Ah fuck. Oh well come on Villa.
-
Better give Emi a few more days so he’s ready for Thursday. Good to see Pau back and Moreno on the bench.
-
Fucking hell. Olsen.
Anyway, up the fucking Villa
-
Welbeck worries me. Bailey Diaby & Rogers. We’re going for it.
-
No Lallana for them, I fancy our chances again....
-
Get your prayer mats out
-
Zani pick up a knock again?
-
Missing:
1. Martínez
2. Mings
3. Kamara
4. Tielemans
5. Ramsey
6. Zaniolo
7. Buendia
-
If they shoot with any kind of power and accuracy they have a decent chance of scoring, we have to close them down with aggression.
Otherwise very attacking line up again. We were a bit wide open on Thursday with pretty much the same line up. Hopefully get a couple of early goals
-
God sakes olsen again. That means no clean sheet.
No idea why gauci can't get a start.
Brightons tactics (like most clubs when olsen is in goal) apply pressure on keeper and we win
Shame no youri but good to see moreno back
-
Olsen, while he didn’t cover himself in glory wasn’t the reason we lost the other night. He did ok, could have done better on a couple of the goals. He did all the basic stuff well enough. And with Pau back it makes us better overall. We’ll be fine. Just need to keep the ball well and not allow Brighton to dominate possession. Get in front and a side close to the beach will be on the beach.

To be fair pinning clean sheets on Olsen is a bit unfair. Emi rarely keeps them as well.

He wasn't the only one at fault, but with Emi in goal we'd have got at least a draw - He saves two of those goals that Olsen let in, potentially the penalty too.
Still winnable today - We just need to adopt the Keegan mentality to football.... Score more goals than them!
-
No Lallana for them, I fancy our chances again....
But Adingra is a dangerous player.
-
We’d better have our shooting boots on because we aren’t keeping a clean sheet here.
-
Get your prayer mats out
Yes, it's starting to feel like the early 1980s.
-
I think if we get CL today, we may not see Emi for the rest of the season, if what I read is true, hamstring injury. These type of injuries usually take anything between 3-5 weeks. No point in rushing him back only to aggravate the injury.

With Emi in goal we are always better. That’s not the argument. But the immediate reaction is that we’re fucked because he’s in goal. We defended as badly as a team other night as I’ve ever seen. So badly that Emi would have been as exposed even if he would have done better with shots he’d have faced. But as for today, we are close enough to the finish line that this side should be good enough to win and leave Emi a few more days to get healthy for Olympiakos.
-
I'm not his biggest fan but I really wish Olsen could be given a bit of a break from the negativity.
-

Emery suggested Emi might have had a chance to play today.
-
Bailey is 65-1 for an assist in each half. Worth a flutter.
-
At least he’s dropped Cash and put konsa back.
-
I’ve showed up an hour early to watch this thinking it kicked off at 1 for some reason. Shouldn’t have bothered, Sky seem to just want to talk about Klopp.
-
On my feed they’ve just mentioned Villa. Took them a while. And it was fleeting. The crew are at Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea and spent most of the time talking about Liverpool and the title race.

Agreed 100%, it is really fucking me off.
His biggest problem, he is not Emi. But who is?
Give the man a break.
We still have enough to win this. 1-2 the boys in C&B.
-
There are going to be goals in this match.
I’ve had 3-3 at 22/1.

Interesting that the video has Zaniolo arriving but didn’t make the subs bench.
-

Yep, Klopps Legacy, three hours before their game and just before ours. They're such twats.
-
Sky will be cutting away from the Villa match to show Liverpools players arriving.

He picked up a yellow on the way to the changing room so Unai couldn't risk it.

The string quartet playing YNWA - if I hadn’t just seen it I would assume someone was exaggerating.

Haha, I know! Fawning doesn't come close.
-
Sky just put up graphic of the "big 6" which they included spurs who have spent £570m and won nothing. Chelsea and redfilth net spend of £1billion.........
And plastic manc fans moan about city's spend.
As for coverage it's obvious they really don't want to include us in the love in

Could only be more crass if they asked Nigel Kennedy to play it.

FFS Olsen !

100% agree

Anybody know Olsens record with us in terms of results? Hoping it might cheer me up!

Unsubscribe. Hit them where it hurts. W*nkers.
-
Anybody know Olsens record with us in terms of results? Hoping it might cheer me up!
He was in goal in 22-23 when we won away at Spurs.
-
I’m curious about Gauchi - from what I’ve seen, he looks like an Emi Mk2
-
The whining about olsen when emi is injured is beyond tedius at this point
-
I'd be a lot more confident if we had Mings for this. We need to cut-down on the corners and free-kicks we concede as they have big fuckers at the back.
-
I’m curious about Gauchi - from what I’ve seen, he looks like an Emi Mk2
At this age Emi MkI was pisisng about at Reading on loan or something. Gauchi has some of the traits of Emi in terms of box presence and shot stopping from his limited experience in Australia. He looks decent. Unless you are taking the opinion of Pablo who is convinced this is the worst signing in the history of the club.
-
FFS Olsen !
I think at some point today, we'll all be saying that.
-
There isn’t some conspiracy around the “big 6” it’s just a term that’s understood and it relates to the teams who in general have been in the top 6 places over the last decade. Used to be “big 4”, and I think it’ll become increasingly irrelevant over time. But it’s not some indicator of Sky wanting Villa to be kept out, it’s just easier from a marketing pov to talk in terms like this. If Villa sustain our levels for a period we’ll be talked about as well - Sky just want ratings, that’s what matters to them.
-
As per usual Sky might get round to us once they've stopped chatting about Liverpool v Spurs.
-
I don't think Sky fully understand how big Villa are. The big 6 is as much about selling their wares around the world and those 'big 6' having fans all over the world. They make the mistake, but are likely to find out if we make the top 4, just how big Aston Villa really is.
-
Alan Smith says Brighton can’t buy a goal at the moment……
-
Come on Villa. This is the day let’s do this wish we weren’t playing in all claret though. Why couldn’t we wear white shorts ??
-
Alan Smith says Brighton can’t buy a goal at the moment……
Well they’ll definitely score today. Hopefully we’ll score more.
-
Unfortunately Alan Smith is the worst Co commentator and always wrong!
-
Come on me babbies
-
FFS Olsen !
I think at various points today, we'll all be saying that.
Corrected.
-
I remember that ref.
He's a ******
-
That wasn’t a pen.
-
Brighton 20th in the league for any sort of positive stat over the last 8 games. Batter them please.
-
Diaby has to do better there , what a waste .
-
Olsen saves
-
So bloody sloppy
-
So sloppy in the middle there giving it away .
-
SJM and Doug have to do better there. Decent save.
-
Feel free to wake up at some stage Villa
-
Got to deal with the right hand side.
-
Konsa really isn’t a right back
-
We’ve started so many games like this in recent weeks.
-
Started like a train again.
A train of shit.
-
Konsa really isn’t a right back
Yep. Crazy from Emery.
-
Very sluggish and sloppy thus far.
-
Konsa really isn’t a right back
Been caught out twice already
-
I’m curious about Gauchi - from what I’ve seen, he looks like an Emi Mk2

Bit of an exaggeration there mate.
I don't like the signing because I don't rate him. I think he has an error in him more often than not.
But he is far from the worst signing we have ever made.
-
Is this sloppiness the new Villa or just an end of season tired Villa?
-
Well, that looked a foul from here 100m away
-
Ref, you fucking dick.
-
Referee, come on.
-
Konsa really isn’t a right back
Cash is unsurprisingly, much better there.
Maybe Konsa there and Carlos in the centre for the height offered by Brighton?
-
fouled twice there bailey- wanker ref
-
How the fuck is that not a foul on Bailey !
-
Bailey still having that tape on his knee. Thats probably going to have to be addressed in summer
-
Bailey not been involved at all yet. We never look balanced with him and Diaby both starting.
-
Bailey gets fouled twice. Nothing from the ref. Nothing from the commentators. Dummies.
-
Ref clearly an arsehole, Definite foul on Bailey.
-
Oh look, the ref's fucking useless. That makes a refreshing change.
-

Ok but you did call him a disaster waiting to happen.
-
Konsa really isn’t a right back
Cash is unsurprisingly, much better there.
Maybe Konsa there and Carlos in the centre for the height offered by Brighton?
That crossed my mind as well.
-
Ref clearly an arsehole, Definite foul on Bailey.
Twice!
-

There is definitely a snobbery & a bit of prejudice about the club being in Birmingham from the likes of Sky.
I remember a friend visiting there a while back through work & when asked who he supported, they absolutely rinsed him & looked down in him for being a Villa fan.
The question asked most times by them was "why"?
They seemed baffled when told that it was their hometown club...
-
Our shape don't look right to me today .
-

Think that was the point.
-
Christian Purslow blagging another ticket to watch the Villa !
-
Take your time no rush
-
Drab game so far.
Id take a boring 0-0 tbh
-
When I watch the way we have started this game with it all to play for against a side with nothing to play for, I worry headed into Thursday whether we will have the desire and energy from the start to get back a two goal deficit.
-
Commentator boils my piss by insisting on pronouncing Lucas Digne incorrectly. It annoys me a lot more than it should. Just lazy and unprofessional.
-
50+ games, with a depleted squad, has taken its toll.
-
Fuck me this is dreadful
-
Villa a fucking yawn fest so far.
Come on lads!
-
FFS Diaby.
-
Diaby needs to bloody wake up .
-
Played Olsen. Adingra is a threat so far.
-
What is going on with Diaby?
Hes let the ball run under his foot twice now.
-
Our passing is very sloppy. You can see we’re allowing Brighton to grow in confidence.
-
Typical end of season game with nothing to play for!!
-
What is going on with Diaby?
Hes let the ball run under his foot twice now.
He’s struggling today. Can hardly get his foot on the ball.
-
Rogers in trouble
-
Should be a yellow for that.
-

Without going into all that shit again, I did say that he was a disaster waiting to happen because from what I have seen of him, he has mistakes in him.
I also said that he is a decent shot stopper too, but overall, I didn't want the signing.
But it has been done now & hopefully I am wrong about him...
-
Cash warming up to come on
-
Got lucky there. Brighton are getting between the midfield and defensive line too easily.
-
Hurry up and score Villa
-
We're looking very leggy.
-
Cash warming up to come on
Hopefully just tactical and not an injury to someone
-
Great, Rogers injured.
-
Diaby appears worse and less interested with each game
-
Diaby, Bailey and Ollie not in this at all yet.
-
not rogers ffs
-
Rogers hamstring .
-
Diaby appears worse and less interested with each game
Yeah hugely disinterested with his assist and goal all of 3 days ago.
-
Fucking hell. Our 5,000th injury of the season.
-
What is going on with Diaby?
Hes let the ball run under his foot twice now.
I think the ball is slightly under pumped that’s why.
-
Ref clearly an arsehole, Definite foul on Bailey.
Twice!
The referee has just missed another one. I can't believe what I've just watched. Adingra has just pulled Bailey's shirt and the referee has just said "play on". Unai Emery is not happy with the referee.
- Stephen Warnock on the Beeb
-
'I can't believe what I've just watched'

-
Rogers off, Cash on.
-
Thats what happens when you dont rotate your squad
-
We cannot catch a fucking break here with injuries. Fuck sake
-
Another hamstring! Ffs.
-
What do these players do in training? A squad made of glass.
Very very unlucky with injuries
-
Thats what happens when you dont rotate your squad
We don’t have the squad to rotate, lol.
-
That’ll be Rogers season sadly.
-
Hopefully just a precaution and he'll be OK for Thursday.
-
Thats what happens when you dont rotate your squad
We don’t have the squad to rotate, lol.
Kellyman ?
-
Bugger, that knackers up our attacking options
-
Thats what happens when you dont rotate your squad
Rotate? With what or who? Have you seen the bench in recent weeks? And if we did rotate with kids or some of the less first team ready players we wouldn’t be 4th.
-
Why do players on the bench not have their fucking shirts on ready.
-
What do these players do in training? A squad made of glass.
Very very unlucky with injuries
The gods dont want us winning anything 😢
-
Thats what happens when you dont rotate your squad
This must be a joke, right?
-
That’ll be Rogers season sadly.
He did jog off the field, so hopefully more precaution than injury
-
Why do players on the bench not have their fucking shirts on ready.
They’re not allowed to are they?
-
Cash in front of Konsa will help neutralize Adringa.. hopefully.
-
Oh no this formation
-
It's a good job there are only a few games left this season, or Emery would be having to play the canteen staff.
-
Why do players on the bench not have their fucking shirts on ready.
They’re not allowed to are they?
Oh really? Ok in which case if there’s an injury play should be stopped until the replacement is ready.
-
Why do players on the bench not have their fucking shirts on ready.
No one needs to wear a Castore shirt a second longer than necessary.
-
That’ll be Rogers season sadly.
He did jog off the field, so hopefully more precaution than injury
Looked like he tried to and then pulled up.
-
Why do players on the bench not have their fucking shirts on ready.
No one needs to wear a Castore shirt a second longer than necessary.
Wouldn’t the training top be a Castore shirt?
-
Cash in front of Konsa will help neutralize Adringa.. hopefully.
And also neutralise our threat from centre to left.
-
We're quite literally limping to the finish line.
-
2-0 Chelsea
-
Beginning to think that with Rogers off, Diaby uninterested, our best bet is to pump the ball over for Ollie to run on to it.
-
Torres is having a shocker so far.
-
Starting to look like we are on one of our mini wobbles.
Bad timing but with the injuries piling up and euro to contend with you can't really blame anyone.
-
Borefest incoming
-
We don’t really look like we have a plan in terms of attacking here.
-
Poor Ollie is going to end the season stuck on 19 isn't he, as we fail to create a chance for him in the last few games
-
Fucking hell. Our 5,000th injury of the season.
[/quote
I've told you a million times about exaggerating.
-
Thats what happens when you dont rotate your squad
This must be a joke, right?
Do i look like im laughing ? 😁
Im talking about giving a youngster more time like kellyman. He has been on the bench near enough eveey week and we have rarely used him. Lets give and kesler more minutes
-
Well, that looked a foul from here 100m away
I hope you’ve brought your boots.

And going for 4th place and a European final we’d have risked both. You do understand that right?
-
Nice first touch Ollie
-
Watkins, great first touch then bottled it.
-
Sublime touch followed by hesitation. If he backed himself to shot first time like Duran he would break records
-
FFS Ollie why cut in again.
-
Ollie man 🤦♂️
-
shoot ollie ffs
-
Got to get a shot off there Ollie.
-
Thought watkins was in but he turned back into trouble.
-
We look very low on confidence.
-
Watkins doesn't trust his left-foot there, really disappointing.
-
I thought sky has some twats commentators but Alan Smith is nauseating and he is meant to be a villa fan ffs.
We cannot pass wind at present
-
No one wanted the ball from that throw in.
-
We look very very very nervous
-
Do you think the BBC have a good case for suing both these teams for the lack of any highlights for motd?
-
A bit of energy and they lose the ball - that’s what we need to do.
-
Played Doug
-
Thats what happens when you dont rotate your squad
This must be a joke, right?
Do i look like im laughing ?

And going for 4th place and a European final we’d have risked both. You do understand that right?
And we cabt achieve that by giving abit more game time to some youngsters? How are we meant to know if they are good enough if you never give them any game time TV?
-

You play them in games where there is not so much riding on the result, that's how you do it.
-
McGinn overplaying there
-
Well done Doug, before that terrible and predictable. If we want to play out it’s got to be much more coherent.
-
Played Olsen
-
they look like a team on the beach we look knackered. poor game so far, low intensity
-
Tim for Diaby please Unai
-
Could be Gauchi time
-
Well done Robin
-

The thing is sometimes you need to give them 20 minutes to help. Its sink or swim. We need to have more faith with our youngsters.
No one has really come through since ramsey. Still touch and go with timmy
Well done olsen
-
Good keeping there
-
Well done Olsen, again sloppy play exposed us. We are far too laboured.
-
Is Olsen injured too? FFS!
-
Well done Olsen there
-
Tim for Diaby please Unai
No thanks Unai.
-
We look absolutely knackered.
-
We are definitely playing for 0-0
-
Good save
-
Jesus not olsen too. Fucking hell. Someone doesnt like us up there
-
Showing the arrival at Anfield of the team buses will probably create more of a spectacle than this match
-
Nothing wrong with Olsen he’s showboating
-
they look like a team on the beach we look knackered. poor game so far, low intensity
You beat me to it pretty much word for word...
-
We look like we're running on fumes. physically and mentally.
-
We are definitely playing for 0-0
I'd absolutely take it too.
-
Oh God another five minutes of this shite...
-
Showing the arrival at Anfield of the team buses will probably create more of a spectacle than this match
I got a roast dinner in oven cooking that looks more entertaining than this game
-
We look like we're running on fumes. physically and mentally.
Yeah, we have looked increasingly that way for a while now. Not surprising really.
-
If we can’t get ourselves up for it be more push !!!!
-
We don't look knackered. We look shite. No idea how to go forward?again. Brighton haven't won in the last 6 games and they look good against us. To slow going forward again and again
-
Surely not Gauci needing to come on? No one could have predicted that. *Whistle emoji*
-

There's some paint drying upstairs - think I'll go and watch that
-
What's this with Tim being the answer to everything? Not seen anything from his appearances so far
-
Digne asleep there...
-

Nice bait, nice 9th post.
-
Tim for Diaby please Unai
Well, if it stops him complaining about Olsen....
-
Digne asleep there...
It was a fucking shit pass to be fair
-
Olsen our MOTM so far.
-
Terrible pass Ollie, FFS
-
We have had 50+ games and a squad hit hard by injuries. Of course we are going to be feeling it, mentally and physically. When was the last time we competed at the top end of the table and were in a semi-final at the start of May?
-
What has happened to John McGinn?
-
Occasionally one of our players breaks into a sprint, I've noticed.
-
Bloody hell Villa! Don't let them score at half time!
Well done Robin!
-
chance seagulls there
-
Olsen again
-
Save again Olsen
-
Moussa Diaby, wake up son!
-
Good old Olsen!
-
Need to get a grip here or we're losing this.
So much sloppy play and we just look shattered.
-
konsa lost him there
-
Thank God Good Olsen has turned up today...
-
Get some Red Bull down you half-time ffs
-
Don't see how we are over turning a 2 goal deficit with performances like this.
Smashed it olsen well done
-
We are going to lose this aren’t and put unnecessary pressure on ourselves the next few weeks
-
We'd be losing if Emi was playing
-
Can’t complain about Olsen today.
-
Olsen again villa awful
-
Fantastic save. He's having a great game
-
In Olsen We Trust!
-
And relax for a bit
-
Well saved Olsen. He's keeping us in it.
-
Hats off to Olsen today.
-
Its the first post European game we've looked really bad
-
That was pathetic, a few arsed need kicked at half time.
-
54th game of the season today. 8 first team players out.
That's why I can't really bring myself to be frustrated with how poor we have been.
-
Olsen is keeping us in this. We are a million miles off it, terrible from all the other players.
-
Well done Olsen so far.
As for the rest.
With this formation we need Torres feeding Digne they aren't same wavelength
-
Well that was...dismal
-
Incredibly boring
-
Sorting out unai. Can't have Bailey and Diaby on together too lightweight. We need some bite in midfield
-
I think we just have to hope that Spurs don’t win another match.
-
It may be worth bringing Tim on for a forward and putting McGinn in the 10 and we have no linkup between midfield and forwards.
-
I don't want to be too harsh because we do have a stupid number of injuries and I know the lads are tired.
But fuck me that was a shockingly bad first half display.
-
One of the worst halves this season. Wake up FFS. Losing all the 50/50s and look like we’re petrified.
-
Gotta be honest, i'd take the point right now if offered.
-
Unai's going to have to weave his magic at half time.
We haven't got much on the bench going forward - Agent Chaos and Omari Kellyman.
-
Well done Olsen so far.
As for the rest.

None of our players can pass, it’s terrible stuff. If Brighton score they’re winning this, because we don’t even look like we can muster a shot let alone a goal.
-
Absolute garbage. We look like a team wanting the season to end. Twice the effort required in the 2nd half as very little evidence of any in the first.
-
First goal definitely wins this one.
-
It may be worth bringing Tim on for a forward and putting McGinn in the 10 and we have no linkup between midfield and forwards.
Said this earlier and was castigated
-
The plan is to rest up for the first 45 & smash them in the second 45.
-
Duran needs to be on the pitch we need some energy.
-

We have some very demanding posters around here!
If we had some luck with injuries we'd probably be clear at the top.
-
On the positive for it still to be 0-0 - surely we can start to play now!
-

Although I agree with others, can the kids be any worse then McGinn and Luiz when they can barely run anymore and just let players passed them.

I 100% agree we could have played the kids a bit more - probably earlier in the season to manage the number of games so we're a bit more fresh for now - but I worry in this game Brighton would move less experienced players around and find a way through us.
-
Brilliant by Olsen, I thought that was a goal. But that half was bloody awful. I don't know what Bailey and Diaby are meant to be doing, I'm not sure they do either. Our passing and control of the ball is dire. The set up and general quality of play is like it was in the home game v Spurs.
-
Didn't manage one chance worthy of the name. Worrying as there's always goals in us even when we play painfully slow.
At times when we try and do something clever and it doesn't come off, it just looks stupid.
Luiz takes a free-kick and instead of launching it into the box, he tries the outside of the boot flick to the flank to Bailey. And it doesn't come off. Really difficult to accept that crap.
Not everything has to be clever, especially when we're playing poorly, just throw it into the mixer rather than pissing about.
-
The plan is to rest up for the first 45 & smash them in the second 45.
Don’t rule it out
-
Emery really doesn't rate Tim does he?
Surely it makes sense to put him on just for another body in midfield?
With how we're playing we're just waiting to lose this game as we're second to every ball and complete disconnect between midfield and attack.
Bailey is basically limping through games currently so that's a big part of our attacking threat gone.
Can see this being a 1-0 loss with them scoring late. Olsen kept us in it so far.
-
Well it wasn’t great but they didn’t score and didn’t cause us that many problems. We were insipid with the ball and utterly clueless in the final third. Still 45 to go….

They are finding ways through us at the moment, because the players are too knackered to do anything to stop them.

Well a very good save stopped them going in front.
-
Very lucky to be 0-0. Very lucky.
-
One of the worst halves this season. Wake up FFS. Losing all the 50/50s and look like we’re petrified.
We're showing them far too much respect plus we look useless up front, neither Bailey or Diaby doing anything. Again the midfield outnumbered and not up to much. There are fresh legs on the bench, hopefully Unai will give youth a chance.
-
Very lucky to be 0-0. Very lucky.
Couple of good saves from our keeper but I don't call that luck. It's his job as Roy Keane would say.
-

We have played poorly and given up those chances. Thankfully Olsen has bailed us out. They are dominating possession and shots. We will need to do much better to keep this as is or anything better.
-
They are finding ways through us at the moment, because the players are too knackered to do anything to stop them.
Well then Unai needs to make changes. An Iroegbunam at 100% has to be better than McGinn or Luiz at 50%. Or take one of Bailey or Diaby off, and let Tim do the donkey work for them.
-
We're running on fumes - physically and mentally.
The bench is threadbare.
In terms of attacking options - Agent Chaos or Kellyman is all that we have - neither of whom are proper first choice alternatives.
Midfield?
Big Tim - a developing prospect
Chambers - reserve player at best.
Then it's defenders
KKH
Lenglet
Moreno
So looking at the "starting" bench, only Cash and Moreno can be considered proper first teamers.
-
Duran needs to be on the pitch we need some energy.
yep
-
54th game of the season today. 8 first team players out.
That's why I can't really bring myself to be frustrated with how poor we have been.
Yep. We are struggling badly at the moment and just need to get through today. A point woukd be a decent enough result really
-
We will up the pace in the second half . They know what they have to do.

Indeed but if we could take it up a gear we'd have three points.
-
Get Big Tim on for either Bailey or Diaby - he can sit and cover the back 4, allowing either McGinn of Luiz to push forward.
-
this is the old "one moment of magic" wins this
-
this is the old "one moment of magic" wins this
Hope it's Villa's!
-
Olsen MOTM so far
Easily.
-
If only cash could cross
-
Gone back to the arsenal team of a few years ago, plenty of passing but nothing else to show for it
-
Ref just guessing at this point.
-
A smidge better
-
There is not a bloody chance we’re scoring a goal today.
-
Brighton fans are some of the whiniest out there. Every decision that doesn't go their way is met with howls of derision.
-
If only cash could cross
It's like he thinks it's an optional extra, and that he's done well to even have the ball in attack. Annoying.
-
Close from Cash
-
A time for heroes. Who's it gonna be.
-
This is better but come on Leon do better!
-
This is better.
-
Waste by Cash from there.
-
Ollie's been a bit off it the last couple of games. He's played so many games, must be knackered too.
-
Waste by Cash from there.
Don't monf the odd dog like that
-
Ollie's been a bit off it the last couple of games. He's played so many games, must be knackered too.
To be fair he’s up against three bruisers on his own today
-
Phew
-
If only cash could cross
It's like he thinks it's an optional extra, and that he's done well to even have the ball in attack. Annoying.
He has an annoying habit of hitting his crosses without actually looking up.
-
Torres gives it away again.
-
Well done Pau.
-
Torres gives it away again.
It's really uncharacteristic. Honestly, summer can't come quick enough.
-
Olsen again
-
Saved Olsen
-
Thank you Olsen.
-
Oh well played Olsen.
-
Olsen again
Torres needs to stop losing it
-
Torres gives it away again.
It's really uncharacteristic. Honestly, summer can't come quick enough.
These last few injuries are a few too far. It doesn't help that Unai:-
Wont trust the kids.
Decides to piss about with the formations anyway to make it even harder to keep settled.
-
Another great save Olsen, well played.
-
Olsen to the rescue again. Thought that was in
-
Torres gives it away again.
It's really uncharacteristic. Honestly, summer can't come quick enough.
It’s all so needless too.
-
We're looking for a smash and grab today.
-
Any chance the outfield players can decide to put some f**king effort in, well done Olsen
-
Torres is well off it
-
This will be a smash and grab worthy of legend if we come away with a win.
-
Torres didn’t play thursday so he has no excuse.
-
Torres didn’t play thursday so he has no excuse.
Apart from the knock he might be carrying which is why he didn't play Thursday.

Torres didn’t play thursday so he has no excuse.

1-0

Ace
-
Come on VAR
-
Was coming I suppose.
-
We are giving Spurs hope. Fuck sake Villa
-
was fuking coming
-
That's game over
-
Might be offside.
-
1-0
How did you post that before the goal?
-
offside?
-
Offside surely.
-
Looks off
-
Disallowed
-
Must be off
-

-
No goal
-
Good
-
Cash playing him on?
-
Always like VAR
-
Thanks goodness
-
That's offside.
-
I’ll take 0-0 right now
-
That’s a let off.
-
You would hope it would be the wake up call for something, from someone in Villa colours or in the technical area. But I seriously doubt it.
-
Nerve wracking trying to follow this thread at work.
-
Thank feck for that
-
Right, let's take advantage of this.
-
Man a wakeup call
-
I’ll take 0-0 right now
Me too.
-
A let off.
Now wake up, Villa please!
-
Fucking miles off, you could see that with the naked eye.
-
C’mon Villa.
-
Get the panda on!!!!
-
come on villa. wake up
-
We'll be lucky not to lose this. We look absolutely and completely fucked. Playing at walking pace most of the time.
-
clearly off the lino could use the 6 yard line as reference. didn't even need VAR's bullshit lines
-
I’ll take 0-0 right now
Definitely! Unless Ollie chooses today to finally score his 20th league goal!
-
poooh team news at anfield. Fuck off.
-
Diaby off, panda on
-
All that came from a shocking pass by Torres yes he was offside but by a knee come on Villa
-
I would very much like to see Cash replaced in the summer.
-
Get the panda on!!!!
We need someone who can pass the ball to him though, which we don't have. 2 shots at goal all game so far.
-
Cash that is poor
-
Panda?
-
I be happy with a point on the performance so far
-
Ace
Please don’t do irony. I know us scoring should be 0 - 1 but that got my hopes up…
-
Diaby off, Duran on.
-
Panda?
Who is Panda? Why?
-
This is such a massive 20 mins. Find a way Villa
-
Diaby off, Duran on.
Hopefully a good move.
-
I would have hooked Bailey. Cash And Diarby were making inroads down the right. Igor looks suspect.
-
The midfield needs a bit of work Unai, get Tim on.
-
Panda?
Who is Panda? Why?
I think someone called him Kung Fu Panda once and it’s stuck 😂
-
We wouldn't deserve it but we can still nick this.

Whilst you would think that, I just think the players don't have the energy or will power to actually play to what Emery wants from them, and for some reason Emery is not seeing it.
-
Confirmed offside

Penalty them

There's cavalry and there is other stufd

do we know how to pass
-
Are you kidding.
-
Confirmed pen
-
Spurs are going to win today I can feel it
-
all from mcginns stupid pass
-
Well done Ezri you’ve been garbage today.
-
do we know how to pass
Utterly dreadful today. Is everyone extremely tired all of a sudden?
-
This is the day we messed up
-
do we know how to pass
Not by today’s showing.
-
and konsa aint a RB
-
Saved. rebound scored
-
FFS. You worry about whether we've got another win in us this season.
-
Well done Ezri you’ve been garbage today.
Was there any reason for him to be shoved into RB again against a tricky winger?
-
The absolute brain dead passage of play from our free kick onwards has to be seen to be believed
-
Konsa you fucking idiot
-
Konsa is as much a fucking right back as I am a ballerina. Fuck sake Unai.
-
Olsen MoM by a mile
-
Konsa hasn't been very good today. All came from that rubbish Mcginn pass. Another that has been very poor today.
Shouldn't have played at right back, Konsa.
-
We're not getting back into this match.
-
jammy fiucks
-
We are going to bottle this like a bunch of fucking bottlers
-
Jammy ******
-
Fucking lucky bastards. Fuck off.
-
someone dont like us
-
What a great week this is turning out to be 😡
-
I’m off to mow the lawn.
-
Great save Olsen, unlucky with the rebound.
-
Well done Villa never can just wrap this up now.
-
Spurs will win, and ffs
-
That was really unlucky on Olsen.
-
Well Olsen is the only one to come out of this with any credit whatsoever
-
Better team. We have been woeful
-
Woeful today. In fact woeful in our last 3 games.
-
Dreadful team selection, rubbish subs.
-
Bollocks. Our luck this week, man.
-
I’m off to mow the lawn.
I did it first half, you'll have to find something else to do.
-
We're not getting back into this match.
Unlike Thursday when we had loads of chances, today we haven't created anything of note at all. So no, I can't see it.
-
Spurs will win, and ffs
Nailed on Spurs win
-
Dreadful team selection, rubbish subs.
No idea what the alternative is
-
Softest penalty I think I’ve ever fucking seen. The Roger’s one, no. That one yes. Absolute ****** of a ref has been AWFUL all game.
-
No complaints, they've been better than us today.
-
Dreadful team selection, rubbish subs.
What team from the wealth of talent he has available would you have selected?
-
So the easier of the three games and we cant see out a point. Marvellous
-
Dreadful team selection, rubbish subs.
This.
Unai not at his best today.
-
Moreno and chambers off. Konsa was being subbed before that goal.
-
I thought that was a very soft penalty.
-
Myself included, there was too much delight about Blues yesterday. This is what happens when we take joy in the misery of others.
-
Chambers on for Konsa, Moreno for Digne
-
Play like shit and you deserve shit…and shit is what we’ve got.
-
Oh well. We just have to pray Spurs lose to Liverpool and Abu Dhabi, I guess. Because our players can barely run any more.
-
That was really unlucky on Olsen.
Played well
-
no idea why Konsa is RB ?
-
9 added mins
-
For fuck sake, at hospital all afternoon and manage to get on my phone just in time to see them score.
A late goal against us probably more annoying than the triple fracture of my collarbone.
-
no idea why Konsa is RB ?
Formation has not worked any time
-
So the easier of the three games and we cant see out a point. Marvellous
Yep. This isn't game management. Win this today and spurs are buried. Instead we gift them some home. Poor tactics and worse performance.
-
Poor kaine
Not getting any minutes even when our teams completed knackered
What was the point of recalling him. Seriously
-
I thought that was a very soft penalty.
Terrible decision.
-
Myself included, there was too much delight about Blues yesterday. This is what happens when we take joy in the misery of others.
Tell me you're joking?
-
I thought that was a very soft penalty.
Indeed never a penalty but VAR were never going to overturn it. Guaranteed if hadn’t have given it VAR would have backed that too
-
We look a bloody rabble at the moment. Good job there’s seven points in it.
-
Dreadful team selection, rubbish subs.
What team from the wealth of talent he has available would you have selected?
Well everyone and their dog is telling us that Luiz isn't a DM and that is the only reason he isn't playing well, so do some selection to ensure someone else is in the DM position to push Luiz further forward into a position where he could do well (although I doubt he would be better), so trust Tim or even put chambers there at the worst push.
-
We have been abject . Boring to watch , no invention , pathetic display .
-
no idea why Konsa is RB ?
Formation has not worked any time
Arsenal and Man City at home the only real time.
-
I know we are shagged as it's been a long, long season, and crippled with injuries, but it feels like we're almost determined to bollocks it all up.
-
Moreno and chambers off. Konsa was being subbed before that goal.
already ?
-
I'm half angry and half resigned here. We've been shit but it is ridiculously obvious how hanging we are.
-
Yes he’s so crap
-
Why is Gross not getting sent off for that
-
This performance has been as bad if not worse than the Spurs 0-4. The fact that they are crap and in a terrible run of form, plus Olsen having a great game, is the only reason we haven't been hammered
-
Why is Gross not getting sent off for that
thought the same
-
It would be interesting to see if any of the Brighton players encroached into the penalty area before the ball was kicked. There was three of them waiting for the rebound.
-
It does mean we have to get something from Liverpool and palace.
-
Rubbish all day - but never a pen.
We just don't have any players left. Think we have to hope that Liverpool and Man City do us a favour.
-
Worst performance of the season bar Olsen.
-
Yes he’s so crap
Who is?
-
Anyone reckon we are over turning a 2 goal loss after this inspiring performance?
-
Just have to cheer for Liverpool and Man City
-
where was dougie again?
-
We’ve run out of energy.
-
Unfathomably pathetic performance
-
Rubbish all day - but never a pen.
We just don't have any players left. Think we have to hope that Liverpool and Man City do us a favour.
You know they won't. I can't see us getting another point on the last week's showing.
-
It does mean we have to get something from Liverpool and palace.
this team wont beat p lop
-
McGinn’s cross field pass attempt which he put out for a throw in when he had a simple pass to his left was so needless. The throw in leading up to the pen.
All of them have been poor with the exception of Olsen and maybe Cash.
-
Yes he’s so crap
Who is?
Chambers sorry it’s an in joke with someone else.
-
Just too many poor performances today.. Luiz, McGinn, Konsa, Torres and Diaby all not up for it today.
We cannot keep starting Diaby. He is void of any impact when defending and in the build up.
-
We’ve run out of energy.
Agreed. Hopefully we have just enough in the tank for Thursday but I really doubt it.
-
I know we are shagged as it's been a long, long season, and crippled with injuries, but it feels like we're almost determined to bollocks it all up.
This result has to go down as a massive Emery fuckup, the team selection is bare bones already so he decides to piss about with the formation anyway. Although when Rogers went off first half I suspect we would lose as I don't think we ever haven't when forced into a first half sub this season.
-
Utter fucking wank
-
Spurs win at anfield and it's advantage them now .
-
So can someone please tell me how that penalty situation is anything different to the first half one with Rodgers? And it's clear that Sky are fucking desperate for Spuds to get 4th - tossers!
-
If we were going for 4th against one of the other top 6/7 sides in convinced we would be caught. But as it’s Spurs they will fuck this up just enough to see us get in.
-
So can someone please tell me how that penalty situation is anything different to the first half one with Rodgers? And it's clear that Sky are fucking desperate for Spuds to get 4th - tossers!
Both of them were down to refs call and neither would be overturned by VAR no matter what unfortunately, even if given the other way.
-
Spurs win at anfield and it's advantage them now .
How is it advantage them?

exactly
emery wasnt happy with that
-
We do seem either completely knackered or have bottled it.
-
Spurs win at anfield and it's advantage them now .
How is it advantage them?
It isn't. It's Tim being a bit melodramatic.
-
mot going to score if we played to christmas 2028
-
Losing their heads cash with a stupid yellow

Best thing Ollie has done all game.
He's been anonymous
-
Spurs win at anfield and it's advantage them now .
How is it advantage them?
It will be in there hands to lose .

cash booked but not Gross 5 mins before

These media cnuts are stroking themselves for spurs to get fourth.
-
Spurs win at anfield and it's advantage them now .
How is it advantage them?

No, it won't look at the table.
-
We do seem either completely knackered or have bottled it.
Totally knackered
-
Spurs win at anfield and it's advantage them now .
How is it advantage them?
Because, being Villa fans, we see this game as our last chance to pick up any points this season, and Spurs are guaranteed 6 from Burnley and Sheff Utd.
-
Spurs win at anfield and it's advantage them now .
How is it advantage them?
It will be in there hands to lose .
No. If they win both their games in hand then they’re still 1pt behind.
-
Shocking yellow for Matty. Cheating little prick.
-
Spurs win at anfield and it's advantage them now .
How is it advantage them?
I suspect because of their two matches against Burnley and Sheffield and us not looking like winning another match this season. We have had 2 shots ALL game and allowed them 15 with 8 on target (although the pen probably counts as two).
And each match we play, we seem to lose another key player.

It’s so frustrating, we put ourselves in such a strong position this season, only for it to be falling apart in front of us. Our luck has run out
-
We do seem either completely knackered or have bottled it.
Totally knackered
Yet he gives no games time to any youngsters
Sorry unai but you gotta stop this ffs have some faith. We lost anyway so why not give kesler and kellyman some game time

It's still in our own hands.

It's still not advantage them, though, if they win today. Not mathematically.

It will be in there hands to lose .
No.
-
I don't think we'll get a point from our last 2 games. Hopefully Liverpool and Man City won't fuck us over

No, it won't look at the table.
I suppose the point is that they are pretty much guaranteed six points from two games so a win today will leave us needing two point.

The hands which gave the team in 20th position in any form table for the past two months 15 shots at our goal and we had 2. It is definitely in our hands to throw it away. Liverpool have been shit because although they create chances, they can't finish, we could easily give them 40 chances next weekend.

Mentally and momentum wise it would be . I can't see us getting any more points now .

I'm not sure Maths is someone's strong point.

I take your point but it's factually incorrect to say it's out of our hands.
-
Guys, I know what you’re saying, but if Spurs win today they do become favourites because we have to win a match or draw both which looks very unlikely, not just from today but the last three matches. We are shagged out and can hardly put a fit team out..
-
There is just no running off the ball at the moment . Is that energy , we are so passive at the moment

Honestly what bollocks. So Spurs who’ve lost their last three will get points we won’t. Ok got it
-
If spurs win today then we are fucked bwcause they will w of their last 3
Meaning we need to get something from one of our last 2

Spurs have been on a shit run of form. If that continues today we will be fine be cause they won’t beat MSN City but if not then I think we have to accept our team look fucked.
-
Spurs will beat Burnley and Sheff Utd, I reckon.
But they won't beat Liverpool or Man City.
We're going to scrape it
