Lee Marshall has another take on the events of Saturday afternoon.

That final paragraph was pretty much what I said verbatim in my earlier post.

Again, well done for bringing attention to his.
I hope the club is bombarded with complaints all week.
-
I see it’s been picked up by the Birmingham Mail as well now.
I have to say the issues with the facilities have been around for many years. In the Witton upper where I am, it has always been cramped and the toilet facilities really poor but you just put up with it when tickets were £20 to £25 and we were 20% below capacity for most games. It becomes unacceptable when the ground is rammed, you have to queue for ages for refreshments or disgusting toilet facilities and you’re paying £50 to £75.

Spot on Lee.

Very well said Lee.
Can I ask as many people as possible to email fancomplaints@avfc.co.uk ?

Don't forget to include your supporter reference number:
"How do I make a complaint?
Where possible, we ask that you put your comments in an email to fancomplaints@avfc.co.uk or by writing to:
Supporter Liaison Manager, Villa Park, Birmingham B6 6HE.
In order for us to reply to a complaint it is essential at the time of writing that you provide us with the following information:
Your client reference number(s)
• A contact telephone number(s)
Please note that without this information we may be unable to respond to your comments."

All in all a total and utter embarrassment that if it was happening at our neighbours grounds we would be wholly taking the piss. Add that to the champions league trophy in the tunnel then all in all a pretty piss poor start.

I'm astonished that someone actually gets paid to be our "Supporter liason Manager" Whoever it is should be dragged over the coals as supporter liason is non existent at the club these days.

Good article and spot on, although I honestly can’t remember what the urinals were like when I went to Ipswich half a lifetime ago!

If it's still Lee Preece then he's fantastic and a credit to the club.

Have you ever tried contacting him? If you do you’ll see he could barely be more responsive. He works all the hours God sends (I’ve had emails from him with early hours of the morning timestamps - as have many others) but I do think he has far too many different responsibilities and there could do with being about 5 more of him!
-
Yep, just to concur, Lee is a really good guy. Someone at the club who genuinely cares.
I find it pretty sickening that so much of this seems to be landing on his doorstep. How about the “Communications Director” - I didn’t even realise we had one.
Shame we don’t have a direct email for the Ticket Office Manager too. She shouldn’t be in the job.
-
Same here re Lee Preece. Over the few times I’ve contacted him he’s represented the very best of the club. This certainly shouldn’t be falling into his lap.

Ditto: prompt, efficient and personable in manner. An asset to the club. Pity he has to catch the flack for incompetence higher up. 'They had one job...'

It is and he is.
