Matty Cash is a shoo-in for this season isn’t he
Or am I reading the room all wrong again
-
I can only think of Cash and Ramsey that have shown any kind of consistency.
-
He'd get my vote. Ramsey for young player.
-
Yeah, that would be my two.
-

Shocked, thought you’d have gone for Mcginn 😊
-
Matt Targett?
-
Cash
Ramsey (Young Player)
-
Mings is in with a shout too. Cash has been the most consistent.
-
Cash
Ramsey (Young Player)
Agreed
-
Would agree with the Cash and Ramsey (young player) shouts for sure.
Both seem to have developed further under Gerrard.
-
As much as I was giving him pelters earlier in the season, Matty Cash has made a turnaround of Matt Targett-esq proportions this season. He'd get my vote.
And yep, agree on Ramsey for Young Player (though personally, I think he's gone a little off the boil recently and needs a couple of games out of the side to gather himself).
-
Cash as Player and Ramsey as Young Player would be agreeable. I wouldn't be devastated if Ramsey won both, though.
-
Cash.
-
Cashy all day long. What a fantastic purchase. Love him.
-
Don't see the fuss with Cash. Decent at best, positionally improving but still doesn't get enough crosses in.
Ramsey by a country mile.
-
Has to be Cash for me - much improved on last season.

Cash.
the rest. Meh.
-
Cash is king this season.
-
Amazed folk think Ramsey has had less impact on our season than Cash.
-
Amazed folk think Ramsey has had less impact on our season than Cash.
He hasn't, but he is still player of the season.
-
Cash, Ramsey, no other contenders.
-
Not really been that impressed with any of them.
Cash might just scrape it. I do like a fullback who can score
-
Cash for me, been consistent all season and works hard every game. Ramsey for young player when the results come out.
Payer of the year will be between Emi, Tyrone, Ramsey, Cash and Coutinho.
If there are 3 categories that is?
-
Cash with Ramsey a close second. The rest can all win the most inconsistent trophy, except Mings who I think has been mostly excellent with only a few brain farts this season.
-
Thin Gruel
Agree with most, Cash mention for Ramsey
Rest urgghh
-
Aston Villa are ranked 6th for clean sheets in the pl this season, which is an impressive stat given how meh we've been.
So for this reason I'd suggest Mings or Martinez with JR as the young player of the season.
-
It would be funny if we voted fro Matt Targett!
-
Cash and Ramsey for player and young player of the year.
-
Cash followed by Mings for player of the season.
In the easiest decision of all time, Ramsey for young player.
-
Don't see the fuss with Cash. Decent at best, positionally improving but still doesn't get enough crosses in.
Ramsey by a country mile.
Yup.

Yup.
Cash has been really good all season. Ramsey has been great a lot of the time, but I think he's gone off the boil a bit of late.
-
Ramsey would get my vote.
-
I can't see a better candidate than Cash. Endless energy and commitment, and very consistent this season too.
-
Ramsey for me.
-
POTY: Cash
YPOTY: Ramsey
Honourable mention: Martinez
-
Dirty cash I want you for me.
JJ for Young player.
-
Bailey...
-
Catty Mash (PotS)
JJ (YPotS)

Cash has improved and offers some goal and assist threat to be fair. Hopefully he carry that on.
Cash has got discipline issues needs to read the game better. Too many yellow cards or fouls that should be cards.
-
23 other players have committed more fouls than Cash. Only 5 players have made more tackles. He doesn't commit too many fouls at all.
-
I think he meant Ramsey.
-
He specifically references Cash.
-
Inference from the quoted post. Cash then Ramsey.
-
Probably wrong.
-
Cash and Ramsey have both improved a lot this season. Mings has been solid enough. Most of the others have been average to poor.
-
Cash for POTY and Ramsey for young player. Mings has been ok too but no-one else has really stood out.
-
I voted for Mings. Largely consistent and a proper leader
It says a lot about the season that it is hard to pick the Player of the Year for the wrong reasons this season (no standout candidates) whereas last season it was hard to pick for the right reason (loads or candidates). So many players have gone backwards, Konsa, Martinez, Targett, El Ghazi (who didn't get much of a chance in fairness to him).
-
If there was no 'Young Player' award, would people still vote for Cash over JJ? Seems a bit patronising to credit Ramsey just for doing well for a young player when he's actually the only player we've had capable of driving us forward with the ball at his feet and scaring the opposition.
-
Still Cash for me.
-
I'd give it Martinez, he's still been brilliant for the most part. Cash 2nd and Ramsey third.
-
1. Martinez
2. Cash
3. Ramsey
-
Jacob Ramsey wins Young Player.
-
Dirty cash I want you for me.
JJ for Young player.
Does he have a song?
-
Jacob Ramsey wins Young Player.
And the Players' Player Award.
-
Dirty cash I want you for me.
JJ for Young player.
Does he have a song?
It's the "he's one of our own" one.

Ha! I meant Matty Dirty Cash
-
I need to actually read posts properly!
He's got "the Polish Cafu" song.
-
Matty Cash for me has improved greatly this season and can see him adding even more goals next season.
-
POTS. Martinez and Cash are difficult to split but I think Emi just shades it because of his fantastic saves.
YPOTS Ramsey
But I just saw the film of Magic Phil being announced at what looks like a big event, by Purslow, so I guess this has been decided!
-
Emi Buendia PotS
Cash most consistent performer
Jacob Ramsey most improved
-
Matty Cash wins Supporters' POTY.
-
The players knew that Jacob was best all-round.
-
Happy to see both recognised.
