No Phil?
-
ignore. He’s not showing on the Sky line up
-
No Duran?
Yes Duran
-
No Phil?
Someone in his thread said that someone itk said he was injured.
-
Duran is indeed in the squad again. sky sports app didn’t have him in there initially.
-
Coutinho injures I take it? That’s bloody annoying just as he was hitting some good form.
-
Bailey really needs to produce something today. UTV
-
Must be an injury. Not on the bench.
-
Duran is indeed in the squad again. sky sports app didn’t have him in there initially.
Didn't that happen last week as well?
-
Come on you Villa Boys! FTF!
-
That Everton team looks poor on paper. Bailey needs a good game.
-
That Everton team looks poor on paper. Bailey needs a good game.
Lacking quality but it looks hard to beat to me. They’ll be physical and we can’t afford to be bullied.
-
Two sodding keepers on the bench again. Mental.
-
I think we have seen the last of Olsen.
Strange to drop Buendia but maybe a more hard working midfield is though as being more appropriate
If we stand up to the physical challenge ten we should have enough. We need to score first as I don't see them having many goals in them
-
Two sodding keepers on the bench again. Mental.
I feel safe now.
-
Ramsey and Bailey shouldn't be starting.
Maupay for them - urgh
-
You know what you get with a Dyche side. Weak on flicks, strong on dirty tricks.
-
Thank Christ are able to select two backup goalies again. My heart stopped every time Emi feigned injury last week know we only had 1 replacement!
-

Lacking quality but it looks hard to beat to me. They’ll be physical and we can’t afford to be bullied.
Agree. It will be a tough battle, but cut out the silly mistakes and we should really be beating this lot today (or at least not losing).
-
Neal Maupay has scored once in the last 27 league games... We know what happens when the Villa roll into town. Pile on your money now.
-
Not happy about Buendia being dropped and Traore not starting. Very negative team.
-
4-2-2-2 to choke their narrow defensive block and allow for overloads at full back?
-
Big blow about Phil, has been in top form recently, expecting a low scoring game going 1-1.
-
Maybe there’s a new rule that says you can play at least 2 goalkeepers at the same time?
-
Yeah I'm not expecting to be thrilled by this one.
-
McGinn and Ramsey out wide? We desperately need some proper wingers.
-
Not happy about Buendia being dropped and Traore not starting. Very negative team.
Yes I thought the same initially but when you analyse Dyche teams with physicality and set pieces I can understand why Buendia wouldn’t start today .
I think it’s quite refreshing that he picks teams to suit opposition and tactics not just those in form for the sake of it
-

They've got his name down as Palacios.

Emery appears to have a strategy in place to deal with Everton's three midfielders, We have Ramsey McGinn, Luiz, and Kamara ready to combat.
Ref Antony Taylor hasn't given a penalty to Villa in ten years.
He also allowed Manchester United to repeatedly kick Bailey and Ramsey during our victory at Villa Park.
I'm especially worried about Bailey getting injured.
Despite the likely rough treatment, Ramsey is going to score today in my opinion.
I'm praying for Digne and Cash because they were attacked with objects thrown at them here last season and had to provide incident reports so that an arrest could be made and charges could be filed against the scoundrel who was a so-called football fan and season ticket holder. I hope they are not targeted again today.
Up The Villa.

It's not that refreshing he keeps picking people in no form whatsoever like Bailey and Ramsey though. If you're talking about lack of physicality, Bailey is head and shoulders the weakest player we have, he couldn't tackle a two course dinner. Buendia, although small, at least attempts to put himself about.

It's the Villa manager disease - just keep picking players who aren't producing the goods. It's no wonder we never finish any higher than mid table.
Hope I'm proved wrong though, and Bailey and Ramsey have absolute stormers

Me too. I have severe doubts though, but we'll see.
-
If we could put the team out our managers see in training, we'd be champions of the universe.

Exactly those two goalkeepers must be doing well to be picked on the bench every week.

The others on the bench are players that we've all repeatedly claimed aren't upto it aswell so whats the alternative? I suppose he could try Traore, he's turned into a much better player since being away.

We should have bought some better players in January! :D

Going wild swimming please help
-
Not happy about Buendia being dropped and Traore not starting. Very negative team.
Its the right team for me. I would of had Coutinho for Bailey but obviously Phils injured. We need some competitiveness in the middle and unfortunately as much as i really like him, apart from Leicester, Emi B hasn’t had a good game for ages and with Dyches teams, he’ll spend more time waving his arms about.
-
4-2-2-2 to choke their narrow defensive block and allow for overloads at full back?
I think Luiz will be given a bit more licence to break forward today. I like the look of our midfield for a game like this. Huge game for Ramsey but I think in off the left should suit him. Needs to get up in support of Watkins. Bailey ahead of Buendia is definitely a surprise and likely we will be a bit predictable as a result. Digne starting over Moreno is a surprise but another option to change things if needs be.
Looking at their line up this isn't going to be a classic. We'll do it, 0-1.
-
Any small rivers would be appreciated thanks

Unfortunately, I worry about the bully boy tactics on Bailey whenever he plays and if he is not careful, he may be injured. However, he has the speed and quality to score, assist, or win a penalty or free kick, so lets remain optimistic...
At least until the game begins!
-
I’ve got a good feeling about today.

I’ve got a good feeling about today.
Oh bollocks

If anyone has any trickles of water I'd be grateful.

Villa TV showing the match.

Doug down injured

Doug down injured
We haven't kicked off yet on my stream!
-
Yellow for Onanism for foul on Luiz.
-
I can't believe how route one Everton are. It's quite unusual these days.
-
This fucking about at the back. Dismal.
-
If anyone has any trickles of water I'd be grateful.

Twitter. At EPØ72
Slight delay.
-
Good to see Taylor brandishing cards early to Everton.
-
First chance for Everton, should have scored. Konsa dismal.
-
Decent from Ollie
-
Great ball from Kamara to Watkins, good save by Pickford.
-
Watkins close
Great ball to him
-
Good pressure Villa.
-
Not a pen then
-
Dreadful ball from Ramsey.
-
Villa on top
-
We're looking alright.
-
Why not a penalty when you fly in and chop the striker down?
-
Great play Cash, beat two players and excellent ball in. Lovely.
-
Onana a certainty to be sent off at some point
-
Shit from Digne
-
Not a pen then
Can’t believe there was no VAR check on that!
-
Book him again ref ???
-
rivers please if anyone has - I can't access villa tv as I keep getting an error when trying to pay
-
All that waiting for that. Jesus Christ, Digne.
-
Everton fans .. twats
-
Tech Tip: I've just found out that my Smart TV has built-in Chromecast. Prior to this, I would connect my laptop to the TV via HDMI cable and this would lead to annoying popping and clicking noises on the audio. Today I am using the "Cast" function in Chrome to send the picture wirelessly. No audio pops or clicks. Ace!
-
Fucking hell Bailey, awful.
-
Why not a penalty when you fly in and chop the striker down?
Exactly the same situation that Arsenal got awarded one against City.
-
I had no idea McNeil was now at Everton.
-
Thought this would be on WM but no, the blue scum are for that mighty game against Luton.
-
Please take Konsa off
-
Everton fan are surely the whiniest bunch out there.
-
Everton supporters are so cringey. One team plays football, the other plays with dinosaurs.
-
I just tried to catch up. This thread is brilliant, I can't work out if we're standard shit or doing ok haha
-
I had no idea McNeil was now at Everton.
Sort of mundane, jobbing winger that Martin O’Neill would have paid £20m for 15 years ago
-
Thought this would be on WM but no, the blue scum are for that mighty game against Luton.
The rags are on DAB/Freeview. Our game is probably on FM.
-
I just tried to catch up. This thread is brilliant, I can't work out if we're standard shit or doing ok haha
We’ve been the better team so far, but still the usual frustrations from players giving the ball away needlessly.
-
Cash hasn't stopped any of his crosses yet though.
-
Why do we make being the better team seem like such a chore?
-
Everton are deliberately leaving their foot in on these challenges
-
We play some nice stuff at times.
-
Thought this would be on WM but no, the blue scum are for that mighty game against Luton.

It is: am listening to it, nervous as a kitten after 3 straight defeats...

-

Desperate and delusional.
-
I had no idea McNeil was now at Everton.
Sort of mundane, jobbing winger that Martin O’Neill would have paid £20m for 15 years ago
And everything from them seems to be going through him.
Weren't we supposed to be in for him during Smith's tenure?
-
Only got freeview so you lot will have to do
-
I had no idea McNeil was now at Everton.
Neither does he.
-
How uncomfortable are our defenders with this passing it around at the back nonsense.
-
Ramsay needs to do more
-
They've realised how to press us. Now we can't get out of our final third.
-
Whine whine, booo, booo, go high pitched claiming a freekick/penalty/throw in, repeat endlessly
-
We are just encouraging them by dicking around at the back
-
How uncomfortable are our defenders with this passing it around at the back nonsense.
They look like a Sunday league team trying it. The likes of Mings isn’t going to turn into Baresi suddenly, at the age of 30.
-
Everton fans really are a whining bunch of twats
They are. They play the victim constantly. Like a poor man’s version of Arsenal fans who are now even worse when they are doing well. We score and watch that place become poisonous towards their own players and manager.
-
Whine whine, booo, booo, go high pitched claiming a freekick/penalty/throw in, repeat endlessly
Was just thinking the same thing.
-
"And Ball!"
-
Everton close
-
How uncomfortable are our defenders with this passing it around at the back nonsense.
now they have worked it out
-
Ramsay needs to do more
No idea why he’s playing to be honest, been awful for weeks.
-
The way to get at them is over the top. Lead to our best chance. So we don't do it again obviously.
-
Ramsay needs to do more
The whole midfield needs to move more to create options for the defence, but McGinn is a bugger for standing still and expecting Konda to turn into Beckenbauer and somehow find him.
-
Just wide from Maupay from Everton cornerlty.
-
Is it me or is this pitch really slow? Dyche been growing the grass to slow it down?
-
We've gone ragged. All comes back to this playing out from the back.
Just fucking stop it, because they'll score from it if we don't.
-
We've gone ragged. All comes back with this playing out from the back.
Just fucking stop it, because they'll score from it if we don't.
Boils my piss. Imagine if we do concede ;D
-
Be nice if Cash could stop McNeill from crossing just once this match. That’s 4 or 5 in a row he’s got into the box.
-
We’ve gone to shit, passing atrocious.
-
I see we still haven't worked out how to take a throw-in quickly.
-
Why is Emery insisting to play out from the back when it is plainly obvious we are crap at it.
Needless pressure.
-
Everton fans will only get worse with Dyche as their manager. All he has as a coach is:
- Kick and rush tactics
- An approach of "make sure you leave something on them", and
- Him doing performative histrionics on the touchline to try and influence the officials.
An utter twat. UTV
-
How uncomfortable are our defenders with this passing it around at the back nonsense.
I don’t think they have the ability to ever grasp it.
-
Is Cash capable of stopping a single cross?!
-
Good save Emi
-
All Everton at the moment.
-
Can't keep hold of the ball for two passes >:(
-
Mings just passing the ball straight back to them.
-
Our best move was over the top for Watkins.
So obviously we don't do it again.
-
Should be 1-0 Everton, great save Emi.
-
I can't wait for half-time; the penguin is almost out of the igloo.
-
Our midfield movement is non existent now. They're basically just jogging on the spot when the defence is looking for a way out. FUCKING RUN YOU C**TS.
-
Cash making McNeil look like John Robertson.
-
Mings just passing the ball straight back to them.
If Emery really wants to introduce a passing game we need much, much better players than Konsa and Mings.
-
Good game for the neutral, stressful as fuck for me.
-
Mings just passing the ball straight back to them.
If Emery really wants to introduce a passing game we need much, much better players than Konsa and Mings.
I'd like Emery to introduce a scoring game.
-
I was under the illusion that if we had Kamara and Luiz in the centre of midfield, we'd start bossing games.
I think we need another midfielder in there. Buendia would have suited this, maybe..
-
Our midfield movement is non existent now. They're basically just jogging on the spot when the defence is looking for a way out. FUCKING RUN YOU C**TS.
We’re such a lightweight team, we need a midfielder who can play AND put himself about a bit, like Onana or Partey.
-
Aside from the inevitable Everton goal in first half stoppage time, this is going exactly as I thought.
-
It’s like we are hanging on in the 90th minute when we are actually only 35 minutes into the game.
-
We are playing down to their level. The Sean Dyche level. What a shit game this has become.
-
Mings just passing the ball straight back to them.
If Emery really wants to introduce a passing game we need much, much better players than Konsa and Mings.
The thing is, who are they meant to pass to?
-
We’re just not playing very smart.
-
Brilliant save
-
Mings just passing the ball straight back to them.
If Emery really wants to introduce a passing game we need much, much better players than Konsa and Mings.

Somebody, anybody in a black shirt.
-
I was under the illusion that if we had Kamara and Luiz in the centre of midfield, we'd start bossing games.
I think we need another midfielder in there. Buendia would have suited this, maybe..
Douglas Luiz really isn't the answer.
-
Hr tactic is to get the ball wide and hang it on the6 yard box for thier midfield to atttack, not difficult to defend against
-
Is there more boring team to watch in the Premier League than us at the moment?
-
What’s happened to the confidence we used to have? Only McGinn looks like he knows what he’s doing.
-
I was under the illusion that if we had Kamara and Luiz in the centre of midfield, we'd start bossing games.

Douglas Luiz really isn't the answer.
He’s a tidy footballer, no more than that. When was the last time he imposed himself or bossed a game?
-
Come on the black shirts!
-
He’s still upset about his split from Aleisha.
-
If there's one thing I don't like about this team is that we're way too nice.
-
Onana has committed enough fouls to be sent of two or three times.
-
I was under the illusion that if we had Kamara and Luiz in the centre of midfield, we'd start bossing games.

I agree Martin, I just don't see it. He's tidy enough but not imposing or the physical presence that we really need in there.
-
No booking for Iwobi?
-
I think being too dogmatic about refusing to go long makes us easier to play against. We need to mix it up, and get Bailey on the shoulder of the last defender occasionally.
-

Ahh very nice. The H&V wine club is open again!
Vergelegen GVB 2005 Bordeaux Blend here today. Beautiful, deep, seductive.
Unlike Villa’s performance thus far.
-

It's a joke.
-
Night has fallen somewhere. And its Saturday
-
whine whine whine
Ha ha indeed.
-
Was hoping for a performance here, but we just don't look very good.
Am leaning towards turning this off at half time :D
-
We are playing down to their level. The Sean Dyche level. What a shit game this has become.
He seems to manage that in most games, always has and I mean most, not just ours. When one team wants rough and tough, agricultural stylee it draws the other side in.
-
Chance for Everton
Villa just gave it away
-
We are shite
-
Night has fallen somewhere. And its Saturday
True. Reaches for glass.
-
McGinn was out of position constantly this half and been really poor in his role.
He's getting dragged out of his place. Therefore, inside and other midfielders have to cover him. Captain Clueless.
Now giving away careless fouls.
-
Soft as you like that free kick.

They’ve all been equally shit to be honest Footy. Dreadful half.
-
This fucking ref
-
Disappointing overall. If you got points for whining Everton would already have the league sewn up.
-
Rubbish Villa.
Boooooo
-
This fucking ref
Didn't know you were an Everton fan.
-
We owned the ball for the first 25 minutes and then spent the next 20 failing to keep it and giving it away softly.
-
Konsa and Mings haven’t been great today. Midfield very unorganized and hard to believe that both Watkins and Bailey are isolated.
Poor outing from too many on the pitch.
-
I love the way Konsa does that pretend to kick it to give them that extra few seconds to close us down , genius
-
We just need to be much smarter and better.
-
that was shit - messy game with little quality.
-
Whine whine, booo, booo, go high pitched claiming a freekick/penalty/throw in, repeat endlessly
Was just thinking the same thing.
Horrible club horrible fans
-
Started ok but then got dragged into a battle. We need to show more quality and try and pass through them

That’ll be quite pleasant. Ste Michelle do a nice off-dry Riesling too, available through the wine society.
They’re tied in with Dr Loosen from the Mosel too, so the cooler climate grapes are in good hands!
-
Started ok but then got dragged into a battle. We need to show more quality and try and pass through them
we actually dragged ourselves into it.
-
Bad half hopefully
-
Emery will give a half-time masterclass in Spanish, and will sub all of the disruptive elements that can't apply Emery principles of football.
-
We are being rinsed down our right flank.
You hate to see it. Ashley Young on sooner rather than later.
-
We've allowed ourselves to be dragged down to their level.
-
Shit as we were,I still think we should have had a pen.
-
When your favorite song is complaining, Everton.
-
Bit of a ding dong, glad to get to ht level. Their crowd are moaning little bitches but it's getting their team up for it, and putting pressure on the ref especially with Dyche crying about everything.
-
Pretty crap
Give away possession come under pressure
Has Pickford had a save to make ?
-
15 minutes of decent football followed by half an hour of unmitigated shite. All the opposition needs to do to stop us getting over the halfway line is stick a couple of players in between our defence and midfield.
-
Buendía needs to come on for this stale match.
Lack of creativity and spark, as the team is ineffective despite some nice possession-based football.
Kamara's long ball literally put Watkins in position for a chance-thats it.
Ramsey has understood his role but less said about McGinn who is yet again floundering.
Its no coincidence McNeill has been somewhat effective on the left side and the right of our defence due to McGinn not doing as he's told and leaving far too much space.
-
I know we're not allowed to talk about the January transfer window and its impact on the season to come, but it's a bit like ignoring the chief reason why we haven't got any tomatoes in Britain and the rest of Europe has.
-
Emery will give a half-time masterclass in Spanish, and will sub all of the disruptive elements that can't apply Emery principles of football.
And those that can't communicate in Euskara
-
Definitely not a classic. We started first 20 mins or so very well, completely dominant in midfield and I'm surprised Watkins in his form missed that chance after doing the hard part. But it's been shit since. Bailey a complete passenger needs to be hooked asap. Konsa has been a bit gutless for me with and without the ball. Matty Cash getting caught under nearly every single cross field hoof is something you would get abused for at pub league level. We are sleep walking a bit, one good save from Martinez but they muck.
Buendia for Bailey, Young for Cash and a rocket up them at half time please Emery..
-
If we score an early goal second half I imagine hundreds of red faced whining Evertonians will spontaneously combust.
-
Let's be honest.....that was s***.
First 15 minutes it looked like we'd have endless possession and have a comfortable afternoon but really poor after that.
Sort of scrappy game Everton want and they haven't been too far away from scoring from early crosses.
What is showing is how bad we are building from the back against mediocre opponents. How many CMs do we have on the pitch and only quality is when Kamara-Luiz are passing between themselves.
Poor. Would get Buendia on early second half as he should find some space between Everton's midfield and defence. No good putting him on if we're losing as they'll just low block us to death.
-
Aside from 10 mins we've been poor. Difficult to know where to start with what we should do, but I'd start with Buendia or Duran for Bailey at half time. We keep giving the ball away and it wouldn't hurt to go longer now and again.
There is a large proportion of Everton fans who are embarrassing gobshites, with the constant moaning and whining. Wouldn't be surprised if they get a soft penalty at some point.
-
I can see them bundling in a goal and that’ll be that.
-
Emery will give a half-time masterclass in Spanish, and will sub all of the disruptive elements that can't apply Emery principles of football.
Buendía speaks the language so we all know he should be on
-

Brexit?
-
I don't really get the formation. It doesn't seem to suit the style of play we are trying to implement and ultimately, we struggle to get up the pitch.
-
Has one nil to them written all over it unless Emery sorts us out.
You do really have to wonder why a number of our players aren't very good at football. It's baffling.
We need Bailey and McGinn, Ramsey and Digne, Konsa and Luiz to step up and start fucking playing.
-
I’d get Duran on.
-

I couldn't possibly comment.
-
No goals anywhere in the Prem at h/t...
-
Konsa and Mings haven’t been great today. Midfield very unorganized and hard to believe that both Watkins and Bailey are isolated.
Poor outing from too many on the pitch.
Mings has been fine I think so far, as has Digne.
-
Dyche has become a parody of Dyche
Head in hands
Twisting around, appealing to 4th official, prat.
-
We’re back to giving the ball away needlessly. It’s very frustrating. Bundia on for Ramsey, Duran for Bailey who has been awful.
-
We are being rinsed down our right flank.
You hate to see it. Ashley Young on sooner rather than later.
Thats down to the clueless captain McGinn not able to get out there as gets dragged inside.
Ill disciplined and hindering!
-
I really don’t understand why none of our players appealed for the penalty. It would have at least drawn VAR’s attention to it and
-
I’d get Duran on.
Agree, Bailey has offered nothing.
-
Has one nil to them written all over it unless Emery sorts us out.
You do really have to wonder why a number of our players aren't very good at football. It's baffling.
Said this to someone after last week's crapshoot, but we have no partnerships in any area. There's no understanding of what one player is intending so another is there to profit from it.

I’d get Duran on.
Agree, Bailey has offered nothing.
Whenever he gets the ball, he just loses it again almost instantly.
He's really not very good.
-
Has one nil to them written all over it unless Emery sorts us out.
You do really have to wonder why a number of our players aren't very good at football. It's baffling.
Said this to someone after last week's crapshoot, but we have no partnerships in any area. There's no understanding of what one player is intending so another is there to profit from it.
Kamara-Luiz have done fine for me. Problem is when they get bypassed you don't have either McGinn or Ramsey tucking in with both stationed out wide so it becomes too easy for teams to run at our backline.
This week it won't cost us so much but against the top 6 it does as last week showed.
-
I’d get Duran on.
Agree, Bailey has offered nothing.

He's really not very good.
He's generous to a fault in both his personal and professional life.
-
Such a poor game. Our inability to keep the ball, move, pass to another Villa player - are the basics that makes you despair. Without that - we can have the master all tacticians in the dugout.. Useless
On another note: I shudder at the thought that we were after McNeill....
-
On another note: I shudder ta the thought that we are after McNeill....
We are actually making him look good today, though.
-
We are being rinsed down our right flank.
You hate to see it. Ashley Young on sooner rather than later.
Thats down to the clueless captain McGinn not able to get out there as gets dragged inside.
Ill disciplined and hindering!
McGinn looks like he has concrete boots on today but Cash is the sole reason why our right flank is getting rinsed. Can't block a cross. Can't judge the flight of a cross field ball. Happy to play the finger pointing game with Konsa, mind.
-
I’d get Duran on.
Agree, Bailey has offered nothing.
He appears to have taken a knock early on after winning a free kick on the edge of the area, which Digne put over. Bailey was hurt, which appears to have taken him off his stride. He's stuck to his position if a little ineffective
-
Even on the rare occasion that we successfully beat the high press, we are met with more pressure on the next phase. I thought the whole point of this piss farting around is that when you keep possession and break the lines, it’s meant to open up space.
-
On another note: I shudder ta the thought that we are after McNeill....

True - and that says alot about Cash too.
-
I’d get Duran on.

Nearly always seems a better threat, when he comes off the bench.
-
On another note: I shudder ta the thought that we are after McNeill....

Can't believe how one footed he is, that was a great chance just before half time which eventually ended with Maupay shooting straight at Emi.
-

I think one of the major issues is that Emery is training it, and the players do it, but they don't really understand why.
-
I’d genuinely rather have El Ghazi or Trez than Bailey. He offers so very little, we were absolutely rinsed when we bought him.
-

It's McGinn he keeps going 'inside'. He seems lost to me and disrupting the balance. I rather push Cash up and Young on than have the clueless captain wondering where to play. Doesn't help Bailey ineffectiveness either but for me the Captain is sub par and doesn't understand the system.
-
I’d genuinely rather have El Ghazi or Trez than Bailey. He offers so very little, we were absolutely rinsed when we bought him.
I think El Ghazi would have gone up a level under Emery. Nothing like world class, but technically he was much better than Bailey.
-
Looks like no changes at HT. Bailey living a charmed life.
-
If Everton take the lead we will lose this match because so far they have easily kept us out and will make it more difficult if they are ahead.
-
McGinn has been no worse than anybody else, and better than Ramsey and Bailey, both of whom are in rotten form and shouldn’t be in the team.
-
Keep possession, is what we need to do. They're Burnley lite so will keep giving away free kicks and picking up yellows and the crowd will go so high pitched only dogs will be able to hear them.
-
Bloody hell Digne, what was that exactly?
-
If Everton take the lead we will lose this match because so far they have easily kept us out and will make it more difficult if they are ahead.
I agree, if they score first there's no way we're getting back into it.
-
When was the last time Digne had a game where you thought he was good at either defending or attacking?
-
Need to see more of those runs from Ramsey.
-
Luis great play , tomdigne ,then wank
-
Luiz loses it cheaply now.
-
Some of our passing is truly atrocious.
If anyone puts the slightest pressure on us when we have the ball we just panic and give it to them.
-
Stop overplaying it ,taken the man on again ,losing it ,instead of a pass .
Eg Luis
-
Part of the trouble is that out of possession we have 6 people drop back into defence, so if we win the ball back we’re short on numbers further up the field.
-
Get digne off
-
Fucking hell
-
How does Digne get selected for the French squad? 🤷♂️
-
Get digne off
and Cash, Luiz, Ramsey, Bailey and Watkins. Probably Mings and Konsa too. How many subs are you allowed?!
-
Get digne off
He's been poor, though covering for that defensive headers was good.
-
How does Digne get selected for the French squad? 🤷♂️
He doesn't any more.
-
Jesus fucking christ.
-
Fuck me, we’ve come out in clown shoes this half. Absolute rabble.
-
Emi injured
-
Moreno > Digne
-
Utter shit.
-
Digne is having a nightmare, which is strange, as he knows the ground.
-
I can hear Martinez telling Bailey where to stand, why can’t he?
-
What the fuck is going on.
-
We're getting worse
-
Get up Martinez, we’re not winning, again.
-
Bloody hell
-
Sweating
-
Well played Tyrone.
Fucking hell though, Villa. That ball bouncing off Konsa :D
-
That tackle was fine by Bailey . Really not doing for him. And free kick came in. Mings loves one off the line.
Martinez was acting out his typical dramatic routine and kept falling over but Taylor didn't stop the game, so he had to get up.
-
What the shitting fuck are we doing, we're all over the shop.
-
Digne is having a nightmare, which is strange, as he knows the ground.
His Spanish isn’t great though, so swings and roundabouts.
-
Brilliant by Mings to sort his feet out on the goalline.
-
Digne is having a nightmare, which is strange, as he knows the ground.
Yes, but is he familiar with it?
-
Unai looks absolutely fed up
-
Have we 'beaten the press' once today?
-
And still we fuck about at the back, utter, utter madness.
-
Everton are the dirge that gathers round the plug hole and this is how we play against them.
-
Very calm clearance from Mings. But a whole bunch of defensive fuckwittery
-
We usually don’t put our tails between our legs for another 30 minutes.
-
Unai looks absolutely fed up
And least he hasn’t had to pay to watch the shite he’s serving up.
-
What the fuck was Konsa doing
-
Change it the fuck up
-
Digne is having a nightmare, which is strange, as he knows the ground.
Yes, but is he familiar with it?
That’s where he learnt to play shit.
-
This is dreadful
-
Make a fucking sub or two, this is dismal.
-
Bailey would suit another team.Probably in the Stourbridge under 9 league.
-
Sort it out Emery
-
Bailey must be withdrawn that knock on him has put him off .
Ramsey only player making an effort in going forward.
-
Just a matter of time
-
Off the post!!!
-
Duran for Bailey. Buendia for Ramsey. This is complete rubbish.
-
How!
-
Same as last week, just a depressing inevitability to this game.
-
Fucking hell Pickford
-
Pickford fair play. Tipped on to post then cleared off the line.
Watkins so close with downward header!
-
Fucking hell, how on earth did that stay out? Superb cross from Digne.
-
Bailey is an absolute pussy
-
Is that Digne's first cross into the box for the club?
-
I'm enjoying this so much GOOOOOOOL NOOOOOOO ! FUCK!
-
Penalty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Hard to believe Bailey has been on the pitch.
-
Bailey abysmal.
-
Is that Digne's first cross into the box for the club?
It's the first one that didn't hit the first defender.
-
Here we go . Two Spainish speakers and a change of system.
-
So close Ollie
-
Ffs how's that not In
-
Finally 10 years and a penalty!
-
VAR check
-
Penalty?
-
We have a penalty!?
Who’s going to take it?
-
Barry won’t
-
Give it to Ings!
Oh.
-
Ollie taking it
-
Good the chuckle brothers are going off.
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Watkins 50/50 on penalties.
I’d rather have… ermmm… I dunno.
-
Come on Ollie
-
Yessss!
-
huzzah
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I fuckin fuckin love that
-
Pen. Well done
-
5 games running, brilliant Watkins.
-
Get. In.
-
Get in Ollie!
-
5 in 5 for Ollie. Keep it going!
-
First Villa striker to score in 5 straight top flight games since Paul Rideout in 84/85.
-
*scrambles to put tenner on conceding in the next five minutes*
-
YEEEEEEEEEEES!
-
Fucking yesssss get in!
-
There will be massive holes to exploit now. Nothing fucking daft, and get another
-
Now close it up. Play it safe. Just win this game.
-
Thought that was going over let's hang on and not shit our pants.
-
Brace yourself Villa kitchen sink and all is coming towards our area in the next 20 minutes
-
As cool as you like.
-
*scrambles to put tenner on conceding in the next five minutes*
Hah I was just thinking that.
-
Laying in bed listening to the rain in Wellington and following on here is not good for you. Trust me.
-
the turnovers.. come on.
-
Oh yess!!!
Ollieee!
My stream's a bit behind.
-
Our passing remains dreadful.
-
Stop giving the ball away you cloggers!
-
The Ref has been crap and contributed to this being a poor game as he has let their overly physical/niggling approach go.
I'm all for a return to football being a physical contest, though he clearly does not understand when a coach sends his team out to foul continously as their primary tactic. UTV
-
Everton appeal for a pen and get worked up, the challenge was in the center circle.
-
Does Buendia know he's playing for us?
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
-
This is a bit stressful.
I've almost gone through 3/4 of a bottle of Yamazaki.
Mixed with soda water, as is often the way here
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Moreno and Emi on, Bailey and Digne off
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Emi 2 and Moreno for Bailey and Digne.
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Buendia and Moreno for Digne and Bailey.
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Have. FFS!
-
Ginny played to his strengths for the pen. For the first time all game, he contributed to an offensive sense by making a move forward run into the area and winning the penalty. That's much better!
Watkins slammed the pen straight down the middle.
We now appear to be in control despite some poor play in possession, while Everton, give the ball away as much and can deal with any of their powder puff attacks.
Buendía needs to work on his possession because he keeps giving the ball away.
Martinez's antics will be 'entertaining" on goal kicks now we are 1-0.
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Moreno and Emi on, Bailey and Digne off
Thx.
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Have. FFS!
There's only one Aston Villa - although I accept that 'have' is also possible.
-
Fun fact: Goodison was apparently the first ground to introduce plastic beer glasses, as all the real ones kept shattering every time there was a penalty appeal.
-
Ings is filling his boots against Forest.
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Moreno and Emi on, Bailey and Digne off
Thx.
Yes the Spanish speakers.
We dont want Gaye to go off he's offered some great contributions for us with all his fouls.
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Have. FFS!
There's only one Aston Villa - although I accept that 'have' is also possible.
We is very disappointed in you.
-
Who is going to drop a bollock?
-
Ings is filling his boots against Forest.
He’s a proven entity at this level. I suppose more money for us if they stay up. Which they will. He’s perfect as a rotation player.
-
25 yarder from Watkins! Parried away by Pickford.
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Have. FFS!

Not the same thing. We have a thread about this. :-)
-
Final Score coming in their pants because Leeds have scored
-
Antony Taylor making up for all those mistakes in previous matches and giving correct yellow cards . And a penalty!
-
Interesting yellow card.
-
Emi1 booked
-
Emi1 booked
Hmm, let me guess what for!

Needs another 5 before a ban

Is Hause any worse than him?
-
Fun fact: Goodison was apparently the first ground to introduce plastic beer glasses, as all the real ones kept shattering every time there was a penalty appeal.
It's a cracker!
-
Has Villa made subbs yet? - who's on, for whom?
Have. FFS!
Is you sure?
-
Buendia creates lots of space for the other players in our team, and despite some loose possession, he's been great to bring on and help in forward thrusts.
-
Konsa has been a disgrace today
Is Hause any worse than him?
He used to be. What the hell happened to him?
-
One day Martinez may get sent off for time wasting.
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Better.
-
Fucking shit performance Villa
-
Have it.
-
Mings has done well today.
-
Get the fuck in Emi
-
The most inevitable yellow card ever
-
Emi 2. Excellent.
-
Now keep a clean sheet boys
-
Get in!
-
Scooooorchhhhioooooo!
-
He has a habit of scoring against Everton. Get in there Emi 2.
-
It's amazing that we are winning 2-0
Get the fuck in!

-
Buendiiiiiiiaaaaa yaaas!
-
And breathe.
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This is becoming one of my favourite things.
-
Buendía understands Emery's instructions
Mings ball over the top to Watkins. Then McGinn being effective. (Much better second half by the captain)
Buendía tricks past two everton players and smashes it past Pickford.
-
That is a top goal starting with a great ball from Mings, and a lovely run from McGinn.
-
puta de cono !
-
It's lovely to see a Villa player beating someone in the box and scoring.
-
Feels good to be someone elses bogey team.
-
Ha! Take that Pickford you greabo

SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I think no danger. Everton are so weak in attack.

The team? - agreed!
Okay - I understand grammar, the role of the collective noun, etc. So, my original was a bit of a wind-up ... unnecessary on the match thread, I'll admit.
-
puta de cono !
UTV !
:)
-
GETTT INNN!!!!
-
What a strike. Quality finish.
-
Pick that out you scally twats.
-
Not that I care but the Coady was so rooted to the spot that he must have needed help to move.
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This is becoming one of my favourite things.
Very good, PWS
Along with whiskers on kittens?
-
Any links to the goals please?
-
Watching Sky, as soon as I heard the tone of disappointment in Chris Boyd's voice I knew it was Villa who'd gone 2 up, and not Everton who'd equalised.
-
I'm afraid Emi will get a second yellow
-
McGinn is getting better and better as this game has gone on.
I'm impressed!
-
Any links to the goals please?
Buendia https://twitter.com/LAF_Mundial/status/1629523154895884295

Nosotros estamos aprendiendo a jugar Emerybol.
-
I'm afraid Emi will get a second yellow
Preventing a goal then ok but for antics no thats unacceptable if that ever happens.
-
Don't concede before the seven minutes added on, please.
-
Watkins pen https://twitter.com/FootballReprt/status/1629517479994175490

If we're going to play a fancy passing game, Buendia has to be on the pitch. He's a bit lightweight at times but he absolutely has the skill and confidence needed.
-
Any links to the goals please?
Buendia https://twitter.com/LAF_Mundial/status/1629523154895884295

Thanks Mr Shin.

Can see why Everton are down there. Goal shy.
-
Buendia having a go at Tarkowski who must be a whole foot taller than him. Go on son!
-
Buendía needs to give it up -his wanting to fight every game.
He's always having an argentina bargey with someone
-
5 mins added time

Buendia having a go at Tarkowski who must be a whole foot taller than him. Go on son!

Can you imagine what their pubs will be like with those high pitched nasally whiny voices all evening. Wine and pint glasses will spontaneously shatter.

Full time. Emery master class, never in doubt.
-
Can you imagine what their pubs will be like with those high pitched nasally whiny voices all evening. Wine and pint glasses will spontaneously shatter.
Glass o' whine la!
-
Great to stop the rot with easier games to come. Great result, if not a vintage performance.
-
Not the most fun to watch. But we ground it out, there will be easier matches. Stopped the rot, I’m happy.
-
McGinn is getting better and better as this game has gone on.
I'm impressed!
Gloryhunter.
-
Great to stop the rot with easier games to come. Great result, if not a vintage performance.
Makes up for Leicester game IMO.
-
Important win.
-
We needed that one
-
First Villa striker to score in 5 straight top flight games since Paul Rideout in 84/85.
Blimey, that was a quiz question and a half!
-
Well done lads
-
I know we're not allowed to talk about the January transfer window and its impact on the season to come, but it's a bit like ignoring the chief reason why we haven't got any tomatoes in Britain and the rest of Europe has.
Brexit?
I couldn't possibly comment.
Nothing to do with Brexit, everthing to do with the supermarkets only offering les than the cost of production to UK protected edible farmers. They just didn't plant very much as energy and fert costs are too high to justify what was on offer as forward purchase price.
Imports from Spain are cheap as they can grow without heat, normally UK farms put in about 5-10% but most have not planted until it warms a bit and the glasshouse heatimg costs come down. That means a squeeze on total availability. Also poor crop in Morocco has led to restricted exports from there.
Potatoes will be scarce later this year as half of Europe cut it's acreage due to low prices on offer.
