Would have liked Duran to start, look solid in midfield with little width.

That feels more set up for Watkins though. Get JJ and Rogers to run at Gana and Tarkowski and try to slip balls through for him to run onto.

I'd prefer Pau to Mings *runs away* but that looks a very decent line up?

Pau who has a broken ankle bone you mean?

Obviously not saying he should play today. In general I'd think it was a stronger line up with him in it, but that aside it looks like still a very strong side.

Say this most weeks but given the results around us, it feels like a must win game for us. There's only so long we'll get away with dropping points against teams like this before the gap to top 4 becomes too big.

Well he did assist the winner. Has a good record against Brighton too and also scored.

Anyway, we just need to keep Gana Gay at bay as much as blunt Dom Calv Lewin.

Indeed, if we do that I think we lose. They’re not good, but they’re bloody stubborn and will have a bit of a lift. If we give them encouragement we’ll struggle given how we have been playing.

Newcastle have a forward in Isak like we had with Ollie last year. Just on fire right now. Makes such a difference to reward good work with a goal. We have put so much extra pressure on a fragile defence when we cannot score.

Three points and should have scored more, defence looked good but Everton rarely troubled us. Mings was dominant at set pieces which helps.
