Welcome to GUESS THE CROWD Round 15: ASTON VILLA v Burnley FC at 3 pm on Saturday, 30th December!! 🥧
December’s crowded fixture list has produced a couple of less than helpful results but there’s still an outside mathematical chance for the Mighty VILLA to end the year as the star 🌟 on top of the 🌲!!!
Time for some focused positive vibes on Saturday. COYVB!!
Once again, we look forward to the Bonus known as...Emery’s Extras!... so let’s hope all our chaps have their scoring boots 🥾 on.
The Brucie Bonus is wild until KO, as this is a very quick Round.
Remember,
Only your first guess counts, and
Please don’t edit your post. Thanks.
Anybody can join Guess The Crowd 🥧 by guessing the crowd at VP for the match v the Clarets this Saturday and posting your Guess in here, before KO!!!👍😃

Apparently official attendance was 41999.
-
Hi Aftab, many thanks for this figure. Totally appreciate your post.
Where did you find it, please?
I ask because there’s finally a figure, and not this one, on the ‘football home attendances’ website, today!
This is developing into an issue which doesn’t reflect positively on Aston Villa online or in other media.
There was a national radio ‘guess the attendance ‘ competition between radio celebs on Sunday and it became clear that the Villa attendance wasn’t published anywhere. It sounded like our club was amateur hour, which I don’t think our owners or Unai would appreciate being a public impression of the Villa.
I’m going to call the ticket office tomorrow and ask very nicely if there are attendance figures for our last 3 home games.
Also, why they are not sharing them with the crowd at the game or the BBC, or anybody else.
What is the point of secrecy on this?
-
Not sure how it could be 41999, as there were a few hundred empty seats in the Burnley section of the upper Witton.

Well, exactly, London V. More than one figure has appeared this season that can’t be right!
Update:
I did call the club reception today, as per instructions on the home page.
They asked me to put my request in an email so that they could direct it to the right person.
I did this, including a short explanation of GTC and my experience of the change in availability of attendance figures, specifically for the most recent 3 matches, this season.
There was a swift reply ( figures unavailable because…) which has left me very puzzled, so I have followed up with supplementary questions.
I will find out more and luckily there is time to resolve this before the next GTC match, at the end of this month, so watch this space!
Divisions will be updated as soon as I get all the info through 👍

41613 on the footballwebpages site.
I think the 41999 is more likely to be correct ;-)
-
Thanks, maidstonevillain. I have seen that figure and asked if it could be confirmed. They could neither confirm nor deny, and so I have followed up. I hope to get all three figures, soon.
-
Transfermarkt also has the attendances for all games this season.
Burnley is down as 41,613 too, if that helps at all.
Not sure why the club have changed how they inform us about the attendance, was always announce with a thank you at the actual match wasn’t it.
-
I can't for the life of me understand why the club will not give attendance figures. What's wrong with announcing it at the game like they used to?
"Neither confirm nor deny". It's hardly a state secret is it?
-
The outstanding attendance figures are now on the BBC & Premier League websites.
Burnley - 41613
Sheff Utd - 41651
Arsenal - 42000
