot I didn't get as close to the exit as I should've done.
Anyway, I'm there again on Saturday and will be getting there early. Hopefully it'll be quicker getting out.
-
I've parked there twice last season and it was a nightmare, first time it took me nearly 2 hours to get out, the next time was about 1 hour and a half hours
The last couple of times i've been with my lad, we have parked at Cuckoo wharf and that was a lot better, if i'm by myself I park at Star City, no dramas getting out from there

Im localish in Sutton Coldfield, so mainly get the train. But do drive sometimes like last Sunday. I tend to park about a 20 minute walk by Moor lane, past the Yew Tree pub. Once you do the walk your away and could swing round some side streets through to Slade Rd and spaghetti junction for the motorway, pretty quickly

Used it once against Celtic, £15 that night,
got in and away easily with no problems
