The giant Ozzy Osbourne thing was weird. I know some people love Black Sabbath and I get the connection with Brum.... but I'm not sure I want him to personify the club like that!?

It's just branding innit? Strong brands assisting each other to create...something. I obviously don't work in marketing, but I can see Ozzy as a global brand and Villa looking for some global exposure from a collaboration with that??

There's no doubt it's aimed at America and it's a bit trying too hard but it's getting publicity.

Well it's just following the theme from the Adidas away-shirt advert last summer when his Sharon did a stint on the tills at the Villa Village.

Sure. And it's just that one game. If they were trying to recreate Ozzy as the principal identifiable symbol of the club, it would be different. There will be something else next time.
FWIW, I liked it. Lots of people around me were taking pictures.
