Assuming these are all sold out long before they go on general sale, if anyone has one or two tickets for this game that they subsequently can't use then I will take them off your hands. Full cover price plus postage paid.
Would be nice to be able to get to a local(ish) to me away game for a change...
-
I have seen a chart that shows Watford tickets on sale today but no sign on the Official Site. Does anyone know what is happening?
-
I presumed they go on sale at 5pm. But only presuming.
-
Nothing on the website. We've not been asked to renew the away scheme yet either.

Vila has tweeted that they will not go on sale today. Further news to follow.

What did we have for the 19/20? I'm sure I paid 25 quid to be in something for that.

We didn't. They abandoned the away scheme or 'away season ticket' for 2019-2020. They just brought did it on games attended the previous season.
-
Must have been the cup scheme then.
-
If tickets go on sale and anyone would like to help me get an adult and child - or 2 adults - I’d be really grateful. After Martyn, of course.
-
I'm looking to build up my nippers away record this year with a view to him comimg next. Not a huge help, but I'd be willing to give his reference up for a child ticket should ever anybody need it when it comes down to season ticket holders.
-
So will it be on fastest finger first to get a ticket for this game (if / when) they go on sale?
-
No, they'll do 18 aways, 15, 12 etc.
-

Because the season didn’t run with full fans, so you couldn’t get to ever away game in the Covid season of 19/20, away tickets are on sale to fans with 12 + away, references then 10+. Don’t think it will go past that tbh
-
You're right. Newcastle and Liverpool were the last ones we bought away tickets for, so guess it could go to the full 16 aways, as we had 3 more after that.
It will be popular anyway.
-
Are Watford giving us the usual allocation or are away fans restricted because of Covid?
-
i would like to see a ballot for each away game so that season ticket holders can apply - it would then give other fans the chance to go to away matches
Most fans can never see their team play an away game unless it is a final at Wembley

No.
Sure as a season ticket holder you'll be able to get a ticket to Norwich away, mid-week in December. That way you get to build your history and go to an away that isn't Wembley. They'll be other fixtures like that too that reach general sale.
-
Mixture of regulars/ballots is the way to go. Now Bournemouth aren't in the league you can easily give the 2,000 or so fans who want to go to every game their away membership, while still leaving at least 1,000 free every game for those who aren't lucky enough to have the time/money to do that.
-
Is it bad to say that I’ve booked hospitality at Watford on the assumption that as a STH with a modest away record I couldn’t see myself getting near a ticket - assuming this will be a) very popular and b) one of the smaller allocations.
-
2,200 according to Google. Pretty tinpot.
-
I can’t afford to go to 15 away games every season and with work I cannot take complete days off to attend away games
But I am a season ticket holder and it would be nice to be given the chance to get a ticket occasionally
Just a question if you have not renewed your season ticket but have the away history of attending 15 games 2 seasons ago will you still be able to buy away tickets? If the answer is yes I may be able to buy away tickets from a guy I used to work with
-
So you want the system changing to suit your convenience for the 4 games you might attend? Sounds reasonable.
-
Yes I do - everyone wants there own way😀
-
Attending away games is a bit of a closed shop. One of the big problems is that regular attendees who qualify for a ticket still get tickets for games they can't attend.
They pass these tickets on (or let somebody use their reference). This is great for the buyer as he/she gets to attend a game but they have no chance of building up a history.
It does however maintain the booking history of the person who isn't going. Not saying I haven't used someone else's reference myself but its not really right.
You shouldn't really be allowed to buy a ticket if you are not going. More games would then reach the lower tiers of booking history.
-
Every club in the league should be required to give 20,000 away tickets to the team that invented the Football League.

Spot on. I’ve also taken advantage of tickets being sold to get to away games but obviously not to the credit of my own booking history.

And more if you play with three centre halves, think of it as an entertainment tax.
-
That's only fair.
-
Any idea when these go on sale?

Just been announced Monday 5pm to STH with 12+ always from 19/20.
-
Thanks, hope it drops to 10+, I have a feeling I may not get a ticket. After the time we have had I guess all of the 12+ will want a ticket, don't blame them.
-
Same situation. We shall see.
-
Just under 2,300 tickets, what criteria do we think it will go to. I’m at 8+ aways right now. Surely it would get to that?
-
First of all why such a low allocation, secondly will probably go first shout you have an allowance of missing 2 games (1'm on 13 and bought a ticket not showing on my history for Bournemouth). I still think this is the only logical way Villa can distribute.

The allocation is in line with PL guidelines, i.e. 10% of ground capacity with a maximum of 3000. Vicarage Road holds approx. 22,200.
-
First tickets for away game in 16 months.
-
£30 per ticket. What happened to the £20 away tickets in the PL, or was that a dream?
-
There was a campaign to reduce them to £20, the league announced a cap of £30.
-
It's been capped at £30 for a while now. Works out a lot cheaper when Yanited and Chelsea were charging £50+.
-
They capped them at £30 the second we got relegated, as I recall. So Premier League fans were paying thirty quid maximum while those greedy brass band twats Sheffield Wednesday were charging us forty quid to attend their away end which should have been condemned.

You're spot on there, brought back a bitter memory. We get relegated and instantly pay the most expensive prices in the country for away fans. Only Leeds were charged as much as that.
-
Just logged onto AVFC to get ready for 10+ away references for Watford and it says sold out. I understand as first away in ages, and if you went to more away games than me, fair play. I missed out on Chelsea ballot, and now Watford, such is life.
-
Are there still going to be ballots for matches with bigger away ends?
-
Dont know to be honest, not much of answer ha,ha! You would think so
-
Also missed out today. Any spares I will willingly buy.
-
Should only be Brentford where its a small capacity.
-
I've decided to pull my request for any spare tickets as on reflection I agree with the notion that it is fairer that unusable tickets cascade down the tiers rather than go to whichever chancer grabs them first.
I just keep an eye out with each game. Maybe at larger grounds like Spurs and West Ham there'll be sufficient away capacity for everyone who wants one.
I guess I'll just go with my Bluenose missus for their simultaneous game H Stoke. Don't worry, I've got a big box of Flash wipes...
-
problem with capping prices for tickets £30 is a fair price for most I suppose, is that every club has ended up with the bare minimum that the home club needs to give. Why give the Villa 4,000 tickets when only need to give 3,000 and can sell the 1,000 difference to home fans for a total of £10,000 more.
-
Yeah, we could do with fucking off all these poxy ground Southern clubs and bringing back the Lancastrian and Yorkist clubs with their grounds far too big for them so you get about 8,000 tickets if you want them.
Get yer fingers out Blackburn/Wigan/Preston/Hull/Bolton. It might be some time before we see the latter, admittedly.
-
Season ticket holders and members can enter a ballot for Watford from 9am tomorrow.
-
Anyone else having problems buying their ticket online? I keep getting error messages

Club have tweeted there is a problem with them taking payments online and over the phone at the moment, they are working on it.

Thanks. I’m guessing it’s the incoming £100m that’s choking the payments system?

Anyone having trouble entering the away tickets ballot? Having clicked on the available buttons, intending to enter the ballot, it's indicating I have bought one ticket for nothing, and have to attend Villa Park to collect it.; which is clearly all a nonsense.

I'm not sure, but it might be just to enter the ballot...
I got myself and my mate a slot in the ballot with no problems

Did you follow it through with ticking the terms and conditions? It then says submit and you're all good
-
I did do that, yes, but then it just informed me that I was buying one ticket for nothing, to be collected from VP, and not that I was entering the ballot.
-
Entered the ballot - i have as much chance of getting a ticket as winning the lottery
-
about 100 or so tickets left in the home end on general sale if anyone fancies sitting on their hands.
-
any spares or cancellation tickets for this please message me
-
I did not get a ticket in the ballot or win the lottery!!
-
Still a couple of hundred tickets on general sale in the home end, which is strange considering it's their first game back in the Premiership and their ground barely holds more than 20,000.
-
When do they announce ballot winners? I didn't apply this time but just wondering. Bit rubbish if it is only a couple of days before the game considering how much trains cost if you don't book in advance

They announced them Monday afternoon.

Thanks. Still not great, in terms of planning ahead, but can't be helped I suppose. Be nice if they get, say, Newcastle on sale nice and early as I don't fancy paying five times as much on the train if I decide to go.
