I loved the last one, love this one....wish the club could put out the same quality
-
If this is deemed worthy of a new thread, I hope it leads to a burgeoning brotherhood between Bardell and Badders (Bad Inglish).

I take it you're having a bad day.....
-
Lots of very special memories there. Loved it.
Nice one Dan.
-
Sorry, i haven't watched it yet :-[
-
ALRIGHT ALRIGHT I'll say it.
Who is Dan Bardell?
-
You tuber, talk sport 2 and Sky transfer window presenter.
-
WWWWWHHHOOOOOOOSSSSHHHHIIIOOOOOOOO!!!!
-
Love it.
-
Who is that?
-
Not a fan of the forced rhyming thing, but otherwise very good indeed.
Well done Dan.
Who?
UTV!!!
-

Sound like a right w@nker.
-
Liked it a lot
-
Really enjoyed the pace but agree with FMWMU re the slightly annoying rhyme scheme.
-
That's good. I've obviously missed something with the "who" stuff, but he seems like a decent bloke.
-
I did have a bit of a ‘where have those years gone’ moment during that. 5 years since the 10 game run and promotion. 4 years since the pandemic and West Ham away, Trez, I’d almost forgotten about him. 3 years since Grealish went, passage of time and all that.

He has/had pet rabbits so he’s a top bloke in my eyes.

And he loves dogs.

I think it works well in this fun context. Annoying when it’s performance poetry.

Love a bit of rabbit, it's very tasty. I even went for the rabbit lasagna when I was in Cuba, but prefer it in a red wine stew.

I've never been to South Korea.

I did have a bit of a ‘where have those years gone’ moment during that. 5 years since the 10 game run and promotion. 4 years since the pandemic and West Ham away, Trez, I’d almost forgotten about him. 3 years since Grealish went, passage of time and all that.
All gone so quick.
Had memories of it regardless with Talksport on currently and they're hosting from Box Park at Wembley.
The play off final v Derby remains the only time I've ever been confident we'd win a game at Wembley (deep down I thought Fulham would beat us the previous year). When you look back we just had to win it as Grealish would've left and Mings would never have signed full time. McGinn probably would've stayed I think.
Been a fantastic ride in the last five years. The annoying thing is we could've had this season a little sooner if we hadn't wasted a year on the Slippy vanity project.

Don’t stress about that. Remember Unai was in the mood to stay at Villareal when Slippy came in

He was about to join Newcastle but turned them down last minute.
There were plenty of other good managers around at that time. It was a shame we sacked our most popular manager in decades to get in Gerrard.
Luckily we sacked him just in time otherwise 22/23 would've been a total write off. Getting Europe was the stepping stone we needed to get top 4 this season.

6 years since the Dr did a runner and vanished into thin air .
-
That must have taken some serious effort. Well done, Dave Barbell.
-
I like Dan Bardell and this does a good job of stringing together some great memories, but the rhyming thing used on it makes me want to slit my own face off

Exactly right and well said.

Concrete shit shoes maybe
-
I really don't understand the "Who is Dan Bardell?" thing but fair play apart from the rhyming scheme.

He was at the Play Off final though.

Absolutely. Seems like a decent sort to me.

If you think it's alright, I might give it a watch.
-
Just don't put the sound on.
-
It's clever & all that how he came up with the rhymes, but that sort of gimmick is not for me.
Some good memories in the video though.
I like Bardell. He's knowledgable & a good representation of Villa fans on Sky Sports.
-

One of those videos.
-
Dan Bardell is a decent fella. The original video seemed to be something which got him noticed by Sky Sports and he's run with it. Good luck to him. I don’t really listen to those Villa podcasts myself.
-
Before he was on-screen with them Dan Bardell worked for Sky on the production side.

There's been better.

I was unaware of that. Makes sense, he seemed to be a little bit more savvy when all of these fan podcasts started up.
-
I love his podcasts. He’s knowledgeable, bright, has good guests, and frankly always comes across as a kind person. The only Villa staff I’ve ever heard him get cross about are Lescott and Gerrard. Fair enough, two very incompetent employees!
-
Personally I thought it was shite especially the rhyming sick.

Same 😂

Harsh. He's a good fella.

Harsh. He's a good fella.
He probably is. But I don't know who he is so it doesn't matter.
-
He’s a nice bloke, always happy to chat at a game.
Theirs was pretty much the first Villa podcast so far as I’m aware and pretty much always the best.
As for the poem, I really liked the first one. This one was a bit more hard work, but still great editing and some brilliant memories .
To give credit where it’s due I think video and editing was done by Dan Rollinson who is now on the Birmingham Mail podcast team

This.
I'm not sure who he is really.

So this isn't gonna happen? :(

I think the main point of the old "Who is Dan Bardell?" line is that I'm not really interested in what he has to say really. It may well be great 'content' and he is probably a sound lad and that, but I can't be arsed listening to podcasts. People on H&V know everything and that is enough for me. :-)

Exactly this. Well, apart from the last bit.
-
Ah I know, just joshing with you.
-

We do. In fact I can provide the answer to a long standing question now. He was off the field injured at the time.
