Made his debut today, so probably deserves his own thread.
The Villa website describes him as Irish, but has an England flag on his profile, and wiki says he was born in Brum. Also plays on the left, so that means he's the next Jack Grealish obviously!
Turns 20 tomorrow.
Bio
Tommi O’Reilly joined alongside a number of new scholars in July 2020, linking up with the Under-18s squad before moving up to the Under-21s. A technical midfielder, the Irishman specialises at creating and scoring goals.
O'Reilly was named on the substitutes bench for a handful of senior games during the 2021/22 season. Subsequently, his talent saw him earn a first professional contract in March 2022.

Really exciting for him.

No opinion on whether O’Reilly, Marshall or Duran will make it but European games, especially the groups, are a huge opportunity to select such players. Their value increases and the route to the first team becomes more defined for any of the youngsters. Upward mobility all round.

Seems to be some confusion over his international eligibility. Was called up to a training camp with Irish U19s but then it turned out he wasn't eligible after all? Can't find anything more than that on him.
-
Playing for the U21s tonight. Which is a bit mad.

Signed a new contract today.

Good news. A very talented player.
I'm surprised he hasn't been out on loan, after all, he is twenty. Perhaps the new deal will facilitate this?
-
Surely got to go out on loan, he’s 2 days younger than Duran who has moved countries twice already :-)
-
He has been recalled from Shrewsbury Town and will now go on loan to MK Dons. https://x.com/academyavfc/status/1879940870251958527

Is he ever coming back?
Come back Tom O'Reilly, to Ballyjamesduff
