Just popped up on my Facebook feed that Chico Hamilton (the real one) has been diagnosed with dementia. Sad news. Stay well Chico.
-
Fight the good fight Chico. Stay as well as you possibly can.
-
Dreadful news. Let’s hope he fights it as long as possible.
-
I loved his long run ups before smashing home penalties! One of my 70's heroes. Stay strong, Chico!
-
He was there when the renaissance started: I remember him well and wish him the best.

Good player, and one who was easy to warm to. He helped us out of the old third and second divisions, and played in two league Cup finals, man of the match in the one v Spurs, despite Chivers scoring twice for them. My fondest memory of Chico is the goal he scored to put us in front in the 74/75 game v West Brom, a flying header coming in at the far post, scored at the Holte End.

A really exciting player, if admittedly in consistent.
If there was a big game coming up, you KNEW he'd play well.
Used to love his 'Chico' specials, where he'd beat the whole defence before slotting the ball home.
Really sad news, this.

Boyhood hero! I can only wish him and his family all the best
-
My first Villa hero. So sad...
-
Terrible news.
-
What a shame. Chico was a star, he had flair and swagger.
-
Go well Chico

Saw the back end of Chico’s stay with us. Him and Willie Anderson on wings, superb. When Ray Graydon replaced Chico it wasn’t quite the same. Best wishes to Chico and his family.

Hopefully he doesn't suffer too much, best wishes to him and his family.
He was a major part of our reformative years and without doubt a fan favourite.
