I have no idea what dirt Bailey has on Emery, but I am disappointed to see his name again.
Oh well, he owes us a performance today.
-
Bailey.Come on Unai, you're better than this
-
Need our midfield to step up for this.
As for seeing Bailey again, you're right Chris. He owes us a performance.
-
Bert and Jhon on the bench
-
10 v 11 again.
-
Come on Villa massive step up please. Will be tricky as they have Calvert-Lewin back.
-
At the risk of sounding like Flin, it does look a bit saft having 2 different badges on the graphic.
-
Bailey starts again. FFS.
-
I hope Nicolo Zaniolo is Bailey's replacement on the longer term. Hope for the best.
-
Basatard sky. Why is the coverage from wet spam's ground and not Villa Park??
-
Bailey again? FFS.
-
That is one weak as piss bench.
-
That's one of the best benches we've had for a while.
-
Basatard sky. Why is the coverage from wet spam's ground and not Villa Park??
They have the coverage from the 4:30 games ground every Sunday. I know we like to think the media have some sort of agenda against us but the explanation is that simple.
-
Is Zaniolo injured already?
-
The CB pairing is a worry against Calvert-Lewin. Can see them being a bit bullied
-
Is Zaniolo injured already?
He hasn't got a work permit so even if he is fit he couldn't have played today.
-
I'm glad the transfer window is still open because we still need two or three players. Will be really glad to get Ramsey and Moreno and Zaniolo in the squad too. I'm nervous about today.
-
I shouldn't laugh but seeing Bailey start again is funny.
-
Bailey ffs.
-
Thought the days of 2 goalkeepers on the bench would have been over this season.
-
This has to be done sort of redemption opportunity for Bailey. This game needs us to control play and that for me is Tielemans all day long supporting the front players. Anyway…hoping he has one of his better games
-
That's one of the best benches we've had for a while.
It’s nowhere near as good as last week.
-
McGinn on on the left again. Doesn’t work. And where’s Philogene?
-
They really love chelsea don't they?
-
I hope Ashley Young gets a nice round of applause and then gets left on his arse several times by Diaby
-
Bailey will do well.
-
Bailey. Why?
-
Bert and Jhon on the bench
Good to have them back involved.
Not happy with that team selection..that back 4 won't win a tackle or header between them and selecting Bailey and Diaby once again leaves us light in midfield. Everton team, very limited as they are, look set for a physical battle and we seem anything but.
-
Bailey. Why?
All managers have a favourite.
-
Come on you Villa Boys! Nobody get injured. Funeral time for Everton.
Bailey: sort your shit out and assist, score and beat men!
The rest of you: play like Lions and win the fucking game! It's not much to ask, is it?
-
Bailey will do well.
He generally has 1 good game in 8 with the other 7 being absolute stinkers. Let's hope today is the 1
-
If the person who handed my brother’s wallet with his ticket in at Aston Station is on here, then massive thanks. He’s picked it up and is now about to get into the ground. Hopefully that’s not all his luck used up for today. He’s usually a massive Jonah.
-
I wonder where is Philogene-Bidace is?
-

Good stuff, great to hear!
-
Surprised Bailey got the nod ahead of Tielemans.
-
Oh of course, we don't get to face the sad excuse for a striker that is Neal Maupay, oh no.
Calvert "broken arms and legs against every other team" Lewin is magically fit to play against us.
-
Hopefully there will be some good karma for the person that handed it in.
-
Bailey is useful in us attacking i think but you cant depend on him defensively so if we are not solid on RB there will be trouble again defensively on our right side IMO.
-
Bailey did score a cracker against Everton and then was injured for ages , can be the only reason.
-
Oh of course, we don't get to face the sad excuse for a striker that is Neal Maupay, oh no.
Calvert "broken arms and legs against every other team" Lewin is magically fit to play against us.
still could be a risk to rush him 'hopefully'
-
Is Zaniolo injured already?
Yep, bought him pre-injured as part of the new efficiency drive under Monchi/Heck.
-
do think Philligane would have started this instead of Bailey if had been fit or not sold to Chelsea
-

Yes let’s hope he’s well off his game, because he can cause plenty of problems.

I have a feeling we're either going to be really good and win well, or will be shit. One extreme or the other.

Yeah this definitely won't be a meh day, it will be an extreme.

This injured player support thing is becoming a weekly tradition
-
I have a feeling we're either going to be really good and win well, or will be shit. One extreme or the other.
Was thinking the same, we'll either hammer them or it'll be a dour, hard to watch 0-0 or 1-0.

Konsa don’t point when you’re going to pass to Kamara it’s a bit of a tell.
-
I like the home keeper kit, Emi looks good in black.
Black.
Black.
Black like your soul. Can you see them mother, can you see the devils.

-
Konsa don’t point when you’re going to pass to Kamara it’s a bit of a tell.
It may be just a tribute to Tyrone.
-
Looks like we've ditched the high back line.
-
Bit disjointed at the moment.
-
and lewin is down
-
Calvert-Lewin down injured. Who had 10 mins in the sweepstake?
-
That was pretty nasty.
-
That should be a booking, if you were that late challenging with your feet it's a yellow and given it's head-to-head contact it's just as serious as studs to a foot.
-
Bailey oh dear
-
Well done Bailey! You useless lump.
-
Doug booked
-
From the Beeb's live reporting.
"Villa Park is one of my favourite grounds for atmosphere and their first home game of the season sees the players walk out to huge noise."
"This is a tremendous ground and the atmosphere is bouncing for the first home game of the season. Unai Emery, who has done a remarkable job since replacing Steven Gerrard, is being serenaded by the home faithful."
Must be part of that anti-Villa agenda the media have. ;)
-
They have been hacked.
-
And again. Trips over the ball this time.
Jesus Christ.
-
I'm already done with Bailey today. Get him off
-
Poor start. Very bitty at the moment
-
That's a really soft yellow for Doug, I just don't see how that is worse that DCL going head first into Emi.
-
Also, it sounds fairly quiet on my stream. Still, at least we're not hearing "Every week we drone on..."
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Not overly impressed so far. Look like a team trying to gain some confidence after last week.
-
Yay. Who?
-
bailey assist mcginn goal diaby great
-
Good goal.
-
There'd already been 3 goals by this point in the last game.
-
Nice goal
-
GETTTT INNNN!!!!
MEATBALL!!
-
Great by Bailey.
-
Bailey there you go!
-
Bailey did well for it
-
Get in!! We've got McGinn...
-
Yessssssss!
Brilliant from Bailey. Never doubted him!
-
Always rated him.
-
Oh Bailey I love you
-
Bailey's done Youngy there.
-
It’s a brilliant step and cross from Bailey. Diaby great in build up too.
-
Fucking yes!
-
Have that.
-
Good goal, brilliant from Doug in the build-up, drew in 3-4 on them and then we exploited the space.
-
If we could play Everton every week we'd win the league and Bailey the Ballon d'Or.
-
Better from Bailey too
-
Whenever Bailey takes the ball on the outside instead of cutting in he always makes something happen.
-
Fair play to Bailey, great work for the goal.
-
Already noticed Pau is instructing a fair bit.
-
Good work Bailey! You are now ace!
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
-
Mcginn looks like he's been swimming in his shirt
-
penalty
-
Scrub that, it's a penalty
-
Loving the SCORRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOs today.
-
Definite pen.
-
Who’s going to take it?
Where’s Barry when you need him?
-
T-Rex boy booked
-
Surely that's a card for Pickford
-
Taker?
-
Now it's a SCORRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Yay. Who?
-
YESSSS!!!!!
Great pen Dougy.
-
Douggggie!
-
DCL about to go off?
-
Cracking pen from Dougie
-
Goooooooooool. 2-0. Penalty scored by Luiz.
-
Yesssssssssss!
That's how you take a pen, cracking stuff Dougie.
-
Luiz is the PK taker now?
-
Excellent penalty, no keeper in the world saves that.
-
Doug looked mean for that one.
-
Luiz on pens full time now hopefully.
-
Superb penalty by Dougie.
-
Nearly 3.
And well done to both sets of fans.
-
Now it's a SCORRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
6 (SIX) minutes between that post and me seeing it on my stream.
-
Well done Villa fans class
-
Pickford touching the crossbar before the penalty. Isn't that against the rules now.
-
Up to 11th.
-
Was there any discussion about who'd take it or does it look like it's been decided off the pitch that Luiz takes them now?
-
1-0 https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1693251754522030280
2-0 https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1693253577748213868
-
Diaby should score.
-
Lovely move. Should have been three.
Mcginn excellent.
-
Bailey excellent again there.
-
Watching it again Pickford is lucky Watkins ducked away because he could easily have punched him in the face nowhere near the ball.
-
What a great game Bailey is having making goalscoring opportunities one after another
-
Bailey excellent again there.
He needs something to go for him early and it's like he suddenly realises he's a good player.
-
What a great game Bailey is having making goalscoring opportunities one after another
maybe its because he use of playing with DRB
-
Clinton Morrison on the BBC website match commentary:
It could be a long afternoon for Everton.
Some of their defending has not been good enough - Villa have been rampant.
Like the lion.
-
Diaby hits the post with a volley, great save as well. Great from SJM.
-
what a move
-
We should be looking to wipe out the goal difference today.
-
So unlucky
-
That’s a fantastic save By JP from Diaby….lovely turn by McGinn in the build up
-
Brilliant effort from Diaby, great save and a great cross from Digne.
-
Calvert-Lewin down again.
-
We look ace so far
-
could be 6 today the way this team is playing . love the DRB and Bailey link up. Zaniolo to come oh my
-
We’ve been very good. My one concern is a second yellow for Doug or Digne.
-
Calvert-Lewin down again.
He's got Kool and the Gang on his airpods.
-
Diaby shot https://twitter.com/FNTVUK/status/1693256055566790796
-
How the fuck is he still on? And how the fuck did they think that he was okay to continue? He’s got a Broken Face. Uhahuha oo.
-
Calvert-Lewin doesn’t look great there.
-
Another good cross from Digne.
-
digne has been excellent as well as SJM wow
-
He looks dazed and confused. Needs to come off.
-
Calvert-Lewin doesn’t look great there.
Feel sorry for him. Looks like it could be a broken cheekbone.
-
torres probbaly should be scoring that
-
Digne’s crossing has been outstanding. Should have scored again.
-
Calvert-Lewin doesn’t look great there.
Feel sorry for him. Looks like it could be a broken cheekbone.
Yeah ridiculous he stayed on as long as he did.
-
Ollie's attempt and goalpost collision:
-
9 mins added time
-
Digne has been superb.
-
Good save Emi.
-
The away fans are even more whiny than your average high-pitched Evertonian.
-
9minutes, about 6 of which are the DCL tax, I wonder how long he'll be out for this time.
-
Got a bit sloppy here.
-
They are starting to get a bit of joy around Digne here.
-
Can see why Everton will be in the relegation scrap again.
-
9minutes, about 6 of which are the DCL tax, I wonder how long he'll be out for this time.
Broken cheek bone must be a tough one. If that's what it is.
-
English football: Once again trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist.
No set of fans I spoke to last season felt they were being consistently done out of injury time.
9 minutes is funny farm stuff.
We might even benefit from this today. But ultimately it's been brought in to benefit the squads with the biggest squads and deepest pockets, same as the five subs rule.
-
Digne has put some lovely crosses in this half
-
Digne is having an absolute field day today.
-
Another great cross by Digne.

Not in the slightest, DCL was down 3 times for treatment before he went off and Pickford was booked for time wasting at the penalty, even without any changes I reckon you'd have been looking at 8-9 minutes today.
-
The only disappointment has been not scoring more than 2.
-
excellent first half
easy
some great performances
-
The only disappointment has been not scoring more than 2.
Yeah, 3 points is 3 points but it's a great opportunity to cancel out that goal difference from last week.
-
The simple solution for players who dislike the amount of time added on is to not waste time. Its good that they are finally clamping down on it, and if they have to go slightly overboard initially to prove the point then so be it.
-
Completely dominant. Should be more in front. But excellent.
-
I find it frustrating that the punishment for a little shirt pull (both of ours) is exactly the same as a filthy tackle like that from Gueye.
-
Very impressive half of football. Should be 4 or 5 but that's the only gripe. SJM has been everywhere
-

Yes, when you get injured, quickly hobble off the field like a man. No more of this writhing in pain nonsense! :)
-
Pickford lucky to still be on. Should have been booked for the foul as well.
-
These new shirts are crap. Soaking wet inside the first 20 minutes. Must be difficult to play in them.
-
Total dominance. Only complaint is that we aren't 5 up.
-
I reckon a red card in the second half would be worth a bet.
-
I find it frustrating that the punishment for a little shirt pull (both of ours) is exactly the same as a filthy tackle like that from Gueye.
And there’s to be fair.
-
I find it frustrating that the punishment for a little shirt pull (both of ours) is exactly the same as a filthy tackle like that from Gueye.
Need to bring in the black card.
-
So are we going to carry on in the second half and get a handsome win, or will there be an early Everton goal after the break and nerves start jangling?
-
We're just better than them all over the pitch.
Only massive complacency can stop us winning this game comfortably.
Have to say this is great from Digne if it's a farewell performance, spectacular crossing.
-
I reckon a red card in the second half would be worth a bet.
Yeah my only worry is whether it’s Digne or Doug.
-
Not bad, not bad at all. We look comfortable all over the pitch.
-

Have to say this is great from Digne if it's a farewell performance, spectacular crossing.
Why would it be a farewell performance?
-
Acuña's probably watching this and thinking he'll have a field day if he joins.
-
I like supporting a team where we can be 2 up at home at half time against a similar sized club, and to feel a bit disappointed at that...

Why would it be a farewell performance?
We want Acuna and strong links to Saudi Arabia.
I think he's been largely decent under UE but ultimately it's an opportunity to get his ridiculous wages off the books in next month.
-
I like supporting a team where we can be 2 up at home at half time against a similar sized club, and to feel a bit disappointed at that...
Depends on your definition of size, I suppose. Everton have been circling the relegation drain for a while now.

Depends on your definition of size, I suppose. Everton have been circling the relegation drain for a while now.
They're exactly like we were under Lambert a decade ago.
Run around a bit but no belief they can score whatsoever and just have a look of lower league team playing in prem nowadays that can just about scrape 16th or 17th.
They probably do need relegation to reset like ourselves and a few others have done.
-
I reckon a red card in the second half would be worth a bet.
Yeah my only worry is whether it’s Digne or Doug.
Get the third and we can take them both off. Thought we were poor to start with until McGinn's goal. But we should be even further in front. McGinn and Luiz outstanding in the middle and Digne having a field day. Credit to Bailey for his involvement in both goals. Watkins been disappointing, get the third and wouldn't mind seeing Archer getting a decent run. Everton there to be funeralled
-
Pickford lucky to still be on. Should have been booked for the foul as well.
agree
and touching the bar?
-
Digne has had a good half, playing for a contract somewhere! We look comfortable but the third changes things. We need to make sure that we get it. Erm, Bailey has done ok too.
-
Great first half and fair play to Bailey - two assists and I'm pleased to be eating humble pie right now.
McGinn has been excellent.
Digne's been putting some great crosses in, I'd just like to have seen us more than two up if I'm being pcky.
-
Great first-half, though we need another to put it to bed.
The last few minutes I could only hear Emery shouting it was so quiet at VP on the tv. Maybe they have the crowd mics turned down ?
-
Archer, Tielemans, Cout, Bert....loads of options to put on when Everton take a few of their endless CMs off and try to get forward and leave more space.
Diaby's going to be a gamechanger for us, we've lacked a forward for so long who can play effectively in the space between midfield and defence.
-
Digne has had a good half, playing for a contract somewhere! We look comfortable but the third changes things. We need to make sure that we get it. Erm, Bailey has done ok too.
Bailey has been very good. He set up a goal and had Diaby taken his chance would have played a key role in another.
-
I used to think that Douglas Luiz was poor. These days, he's one of the first players I look for on the team sheet.
-
Great first-half, though we need another to put it to bed.

Atmosphere has been a bit flat. Think it's inevitable given last week's result and Sunday 2pm being a flat kick off time for atmosphere.
-
I've enjoyed watching how we've constantly pulled their defence in and out, mainly with Bailey and Digne. It's stopped them settling and compressing the game, which is what I assume Dyche would like to do.
-
I reckon a red card in the second half would be worth a bet.

Agreed. Time to use the squad and give some players a bit of time and use the squad.
-
Would love to see Cam get a run-out but Emery will probably opt for Duran instead.
-
Coutinho hat trick in the last 20 minutes.
-
Iwobi looks done for.
-
Digne has had a good half, playing for a contract somewhere! We look comfortable but the third changes things. We need to make sure that we get it. Erm, Bailey has done ok too.

created the pen too with header
-
Maupay on.
-
SCOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Baileyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
-
Bailey!!!!!
-
Get in!
-
even bailey scores
well done lad
-
BAILEY!!!
Never doubted him, ahem.
-
Bailey! I said he’d have a good day.
-
I shouldn't laugh but seeing Bailey start again is funny.
Even funnier now.
-
A McPhee special!
-
Well done , Leon!
-
Yesssssssssss!
Wow, great stuff from Bailey. Well done lad!
-
Really good football leading to the Kamara shot and then kept them pinned in to get the goal, we won't have an easier game than this all season.
-
Coutinho hat trick in the last 20 minutes.
he would have a field day against these
-
Bailey! 3-0. Get in!
-
One more to sort out that GD from last week in one game. Let's do that.
-
We've been good but it has to be said that Everton are utter shite.
-
2 more at least please Villa, these lot are shit.
-
Lovely.
-
Get Cam on
-
watkins wake up son
-
Close to a 4th
-
Diaby is some player.
-
3-0 https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1693267232795570541
-
Great stuff from Diaby, shame Ollie couldn't finish it.
-
One more and we jump over Manure, but put Everton below Wolves.....
-
Brilliant play again for the Watkins chance, We've been really good today.
-
Beeb
Eight minutes into the second half and some Everton fans are leaving.
Who can blame them?
-
Villa park is a fortess again
-
Exactly the sort of game we should give Archer 30 mins
-
Would love to see Cam get a run-out but Emery will probably opt for Duran instead.
Ha! You're probably right. I think Emery will keep Watkins on until he scores which doesn't look like happening today.
-
Emi saves from Maupay
-
world class goalie too
-
Fabulous save by Emi.
-
coutnio archer carlos
-
Great save Emi - why is no one marking Maupay. Wake up Villa.
-
world class goalie too
Yep, hardly had a thing to do all game, but when he's needed at last he's ready. Not switched off at all
-
maybe tielmans
-
Great save by Emi…..Couts, Tielimans & Carlos coming on
-
please no injury leon
-
Bailey down
-
pen>>??
-
Case for a pen there surely?
-
Tielemans on
-
love to have see DRB and Phil to be fair together
-
Well played Leon.
-
When you see those three coming on you realise we are no longer shopping at Asda
-
We going three at the back or is Torres moving forwards into midfield?
-
This is the poorest Everton team I've ever seen. Even worse than some of the early 90s teams
-
Diaby, Luiz, Bailey off, Cout, Tielemans and Carlos on
-
I want at least one more for GD
-
Have we gone, gulp, three at the back?
-
Carlos?? who said hes gone shit
brilliant
-
It would be unfair to Archer but it feels like we could probably get a small fortune for him from someone like Everton. They're desperate upfront.
-
great game villa today
but watkins , would like a DRB level up front to upgrade him , maybe next season
-
As much as I love Ollie it’s becoming clear he’s just not quite good enough for this team
-
3-0 up at home, surely perfect for Cam to come on?
-
Digne has just told the bench he’s knackered.
-
Chelsea have spent a fortune and this is their starting 11. How may would you want in place of our starting 11?

great game villa today

Who is DRB?
-
Duran on for Ollie.
-
Watkins isn't the most natural footballer is he
-
great game villa today
but watkins , would like a DRB level up front to upgrade him , maybe next season
Who is DRB?
Diaby, he's doing a really annoying phonetic thing that I really hope doesn't catch on.
-
great game villa today

Who is DRB?
A Cornwall accent saying Diaby, I think.
-
FOURCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Duran
-
I thought it was short for decent right back.
-
Duran Duran lol
-
What a great debut - Duran!!
-
Ha ha ha Jesus Christ, Ashley.
-
asley young assist
-
As much as I love Ollie it’s becoming clear he’s just not quite good enough for this team
He can be quite frustrating at times. Still, there aren't too many better strikers around to be had. Bit of a dearth recently.
-
JHON!!!!!!!
-
4-0
-
I’m confused, where is Konsa playing
-
Big Jhon!
-

He’s been very decent today though and we play well when he plays well.
-
Fantastic assist from Ashley Young.....
-
Agent Young's done a fine job today.
-
1 more and we're back to 0 on the goal difference
Scratch that, table hadn't updated
-
Get in Duran
-
Duran Duran
-
Nice assist from Ash
-
Ha ha ha Jesus Christ, Ashley.
At fault for our first as well. On this showing i can see why Emery decided to let him go.
-
Those socks on Duran though 😳
-
1 more and we're back to 0 on the goal difference
Assuming you posted this before we made it 4-0

1 more and we're back to 0 on the goal difference
Not sure if you posted this before the goal but we now are on 0 GD
-
Cam off then.
-
I’m confused, where is Konsa playing
Right back.

4-0 https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1693272656257126888
-
Thought he'd shanked it with the first touch but decent finish.
-
Have to say Digne has been great today
-
Andy Hinchcliffe’s seething. Most amusing.
-
Start Duran against Hibs, I guess?
-
FOURCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Duran
What will it be for 5?😁
-
Love that from Coutinho. I hope he stays as he's going to be brilliant in Europe.
-
Start Duran against Hibs, I guess?
God, no.
-
Great reaction today. Very impressive performance
-
Coutinho down.
-
Playing Everton at home reminds me of The Simpsons:
"But it was a competition for children!"
"Yeah, and Homer beat their brains out!"
-
Phil injured
-
Coutinho just can’t get healthy
-
Coutinho injured after a shove.
-
Twiglet-legs strikes again.
-
Chambers coming in with instructions at 82mins ?!?
-
That’ll be Phil not being sold this window…
-
Fucking hell another one.
-
That’ll be Phil not being sold this window…
He's faking because he wants to stay.
-
Archer on for Coutinho
-
Got to feel for the bloke being that fragile when you're that talented.
-
That looks like hamstring
-
Ffs
I’m going to guess hamstring 😫
-
Dyche covering his mouth while talking to his coaches - like anyone gives a shit what he's saying.
-
Fuck it, Coutinho was having a great little cameo as well, hopefully it's nothing serious.
-

Fucking hell
-
That looks like hamstring
in a way im hoping with these bloody ACL's
-
coutinho is finished. i dont think we will see him in a villa shirt again
-
Seriously? Another fucking bad injury?
-
Fuck it, Coutinho was having a great little cameo as well, hopefully it's nothing serious.
Just a minor tweak. He'll be back by April.
-

Ha ha, It’s the same as Bruce trying to hide his tactical ideas.
-
great game villa today
but watkins , would like a DRB level up front to upgrade him , maybe next season
Who is DRB?
Been pondering that one myself but can't work it out for the life of me.
-
Absolutely gutted now. That's it for him isn't it? Just gutted ffs.
-
Got to feel for the bloke being that fragile when you're that talented.
Indeed.
-
From BBC
Aston Villa 4-0 Everton
Jhon Duran scored only 50 seconds after being substituted on, the quickest an Aston Villa substitute has scored in a Premier League match since John Carew against Everton in October 2009 (46 seconds).
-
Cam off then.
Cam on then.
-
Coutinho just picks up too many tweaks I'm afraid.
Lovely little cameo but his quick feet and turns just lets to muscle injuries seemingly.
Important we give Archer some minutes given we're running out of left sided attackers.
-

2026
-
Well we can’t rely on Coutinho to fill the massive gap Emi has left.
-
At this rate after 25 or so games, losing a player per game we won’t have a squad
-
It would be nice to get a 5th here…
-
No t-shirts with coutinho on before the next game please.
-
Would love to see Cam get the fifth
-
Well we can’t rely on Coutinho to fill the massive gap Emi has left.
Zaniolo will surely go that side.
-
Archer booked.
-
Can't they get a stretcher for Phil? Why make him hobble round the pitch?
-
Would love to see Cam get the fifth
Yes.
-
If that is long term for Coutinho, or even medium term, it basically cancels out 3 of our 4 signings, numbers wise. We'll have to recall Sinisalo so we can have 3 keepers on the bench next week.
-
Think Coutinho got kneed in the thigh so maybe just a dead leg?
-
Archer booked.
What for?
-
When did we last win 5-0 in a prem home game?
Will be 6-7 minutes stoppage time at least.
-
9 mins added, again.
-
Kamara has been great today too
-

Maybe they are protecting him for a sale and it’s only a twinge
-
9 minutes ha.
That really stings if you've come as an away fan to watch this.
Can't blame any Evertonian getting back on the M6 sharpish. We've been there (15/16 at Goodison).
They're basically that level now.
-
Think Coutinho got kneed in the thigh so maybe just a dead leg?
No looked like he jarred his knee and overstretched his hamstring. He'll be out for a while.
-
Where are they getting these extra minutes from?
-
Think Coutinho got kneed in the thigh so maybe just a dead leg?
They wouldn't be worried about how to get him to the tunnel if it was just a dead leg.
-
It would be nice to get a 5th here…
Goal or season-ending injury?

Or just protecting him.
-
Phil injured maybe another signing to come .
not much luck lately
-

Goals, Coutinho injury.
-
Archer booked.
What for?
Looked like holding/obstruction
-

Yep, hopefully it's not as much of a tweak as it looks and he's just missing until after the internationals.
-
Archer booked.
Just got the Pravda notification for this.
-
Where are they getting these extra minutes from?
Iwobi was down for a few minutes early on in the half. Also adding time for the goal celebrations.
I hope this excessive time calms down in about a month, 9 minutes for a 4-0 win is ridiculous overkill.
-
When did we last win 5-0 in a prem home game?
Will be 6-7 minutes stoppage time at least.
Wimbledon? Christmas 1996

Sometimes watch that match on the Villaboy YT channel. We had three legitimate goals ruled out for incorrect offside calls aswell.
Wimbledon were on a 15 match unbeaten run at the time aswell.

Sure we beat Bolton at home 5-0 under MON.

Ah yes, I enjoyed that one. "Merry Christmas, Wimbledon"

Was 5-1 I think.
That amazing Megson tactic of playing a high line v Gabby and Young.

4-0
-
We beat Derby 6-0 and Blues 5-1 back to back under MoN but I can't think of a 5-0.
-
A lot of Villa have 'beaten the traffic'.
-
well played lads
good afternoon . more alcohol I feel

Yeah, that was deffo Hull, I had my Hull supporting brother in law sat next to me in the Trinity, undercover, and his face when that happened shall remain one of my funniest football moments for a long time yet.
-
Duran the daddy
Although I note he wears his socks ridiculously long and above his knees, in the style of a teenage girl.
-
That'l do very nicely. Great performance and although Everton were shite, you can only beat what's put in front of you.
Special well done to McGinn, Bailey and Luiz who were all outstanding I thought.
And we wiped out the goal difference from last week. Lovely jubbly!
-
We beat Liverpool 5-0, albeit in the cup
-
I remember us beating Hull 5-0 at home once although I think that was before football was invented
-
Himchcliffe just said Carlos looks like a wardrobe with a Villa shirt on
Our teacher's a wardrobe
