Title: Block B5 - Trinity Road - Middle - what to expect?
Post by: Russ aka Big Nose on January 03, 2025, 03:12:23 PM
Hi all,

A change of plan for tomorrow - I'm watching the game with an older gent who typically watches football in the posher sections of grounds.

We will be in Block B5 - Trinity Middle, whilst a mate has my usual seat/s in the Holte End. So I manage his expectations sufficiently in advance, what can we expect?

A decent view of the pitch, though what is the propect of a decent pint and pie before kick-off and something at half-time? I've not been in the Trinity Road stand for years and then it was either the top tier or the Enclosure. Thanks. UTV.

That’s where my last ST was.

Superb view.

I’ve been lucky enough to have the use of an older couples ST’s for the last few home games in B4 and I’ll be there again on Saturday. Great view, no problems getting through the turnstiles. Minimal queues to get served before and at HT, although we did go down a bit late at ht for the Brighton game so it may have died down by then.
Altogether a good experience but I’d expect that judging by the price of the tickets.

Thanks both.

I assume the beer and food offer is the same as elsewhere in the ground? e.g., Amstel or Peroni - bog standard 'cooking' lager that marketing types have tried to make look premium. UTV

I love the "older" requirement running through this thread to sit in this section.  What exactly is the age entry level for B4/B5?

B5 is accessed from the main LTR concourse, so that's your refreshments area

Sorry, the reference to me attending with an "older" gent was more to do with where I've decided to park and the options for a pre-match pint.

Though I'm from B44 (Kingstanding/New Oscott) I now travel up from Bristol. My routine last season was Witton Arms if we could get in. This season - most of the time - we go for a pint in the Bartons Arms and end up leaving too late, so it is a bit of a dash to get in for kick-off.

The person coming along tomorrow is in his late 70s and a neutral fan. Hence, I've paid for parking at King Edward VI so it is a more manageable walk and I didn't think the Witton Arms would be as enjoyable for a neutral (plus it takes forever to get served). Hence the question about how good it might be on the concourse in the Trinity Middle bit.

Given my day job and work for The FA, the tickets in B5 are Comps from the Villa, so they decided where to put us. Don't tell Chris Heck ;)
