Diaby makes way for Luiz to return. Just hope it is Luiz and Mcginn with Tielemans further forward.

Must be. A quick browse of one of their fora earlier, loads of them would have him in their first team at the moment.

If he weren't crocked.

Just a point and it is mathematically impossible for Manchester United to make the Champions League.
That will be the big story for the media.

Douglas Luiz is our best goal scoring midfielder in last 30 years so that's only right to start him.
What I call a must win to go 9 pts clear.
I forecast 4+ goals scored.
Best of luck to us all and going to now focus!
Up the Villa!

Thought Luiz would come in for Bailey rather than Diaby but happy with that. By starting Leon, looks like Unai wants to batter them into submission.

Nervous about this one. Dunno why.

I was nervous about Brentford, Arsenal, Lille and Bournemouth (pre game)

Biggest game at this end of the table since City in 2010 - that team was out on its feet.

Warning that . We need to step up again, been a bit wasteful with possession.

It isn't really, we play a high line on purpose, sometimes that will mean teams will get in behind and score but get flagged offside, it happens so often that all it really does is show that our gameplan is working.

What a great finish from Rodgers that was. Have we ever signed someone from the lower leagues that has improved so much in six weeks?

He plays now like he's been in the premier league for the duration Luiz and SJM have.

Quite an average performance really. Quick start and then we just sit back and give Chelsea the initiative so that second goal is a big moment for this game.

Great first half very professional - haven’t been at our best but been in control in the most part without possession, and look like well score on pretty much every break.

Lucky with there heater that hit the post.  Rogers seems to be an absolute steal - great recruitment.

Well done cash I find him really likeable but a bit limited but this has been his best half.

Just make sure we don’t have a 15 mins off after half time and we should be good.

They created loads in the 2 games we won at Stamford Bridge since 2023. Loads v Arsenal too.

No great shock, their was a physio on working with Emi when tielemans was down and they were clearly working on his hamstring. That he stayed on to halftime suggests it's nothing particularly serious but there's no point risking him if he's not 100%

As the said on comms it's no harm for Olsen to get half a game ahead of Thursday as well.

Yep, I think 1 of the problems with having a game plan as precise as ours appear to be is that if we lose players to injury it disrupts us a lot more than it should.

Over the last 6 weeks I’m not fussed whether we sell Luiz. If he can’t get motivated in the position we’re in then cash in and get two or three players in.

How?

Because they scored two legitimate goals only the same as us, but they should have been awarded all three points, an extra goal for winning possession maybe?

One theory, just before xmas 2022, he broke up with Lehman. He then puts in loads of great performances up to November-ish this year. We then start hearing they are back together......
