Welcome to GUESS THE CROWD Round 12; ASTON VILLA v Manchester City at 8.15 pm, on Wednesday, 6th December!!🥧
It’s getting quite exciting. December has a crowded fixture list and there’s a lot of scope for the Mighty VILLA to end the year as the star 🌟 on top of the 🌲!!!
On Wednesday, 4th plays 3rd with only 1 point in it. Winning would move us up to second. COYVB!!!
Once again, we look forward to the Bonus known as...Emery’s Extras!... so let’s hope all our chaps have their scoring boots 🥾 on.
The Brucie Bonus is wild until KO, as this is a very quick Round.
Remember,
Only your first guess counts, and

Well played, Villa Lew and Legion 👍👏🥂
Congrats to eamonn, who got the benefit from Emery’s Extras this round.
It looks as if we all underestimated the draw of MC on a cold Thursday night at VP. A very old record was equalled by a fab performance by the Villa Boys, i.e. 14 consecutive wins at home.
Here’s looking at Unai and the lads to break it, tomorrow 🤞
Round 13 is up and running in Heroes Discussion right now. If you haven’t guessed yet, get in there!

The Arsenal match programme stated 42,789 as the attendance against Man City.

Seems an overestimate. Most websites show capacity as between 42640 and 42679.

Thanks very much for this query, Charlie8182 and nordenvillain, much appreciated.
The capacity of Villa Park is 42,657, according to the FA Handbook for 2023, which is the figure quoted in the OP for the Rules and Divisions thread.
The rules state that the BBC figure is the one that I use to allocate points.
Unfortunately, this BBC figure has been late (by several days) this season, more than once.
There is still no BBC figure published for Villa v Manc City on the match report page.
When this happens I go to the website linked above, which gives Villa home crowds, usually within 24/48 hours.
As the figure quoted in your programme is more than the capacity, Charlie, I suggest that nordenvillain may be correct re the overestimation of the crowd!
I hope this has cleared up the issue you have raised. Thanks.
