No Mings. Ings and Watkins again.
This is gonna be a proper decoration job.

-
They havent scored a goal, new striker making his debut....we know what's coming don't we?!!
-
A concerning line-up allied to the usual formation. What could go wrong?
-
If anyone could send me a small trickle please, would be very grateful (only if we wing though).
-
They havent scored a goal, new striker making his debut....we know what's coming don't we?!!
Just said the same to my dad
-
Be afraid, be very afraid.
-
I'm not sure why Bailey and Buendia have been dropped. Kamara as the only cover at centre half is a bit concerning.
-
Bailey on the bench. His dad is fuming.
-
We need a decent performance from Coutinho today and some aggression in midfield.
-
West Ham will flood the midfield, be more combative than us and will leave with a minimum of a point. I wish to hell we had Declan Rice in our side!!
-
As predicted, same formation that keeps failing, and picks the same players who have let us down so badly so far - McGinn, Konza, Coutinho.
Relegation beckons folks.....
-
We need a decent performance from Coutinho today and some aggression in midfield.
We need the manager to go before he gets us relegated, he is clueless.
.
-
Their big striker must fancy his chances against Chambers and Konsa.
-
Ramsey not starting is very much a plus for me.
-
Sending Hause out on loan looks a wise decision doesn't it?
-
Steven Gerrard says Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings misses out because of illness - the boss says he had a headache after training yesterday and had a high temperature.
-
Just been sat in my car and some west ham fans went past and said "it's a shithole round here" 🤣

And unfortunately, they have 2. Conor Coventry is a midfielder in the same mould.
-
Narrow diamond. I don't fancy us defending set plays. Could get ugly this.
-
I hope they prove me wrong but this looks a disasterous line up. I think anyone on this site could have come up with a better line up. Against my better judgement I am staying up til the early hours to watch the game. I think our midfield will be overrun and we will concede minimum three goals.
-
I despair, I really do. What is he seeing with McGinn that no-one else does?…and I’m not sure what Buendia has to do to stay in this team, every time he comes on he changes the game. SG can do one, I’ve had enough of him. Today is not going to end well.
-
No Mings is a blow but happy enough with the rest. Both teams badly need a win so a draw it is. :(
-
Well all those that wanted to see Kamara and Dougie play together(like me) have got their wish
Let’s see if it makes any difference
-
Not a great lineup.
They might be too physical for us.
Up the Villa! Come on Villa, fucking win
-
Think we would all take the draw right now.

Looks like they have two LBs selected so presume it's Cresswell on the left of a 3 and Emerson further up. Watkins always struggles up against 3 x CBs so might be no harm to have a second striker today.
If you look at our team though, one things stands out for me and that's a complete absence in pace throughout the team. Ramsey can't have any complaints being dropped but he's a better athlete than Luiz. Gerrard giving his mate Coutinho yet another undeserved chance ahead of Buendia and he really needs to start delivering. Going to be goals today, I'll go 2-2 and we finish with a much stronger team than we start with.
-
McGinn could rock up today with a picnic blanket, sit in the centre circle and consume scotch eggs and Irn Bru for 90 minutes and Gerrard would still pick him next week. Frustrating.
-
Is there a more pedestrian team in this league
-
McGinn could rock up today with a picnic blanket, sit in the centre circle and consume scotch eggs and Irn Bru for 90 minutes and Gerrard would still pick him next week. Frustrating.
It's incredible isn't it. I know he's the captain, but he's been really poor this season.
Need a big performance from him and all of them today.
-
Well all those that wanted to see Kamara and Dougie play together(like me) have got their wish
Let’s see if it makes any difference
It's still in that flat horrible three though, not a 2 that most of us want. At least, it should be Luiz on right and McGinn on left of Kamara. If it isn't then....
-
What a shame we have to be constantly so negative but you can hardly blame the comments can you.
Gerrard's lack of inventiveness and tactical ineptitude gets us worried before we even kick a ball. Its amazing that one of the best England Midfielders who captained his club and country cannot get the basics right.
I always say ill be happy to be proved wrong and that Gerrard will surprise me, but sadly the inevitable always happens. For me not conceding in the first 15 minutes will be an improvement.
On the plus side I enjoyed Saturday.
-
Big blow about Mings and tough on Buendia and Bailey time to step up Phil.
-
Happy with Luiz starting. Him and Kamara will have to be extremely disciplined given it's a CB combination we've never put out on same pitch together at prem level.
Who knows, it should given us better balance to push the FBs on and McGinn in more advanced role to get into the box.
Beggars belief that Coutinho has started three of the four prem games so far and Buendia just the one given the respective forms not just this season but last three months of last season aswell.
-
I've seen walking football sides with more pace than we have.
-
I've seen walking football sides with more pace than we have.
and cover more ground.
-
This is malpractice.
-
Queues shocking today too. Nothing learned from Everton.
Hopefully the football is an improvement
-
Draw please.
-
I don’t believe a word of why Mings is missing. SG has made a right cock up with regards to the captaincy situation with pissing Mings off and appointing one of the worst people capable of being a captain in McGinn. He should be man enough to admit he has dropped a huge bollock or two and sort the situation out.
Also it seems that Bailey did know that he was only going to be a sub.
I’m here to be proved wrong but, todays line up is shocking and, if we don’t get at least 3 points from today and next 2 matches, SG will be gone before the World Cup kicks off.
-
Just been sat in my car and some west ham fans went past and said "it's a shithole round here" 🤣
Interesting perspective for fans of a club situated in the biggest dump of a city in western europe.
-
Their midfield bossed us last year, what has changed ?
-
Something feels wrong. Not sure what, but something isn't right.
How have we ended up here with Buendia such a bit part player?
-
Just been sat in my car and some west ham fans went past and said "it's a shithole round here" 🤣

the old Boleyn was no different
-
We need a decent performance from Coutinho today and some aggression in midfield.
We need the manager to go before he gets us relegated, he is clueless.
.
That's not happening today though is it!? Coutinho is world class and needs to show that today.
-
No pace anywhere. This is going to be dour.
-
No pace anywhere. This is going to be dour.
Indeed. So one-paced and predictable.
-
That midfield is going to be absolutely destroyed. And that CB pairing is the stuff relegations are made of.
-
McGinn could rock up today with a picnic blanket, sit in the centre circle and consume scotch eggs and Irn Bru for 90 minutes and Gerrard would still pick him next week. Frustrating.
I've a mental image of McGinn going full Rab C Nesbit now. It's a shame because it's a situation that isn't helping Gerrard, McGinn or Villa.
-
Another lucky dip approach to the line up
-
Sarr was actually the right type of forward option with his pace. Him and Bailey either side would allow us to play more on the break, lower block, suiting our defenders a bit more. This formation and attempted tactic just doesn't work with this group.
-
Queues shocking today too. Nothing learned from Everton.
Hopefully the football is an improvement
Went to the outside bar at the back of the Trinity which were ok, decent atmos as well. No problem inside either
-
Fornals and Bowen will cause us problems, I feel.
-
That line up is frightening.
-
I reckon mings is on his way out, 2 CB’s signed this week !
He had a headache after training !?!?…… give his some analgesics !
-
There have been plenty of games in the past where we've all sat there pre-match, looked at the team line up and had a right good moan about the selection only for the team to put in a surprisingly brilliant performance. I don't think today is one of those days.
-
They havent scored a goal, new striker making his debut....we know what's coming don't we?!!
I'm covered if it happens.
-
McGinn could rock up today with a picnic blanket, sit in the centre circle and consume scotch eggs and Irn Bru for 90 minutes and Gerrard would still pick him next week. Frustrating.
Crazy to have him starting again.
-
If we lose today, no matter the fashion, I’m going to become firmly Gerrard Out.
Forcing two out and out center forwards into a 4-3-3, persisting with McGinn, letting Hause go out on loan with Mings picking up an illness, totally abandoning any sort of width and all of the cock ups since.
I hope we win, we better win.
-
They haven't scored a single goal yet.
If I could be arsed, I'd be having a few quid on them to score inside 10 mins. Not because i really think they will, but more because it is exactly the sort of thing that happens with us.
-
I reckon mings is on his way out,
*Furtively heads to Deathwatch thread*
-
Afternoon everyone. Up the Villa! Not at all confident but fuck it, lets see what happens.
-
I reckon mings is on his way out,
*Furtively heads to Deathwatch thread*
Haha, brilliant word !
-
Being bullied in midfield.
-
Too many passes backwards from us.
-
Three points for West Ham.
-
Looks like they're lining up with Aaron Cresswell on the left side of a three and the new signing Emerson at left wing back. Interesting formation. Assume Cresswell will be encouraged to get forward from there when the opportunity arises.
Good to see what that centre half from PSG looks like as well.
-
A shot!
-
We love passing it backwards
-
Maybe not
-
Not very exciting so far
-
What's that been disallowed for?
-
What's that been disallowed for?
Ball went out of play
-
Fuck me we are a cure for insomnia.
-
Ball went out
-
Does anyone have a river to share?
-
How can you be sure
-
Playing a bit better right now.
-
is this a 4-4-2, with a diamond?
-
Rice fouls Luiz, then appeared to stop the free kick being taken early.
No booking?
-
We look half decent at the moment!
We're going direct but it's working ok.
-
How is it that West Ham keep Rice and there doesn't seem to be massive, constant gossip about him going to a bigger club (unless I've just missed it (which is possible!)?
-
All Villa now.
-
This is so much better. They still don't look especially fluent, but they are clearly short on confidence so it'll take time. Still, much better.
-
Coutinho looking bright and involved. Good to see.
-
I still think we are too slow and the ball into the final third is too predictable. We are working a lot harder though off the ball when we lose it. Next two games are horrible so we have get something from today.
-
We are definitely a bit better.
-
Well my link died, being forced to watch wolves vs Newcastle now 😞
-
Well on top. Need a goal..
-
We really need to score when we’re on top
-
You can see the why WH haven’t scored a goal this season.
Worse than Everton.
-
Coutinho is far too deep
-
Does anyone have a river to share?
got one feel free to message me if you want it
-
Kamara doing really well today.
-
We’ve seen this movie before. We haven’t taken advantage of the pressure and possession. They will win 1-0
-
Also the punts into the corner seem to be really effective today, not sure why.
-
Kamara, Coutinho, Watkins all looking bright, but we need a goal and will be punished if we don’t score before half time…
-
is this a 4-4-2, with a diamond?
4312 looks like to me. Very little interaction between the front two so far.
-
McGinn is probably the least involved captain I've ever seen. Beyond anonymous.
-
McGinn is probably the least involved captain I've ever seen. Beyond anonymous.
It irrationally fucks me off no end watching him now and those balls over the top are so much hit and hope than the stuff of Cowans.
-
Is everyone awake !?
-
This is dull.
-
Blimey WH are dire.
-
Might end up being our better half.
-
Blimey WH are dire.
They are much worse than I thought they would be so far.
-
We bring the game to a grinding halt far too often when we have the ball. It allows the opponents to simply reestablish their footing and positioning.
-
To use a cliché this has got 0-0 written all over it.
-
Blimey WH are dire.
They are much worse than I thought they would be so far.
Are we any better?
-
You can see the why WH haven’t scored a goal this season.
Worse than Everton.
Don’t like these sort of cocky posts, given our current form. Why tempt fate?
-

Compare and contrast with Brighton
-
Kamara doing really well today.
Taking to a Marseille season ticket holder yesterday, he reckons Kamara is going to be a world beater. Said he reminded him of Makalele.
-
Blimey WH are dire.
They are much worse than I thought they would be so far.
Are we any better?
Slightly. A smiggen.
-
Stephen Warnock on 5 live "Villa have no cutting edge. Couthnio has been quiet & Watkins & Ings are feeding on scraps". Who would have guessed?
-
Good fucking god McGinn
-
Blimey WH are dire.
They are much worse than I thought they would be so far.
Are we any better?
Haha well! Conversely, we're much better than I thought we would be.
-
McGinn is probably the least involved captain I've ever seen. Beyond anonymous.
It irrationally fucks me off no end watching him now and those balls over the top are so much hit and hope than the stuff of Cowans.
He's diabolical. So so poor.
So many of our players need to show more desire and get involved. Ollie, Cash, Digne in particular. Ings has worked hard, Kamara is tidy, Luiz is well, average.
Come on lads
-
McGinn is a lump.
-
Terrible game, West Ham have been dreadful, even Rice. Don't think any of our players have been particularly poor but far too often when Kamara or Luiz get the ball they have little option but to go back to their CBs. Can't see on TV but I expect the movement of the front 3 isn't good enough.
-
That shot from McGinn just absolutely sums him up at the moment. Seemed to move in slow motion.
-
Blimey WH are dire.
They are much worse than I thought they would be so far.
Are we any better?
We've been comfortably the better side, just not creating clear cut chances.
-
Kamara doing really well today.
Taking to a Marseille season ticket holder yesterday, he reckons Kamara is going to be a world beater. Said he reminded him of Makalele.
He makes breaking up their play look easy sometimes.
-
HT. The better side but didn't create a fat lot. West Ham are awful.
-
Sky reckon we dominating but struggling to score.
-
Stephen Warnock on 5 live "Villa have no cutting edge. Couthnio has been quiet & Watkins & Ings are feeding on scraps". Who would have guessed?
Aside from one magic little through ball to Ings (who fucked up the cross to Watkins) that is a fair summation. It looked ominous to me after 5 mins so at least were not being bullied out of it. But there is no cutting edge.
-
You can see the why WH haven’t scored a goal this season.
Worse than Everton.
Don’t like these sort of cocky posts, given our current form. Why tempt fate?
Because there is no such thing as fate, luck, or astrology!!
-
44 is good
-
I couldn't find a stream. I doubt it matters.
-
Just realized a win takes us up to 7th
-
And we can be so dippy at the back. That ball by Chambers-under no pressure and plays that kind of ball. Konsa headed a ball earlier like it was an American football.
They aren't bad players...just something isn't right.
-
I have this horrible Watford from last season feel. You just know the first half chance these gits get
-
Sky reckon we dominating but struggling to score.
I reckon Sky are correct.
-
In fairness first 30 minutes you could see first time this season in league an actual plan and we had some good moves with Ollie drifting wide. Set piece goal ruled out was just unlucky with it drifting out, sort of set piece taking we need to see more regularly.
Last 15 minutes it's just been back to plodding and sideways passing. Have to say Kamara's been really good breaking up attacks, makes it more infuriating we can't get the right sort of structure around him.
Even for a Moyes team bottom of the league West Ham have been ridiculous negative, reminds me of how West Brom played in play offs against us so massive opportunity missed if we don't win this.
Subs can make a difference here with space Coutinho is getting 30 yards from goal.
-
Would Buendia be worth a go in the second half? He brings that sharpness and pace which we are a little lacking.
-
BBC 5 Live …. “This is a hard watch”
Sums it up
-
44 is good
He’s outstanding. I just want him playing with a couple more players of that quality.
-
I wonder when the maestro will bring Buendia on.
-
As a unit the midfield looks much better. Kamara and dougie both looking comfortable and mature.. McGinn on the other hand, frantic and jittery. I think he’s just trying to create some luck for himself.
We’ve got to bag the first goal and we’ve got the subs to do it.
-
Anyone watching on a firestick who can tell me a channel? NZ 8 is driving me mad with the buffering.
-
We look good. I can’t square how well organised we look in the home games so far vs the panicky basketball of the away matches. We’ve controlled the game well and it’s clear we’re trying to get Watkins and Ings in down the channels after moving them in the middle.
The midfield looks SO much better balanced with Luiz and Kamara in there and not surprisingly it’s freed up McGinn to actually do what he does best and annoy the shit out of Soucek and Rice.
These, despite being in shit form, are still one of the most solid defensive teams in the league, so we’re never going to score 3/4. Just need to open them up once - primed for Buendia to win this for us.
-
One big problem we have is Cash and Digne don't create enough quality crosses from the many they get in, ball is too often flat and low and easy for likes of Zouma to stoop to head away.
Cresswell hit in a decent cross that flew right through our six yard box and we eventually conceded a corner, we've got men in the box today but the delivery just isn't good enough.
-
Also - Konsa and Chambers compliment each other really well. I’d like to see them given a run of games with Carlos out.
-
BBC 5 Live …. “This is a hard watch”
Sums it up
We could all predict that when we saw the team sheet. No pace at all means everything has to be played in front of the opposition defence.
Having said that, the cockney twats are parking the bus.
-
Would Buendia be worth a go in the second half? He brings that sharpness and pace which we are a little lacking.
Yes, and one of the two forwards is a waste of time really. You can make an argument for one of them - but it's one of them.
Also McGinn, bad, just bad, anyone else please.
-
West ham are poor ,don't look like scoring, got no confidence,we should be winning a game like this 2 or 3 -0 . Yet we just haven't done enough,we look.so pedestrian,it's really missing the pace of Leon and the nusiance and creativity of buendia .
We are just bland as fcuk
-
Sky reckon we dominating but struggling to score.
Struggling to get the ball anywhere near west ham's 18 yard box.
-
You can see the why WH haven’t scored a goal this season.
Worse than Everton.
Don’t like these sort of cocky posts, given our current form. Why tempt fate?
Because there is no such thing as fate, luck, or astrology!!
You read my mind
-
Wasn't hugely optimistic with that line up, but encouraging so far.
Not too many nervy moments from us at the back. That could change if they bring Antonio on to do his usual bull in a chinashop routine, mind.
Coutinho has looked OK, but good to see how Buendia's more direct approach will fare when he gets on.
-
Would really like to see a positive tactical change at half time. Switch up to 4231. Luiz to drop in next to Kamara. Take off either striker, not working to put it mildly with them. I'd take off Coutinho too. Bailey and Buendia on. Give us a bit more energy.
To finish on a positive, Konsa has looked sharp.
-
Best performance of the season so far. Comfortable all over the pitch, just need a bit more quality in the final third required.
Why was the goal ruled out?
-
Our tactics are based on John Carew being our centre forward. I can’t quite put my finger on why that is a problem.
-
Do we lose anything at all by putting Emi2 in McGinn’s position?
-
Albeit it was Man City, but yesterday I counted 7 of their own players in the opposition box for one of the goals.
We've got to get more bodies running into the box.
-
We're lacking a forward focal point, Watkins is on the left and Ings is doing a lot of running about with little consequence. Our forward structure is not good enough, Coutino is better today but we have had two shots on goal from a way out. Spam will change their line up and play better we will remain the same til the last ten minutes.
-
West ham are poor ,don't look like scoring, got no confidence,we should be winning a game like this 2 or 3 -0 . Yet we just haven't done enough,we look.so pedestrian,it's really missing the pace of Leon and the nusiance and creativity of buendia .

Yep. Our next kit should be beige
-
Best performance of the season so far. Comfortable all over the pitch, just need a bit more quality in the final third required.
Why was the goal ruled out?
The ball went out of play before swinging back in.
-
Best performance of the season so far. Comfortable all over the pitch, just need a bit more quality in the final third required.
Why was the goal ruled out?
Ball was wide
-
This has a feel of an Ollie Watkins 74th minute goal, followed by a crap 82nd minute, deflected Lanzini equaliser, about it.
-
Albeit it was Man City, but yesterday I counted 7 of their own players in the opposition box for one of the goals.
We've got to get more bodies running into the box.
We've got the two strikers constantly in the box, Cash and Digne (outside of that corner) don't cross it with enough height so it's easy for their CBs to clear.
-
There were some nice moments of link up between Coutinho and Luiz earlier on. That was encouraging. is Luiz and Kamara the way forward then?
-

Agree with this and your comment on Konsa and Chambers. The only thing missing is a bit more movement from the front two. Coutinho is having one of his better games but he's being forced to thread it wide where a cross follows where we have one player in the box against there back 3 or 4. Pointless exercise.
-
There were some nice moments of link up between Coutinho and Luiz earlier on. That was encouraging. is Luiz and Kamara the way forward then?
Yep - we actually have the ability to control the midfield when they play together. Kamara had one or two excellent moments of sniffing out danger which Luiz would never have done had he been the deepest midfielder.
-
Albeit it was Man City, but yesterday I counted 7 of their own players in the opposition box for one of the goals.
We've got to get more bodies running into the box.
I remember when Tactics Tim came in. For a brief period that was one noticeable and positive difference he made is that were overloading the penalty area in attack. An eternity ago now. But I genuinely can’t recall if when we have done that at PL level. Are we that concerned of the counter that we are afraid to send more bodies in through the middle to attack the ball. Opponents have to come back to defend it. We are always more hopeful than anything every time we send the ball forward than attacking with any real design.
-
There were some nice moments of link up between Coutinho and Luiz earlier on. That was encouraging. is Luiz and Kamara the way forward then?
With what we currently have at the club yes.
Ramsey has far more scoring threat than McGinn these days so he really should come back in at Arsenal as attacking midfielder of the trio.
-
If we still haven't scored then Buendia and Bailey should be on after 60 mins.
-
There were some nice moments of link up between Coutinho and Luiz earlier on. That was encouraging. is Luiz and Kamara the way forward then?
I'd like to see Luiz given a run in the McGinn role.
-

I've seen enough of Ramsey for a while, for now. I'd consider Buendia for that role perhaps.
-
Buendia, Bailey and Archer on for Coutinho, Ings and Watkins after 70 minutes. Won't happen, though.
-
Dear God McGinn looks like a pub player at times today. Like everything about him is too slow for this level.
-
Dear God McGinn looks like a pub player at times today. Like everything about him is too slow for this level.
He looks like he's playing in clogs.
-
Dear God McGinn looks like a pub player at times today. Like everything about him is too slow for this level.
He looks out of his depth. Hesitant, predictable, head down versus head up. I hate to see it because we all love him for who he is and what he’s done. But he’s not a PL player in my opinion. The game passes him by and those balls over the top are so low percentage options yet he keeps on doing it and we almost always lose possession immediately
-
They are tight at the back but we've not nothing for our final ball.
-
Great little spell from us then. Coutinho was central to all that of that. Encouraging.
-
No creativity whatsoever. Constantly looking to push it out wide for shit hopeful cross after shit hopeful cross.
-
Are they going to scab a goal and defend like fuck?
-
The defence has been excellent today.
-
Crowd needs to give them a lift. Sounds like the Etihad in there.
-
Can’t the manager see this tactic of constantly shit crossing or hopefully punts doesn’t work?
-
Best performance of the season so far. Comfortable all over the pitch, just need a bit more quality in the final third required.
Why was the goal ruled out?
Corner went out of play prior to the player
-
Crowd calling for Emi B. SG will be fuming.
-
Two mind numbingly boring teams.
Fucking hell Villa, step it up
-
Konsa and McGinn are our biggest problem today (maybe generally)
-
Rice deserves a yellow.
We need Buendia and Bailey on.
-
McGinn. Feck off!!!!!
-
Fucking hell. McGinn needs to come off right now.
-
Digne surprises me with how loose his touches and passes can be.
-
Best defence recovery i have seen
-
Fantastic tackle Digne, well done.
-
Mcginn fucking rubbish.. get him off
-
But then he puts THAT tackle in. Fucking hell!
-
Get captain off... ffs just that we are saying that means Gerrard isn't in touch with the game
-
I think Gerrard might need to make a sub or two
-
I'm surprised Ramsey isn't playing.
-
McGinn is obviously flustered
-
McGinn’s treading in treacle now, fresh player needed
-
I think Gerrard might need to make a sub or two
I think he might need to take his woeful brand of football somewhere I don't have to watch it.
-
Fans doing the best to help
-
Crowd calling for Emi B. SG will be fuming.
Only if it wakes him up.
-
I suppose with the game on Wednesday as well and then another next Saturday maybe keeping players back for that.
-
This has 1 - 0 West Ham written all over it
-
Cash is awesome today
-
I suppose with the game on Wednesday as well and then another next Saturday maybe keeping players back for that.
Winning this is more important
-
I suppose with the game on Wednesday as well and then another next Saturday maybe keeping players back for that.
We need them now, not for those write-off games.
-
Thank you to those who sent me a pm. Much appreciated.
-
Calling Buendia & Bailey…
-
Time for a change, Gerrard.
-
Thank you to those who sent me a pm. Much appreciated.
Any chance you could forward?
-
I suppose with the game on Wednesday as well and then another next Saturday maybe keeping players back for that.
If that were right, which I don't think it is, he'd go down even further in my estimation.
-
Coutinho down injured
-
Hamstring?
-
Thank you to those who sent me a pm. Much appreciated.
I second that.
-
Gerrard waiting until we concede before making changes?
-
Kamara is so far ahead of the rest of our midfield, it's embarrassing.
-
Thought we had took mcginn off then ,it was west hams
-
Coutinho off for Buendia, JJ on for Luiz.
-
Here come the subs.
Fingers crossed game changers.
-
Saw the number 7 going off and felt elation.
Sadly it was a West Ham sub.
-
Give Ramsey a run for McGinn too
-
Changes must be made now. Emi2 coming on, excellent.
-
Starting McGinn was stupid.
Waiting to 64 mins before Buendia comes on even more stupid. Had Buendia started we would be out off sight against this WH side.
-
Give Ramsey a run for McGinn too
Give frankie goes to Hollywood a run for McGinn.
-
Doug has been way better than McGinn so who gets substituted? Gimme a break.
-
Dougie didn't look too happy
-
Ffs Luiz was playing well
-
Luiz should have stayed on and McGinn should have been making way. McGinn has done nothing positive this game.
-
Give Ramsey a run for McGinn too
Give frankie goes to Hollywood a run for McGinn.
Relax.
-
Who?
-
Why is it only Gerrard (and some people who haven’t watched us since the championship) who can’t see how bad McGinn is?
-
McGinn stays on. Mind boggling stupid.
-
McGinn stays on, despite being comfortably our worst player.
It seems a bit of a weird hill for Gerrard to die on, really.
-
How on earth are we changing Luiz and not McGinn there. Madness.
-
Classic poor management, decide to make mcginn as captain, then refuse to accept it wasn't a clever choice
-
And get Archer on, ffs.
-
Kicking towards the Holte, it's been a while since I've seen such bland attempts to attack.
-
And get Archer on, ffs.
Yes, please. Ings never does anything after half time.
-
I’m embarrassed for my ten year-old son who has McGinn on the back of his shirt.
-
Ffs Luiz was playing well
He had a good first half but anonymous in second I thought. I'd get Archer on now too, front two have been hopeless.
-
Get bailey on ffs
-
And get Archer on, ffs.
This. I'm going for a shower. Hopefully he'll come on, win us the game and I'll miss it all.
-
Luiz should have stayed on and McGinn should have been making way. McGinn has done nothing positive this game.
He's kept Rice out the game until now.
-
I would swap the front 2 for Bailey and Archer and see what pace does for 20 minutes.
-
I fucking love Buendia. Just saying.
-
West Ham score lulz
-
I wish we had a neves in midfield. We’ve got McGinn s… John McGinn.
-
It had to happen.
-
Ffs
-
Lucky c**ts.
-
We really are shit and are going absolutely nowhere under this clown. West Ham are not a great side.
-
And as sure as night follows day! Wank!!!
-
There we go.
-
Well, that was no surprise.
-
Gerrard out
-
Written in the stars. Gerrard out - if he cant see it about Mcginn then he's clueless.
-
Oh bloody hell
-
We need urgent changes. Not substitutes, but manager wise.
We’re in the shit if we don’t.
-
Fuck off.
Useless. Gerrard out please.
-
And that, now, is game over.
-
Get out of my club, Gerrard, you f*^%stain!
-
Although, where he took the shot from, Luiz was standing until about five minutes ago.
-
Good bye Steven. You are a cancer on our club
-
Fcukin bolx.
-
Konsa deflection. But whatever.
-
I was just thinking Konsa had been playing well.
-
Why isn’t he changing our forward option, this game is there for the taking.
Ah fuck……and there it is.
-
That was always going to happen.
-
Konsa just dropped, rather than pull full figure. F.off
-
Game over
-
I was just thinking Konsa had been playing well.
Seriously? He hasn't had a good game this season
-
We all knew how this game would go. That we've been better than I thought was a surprise, but Gerrard's Villa return to form.
-
Of course, he's had a full pre-season but I suppose the team needs to gel.
-
You need some points or some goals come play Aston Villa. We are fucking shit. It’s almost impossible take this shit anymore
-
And still McGinn is on. SG really is a massive twat.
-
Given the squad we have, Gerrard is the worst manager I have ever seen.
-
Reading and hearing that's a terrible goal to give up.
And an unfortunate detour of the ball over Martinez.
And the commentator says it was coming and everyone here says we are struggling.
It's really concerning now with 10 minutes remaining
-
Still…it gets easier with Man City and Arsenal next up. We are absolutely fucked
-
Good bye Steven. You are a cancer on our club
Too far.
-
Although, where he took the shot from, Luiz was standing until about five minutes ago.
Exactly this, Kamara and Luiz were in total control of the midfield, terrible decision to take him off and seemed entirely because he didn't dare take McGinn off who has been really poor.
-
Taxi for Gerrard!
-
What do you expect when keeping playing McGinn, start Ings and Watkins together and don’t start Buendia.
Maybe he wants the sack. That’s the only logical conclusion.
-
You can see the why WH haven’t scored a goal this season.
Worse than Everton.
Don’t like these sort of cocky posts, given our current form. Why tempt fate?
Because there is no such thing as fate, luck, or astrology!!
Well played boys, well played.
We easily beat these, they’re shot. I can see why theyve been so shit all season they’re shit.
-
This is awful. Why the hell are we not giving Archer a go.
-
Gerrard is his own worst fucking enemy.
Keeps doing the same things that DO NOT WORK time and time again.
-
They look much more likely to get a 2nd here.
-
GERRARD OUT!
-
This is fucking excruciating.
-
A truly fucking shit West Ham are completely outplaying us at home. But it's only
2 3 4 games...
-
I've nothing but disdain for Gerrard. He was a ****** as a player and he's a ****** as a manager. And a crap ****** at that.
Fucking pea sized headed ******.
Crap tactics, crap formations, crap tweaks, crap favourites, crap energy levels, crap stats. ******
-
Gerrard is his own worst fucking enemy.
Keeps doing the same things that DO NOT WORK time and time again.
What was it Einstein said about the definition of madness....?
-
Whe nits not working change it, get Cam on
-
Good bye Steven. You are a cancer on our club
Too far.
Agreed. He’s just a really shit manager.
-
:-\Agent Gerrard
-
Given the squad we have, Gerrard is the worst manager I have ever seen.
I must admit he is every bit as bad as tactics Tim and Lamberk.
Hasn't a clue. Tactics Shape Subs
-
He's going to be gone soon.
He ain't good .
Best squad in years and he hasn't got a clue ,seems to be fucking everyone off .
Putting players in the bomb squad while losing money on them .
Playing the out of form player as captain
Our best player never starting
It's looking desperate
-
What do you expect when keeping playing McGinn, start Ings and Watkins together and don’t start Buendia.
Maybe he wants the sack. That’s the only logical conclusion.
Totally mystifying isn’t it? I just hope we pull the trigger on SG before Mings leaves the club. I’ve been critical of Tyrone but we look better with him on the pitch. And if I were John McGinn I would be embarrassed to pull on the arm band every week.
-
Ings is shit up front. Watkins is shit up front. Played together they're shit up front. Give Archer a chance you coward, Gerrard.
-
Christ I need to do some decorating and watching my handiwork take shape over the next few days.
-
Thing is, who on earth would even think Gerrard is worth keeping?
And also, most of these players were utter shite for Smith towards the end of his reign. And they've been shit for pretty much all of Gerrard's time, also.
No fucking pride in their performances. Garbage.
-
People called me a blue nose and a moaner for seeing what this idiot has done. He has destroyed all the hard work Bruce and Smith done with the club brining back Stability.
Purslow out
Gerrard out
Owners need to sort it out FAST
-

The thought had crossed my mind, but unlikely for someone with such a massive ego.
-
I feel like we've totally lost any rhythm or control that we had. The changes haven't helped. All he had to do was bring Buendia on.
-
Doesn't matter who you play up front if you create fuck all for them.
-
It’s typical of us to be having to pot a manager with no time for a replacement to buy any players.
-

Purslow out

Nah, that's because what we call people in my country idiotar. Not sure how to translate
-
Thing is, who on earth would even think Gerrard is worth keeping?
How many players improved and went up in value under Smith? (And yes Deanos time was up). Answer Most
Ask same q of Gerrard - None
-

At last you are making sense.
-
The owners ain't giving him any more money now .
Save it to sack him
-
Penalty check, for Villa
-
Negative were a bunch of championship players.
Positive The balance sheet looks great
-
Not given.
Archer on for McGinn, for a whole 3 mins
-
Penalty check, for Villa
never
-
Archer on.
What’s the point?
-
Oh brilliant. Archer gets 3 minutes.
-
Thing is, who on earth would even think Gerrard is worth keeping?

Gerrard isn't cut from the same cloth as Smith.
-
It's like he's taking the piss - bringing Archer on in injury time?
-
Archer on.
What’s the point?
Should have been on 20 minutes ago.
-
Anyone who thinks Gerrard will take us higher than 14th this season is deluded. He is absolutely clueless.
-
FT.
What a load of shit.
-
Enough! Out!
-
Archers got three minutes
-
Martinez looks pissed off. That was utter, hopeless, directionless shite. Gerrard out.
-
It's like he's taking the piss - bringing Archer on in injury time?
He's a fucking idiot. Had enough now.
-
I predicted it at half time, they made changes early we didn't, Gerrard is a chancer and should be sacked tonight, we will be bottom in the next two weeks. Why bring Archer on with three minutes left? Ings should have come off after half time. This guy is no better than Smith in fact I think we've got a down grade. Don't wait until it's too late get rid now this guy will get us relegated.
-
Get potter asap
-

ha ha would take 14th now
