Good write-up (and a new press- pun).
-
That league cup final was 2020, just before all the time-distorting craziness started

Good write-up (and a new press- pun).
Finally! (The latter, only, I mean 😁)

Good one Dave!
You just let the one eyed, biased, fawning officials off a little too easily.
A goodly number of their decisions, never mind the BIG ONE, were unacceptable. If you, or I, did our jobs as badly as they did today, we'd be struggling to get a gig tomorrow!
All being said, sweet dreams!
UTFV!

Great writing, great weekend!

Good stuff.

Great stuff.

Done.

Excellent read.

Good read as always. I'd like to say I knew we'd play well, but I'm not press-cient when it comes to predicting Villa performances.
-
Great read Dave.
-
Bang on Dave.
-
Brilliant read (as always).
Cheers

Great read Dave, the line about the City fans will never have the same feeling we did, when Leon scored, is so true. Despite having 2 very dodgy knees, I still managed to jump 6 feet in the air, still recovering now.
-
Good read.
Good point about the fan boys/bandwagonners.
That Louie Barry goal against Liverpool was the same, it gave us such a buzz, they just wouldn't get it.
Can't wait for us to actually win something again.

Good write-up (and a new press- pun).
Finally! (The latter, only, I mean 😁)
If you abandoned the puns the articles would get more views

People were just laughing at them afterwards. “It’s your cup final” and something about the “champions league” had a lot of us in stitches. I did like one retort from a Villa fan who after being bated for not being in the champions league offered to take them on a stadium tour to see it. We laughed but they didn’t have a clue what he was talking about. Give me this grand old club any day, warts and all and please god never turn us into them.

Great read Dave.
Thanks Daz.

Go back to the late 70's and their fans were much the same as ours. Fast forward to 2022 and it has totally changed. Which camp would I rather be on....VILLA

Great read Dave.
Thanks Daz.
What about the rest of us? :-\
-
Excellent read and spot on about the feelings their current crop of fans will never know.
-
Re their "fans"
Last season I had the misfortune to watch them dismantle someone in the company of (bear with me) my wife's, cousin's 18 year old son.
He greeted each City goal with Danish equivalent of thank you. (Ja tak)
The next game up was our home game against Brentford. When Buendia scored that pearler to equalise I jumped out of the sofa shouting something along the lines of "get in you beauty". The look on his face was utter confusion. He just didn't get that a goal could provoke that kind of joyous reaction.

Well written and balanced review Dave.
Ash was my MOTM, made such a difference once he was on.
-
Great read Dave.
Thanks Daz.
What about the rest of us? :-\
I'm not intimidated by the rest of you.
-
Ah, so that's what it is.
I'm glad I've always been pleasant to Daz, now.

I remember when Chiles was presenting MOTD 2 years ago when the Baggies were in the Prem.
WBA had won 1-0 at Wigan with a desperate backs-to -the-wall effort.
Chiles explained that teams like Man U and Chelsea expect to win 3/4-0 against the Latics so would be disappointed with a single goal win. He, of course, was elated.
Dave's comment about Citeh reminded me of this.
