To be fair to Dean Smith it was when SJM couldn't stop scoring for Scotland that Dean decided to play him further forward, i.e. in his best position. We have Steve Clark to thank more than anybody.

Norwich are abysmal, Smith’s got no chance there.
They're a poor squad but they're already showcasing many of the hallmarks of Smith's (lack of) management - low press, poor in transition, acres of space between midfielders for teams to pass through. It feels like we are playing the role of the kind of team that beat us too many times over the last few years.
