In that second paragraph you appear to be impressed by bells & whistles. Who are you and what have you done with Dave Woodhall?
-
I thought the tifo was ace.
Edit: My phone knows of one of my other interests: autocorrected tifo to Rico three times.

I'm a bit of a misery when it comes to that sort of thing but it's different for European nights. The City feels different, there's a buzz about the place (not the ones you ride on) and the same goes for the ground itself. I always get to my seat at the last minute but get in early for our European games. I was at home last night and watched the build up which I never usually do.
The fireworks and razzmatazz always seems utterly suitable for these special occasions, I just think they look incongruous for routine league games against Brentford or Wolfs.

Done.

Great read Dave.

I agree with Nev. Hi Ho Silver is still the cringiest thing in football but the rest was just the right side of the cringe/spectacular line.

Yes. Even when it's playing at Villa Park I still wonder why we are using a song associated with Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday.

Same.

I didn't know Tifo's were a thing until that game... must get out more.

I personally can't stand them, and would put them in a bin with drummers, trumpeters and playing music after goals.

Ah well you can't please everyone, huh. I think it gave ab amazing arena for the players to walk out to, intimidating for the away team.

Nothing in football, and I mean NOTHING is worse than goal music.

I had to Google it.

I thought everyone was recording the live TV at home from the ground somehow.
In seriousness though, it looked like it was the Adidas seat logo in the North from the highlights. What was the rest of the grounds display with the cards?

What's a 'tifo' ?

They're about as intimidating as putting your baseball cap on back to front.

I had to google it as I thought it was advertising for a new chocolate bar or the like. Now and then fine but every game? Nah! I guess the newness of it all is what's driving it. My 'Proud History Bright Future' scarf showed up yesterday, don't know why, maybe the wife was trying to secure some of my Wardrobe space. I guess Lerner got it right after all.

How about a Chelsea/Dirty Leeds half and half scarf ?
