...who has the email address hanvforum@gmail.com please. It's just that they emailed me a few days ago about something and I've replied but haven't heard back yet. Thanks
-
That is the 'forums' email address, its what sends your PM notifications.
-
This is the email I received. There was no corresponding message in my inbox.
Been suggested that it's spam. Could the email address have been hacked?

NO its not spam or been hacked.
From what l can see (in the logs) you originally had a message from deasy92, but you must have used 'reply', so it went to the handvforum email not deasy92.
-
When you get a PM you get an email notification with the message in it. However, to reply to the PM you have to log onto the forum and send it from there. You can't reply to a pm via the e-mail notification.
Am I right? ;-)
-
What I don't understand is that I don't have a message from @Deasy92 in my inbox. And I've just sent them one, but it's not showing in my sent messages
Technology hates me...
-
When you send a PM, there is a box that you have to tick in order to have your message saved to your inbox. If you don't tick it then your message is sent but you don't have a copy.
-
Thanks. Doesn't explain why I never received the email from Deasy92 into my inbox though...
-
Have replied to deasy92, if I don't hear anything back by the end of the weekend I'll cancel my day off and just write it off as one of those things...

Only McGrath knows Martyn. Only McGrath knows...

Why am I getting "you are posting this twice" message? This was on Man city and NSWE thread.

I keep getting the database error too, when replying to existing threads.
-
Hopefully these errors will go when l move to the new server in the next hour or so.

I got the same but thought it was due to my post having foreign characters when I was able to post on other threads.
However, given Martin's made it abundantly clear he's working on the database atm, a little understanding and patience is required (just as with our transfer dealings) and I'm sure I'll be able to post my extremely urgent 'On this day in History' info in due course. :)

The last pre-migration test did not show the character errors we have on here, but there may be others l haven't discovered yet, bear with me.
Hope to move to the new server in the next hour or so, providing no major errors are found.
-
Thanks Martin.

I am not prepared to wait for that. What happens if the same thing was to happen again today or tomorrow? So can you please make that post PDQ?
