Take the quiz (https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/february/Quiz-Are-you-a-true-Villan-/)
-
13/15. I got the Charlie Aitken one wrong and my knowledge of our women’s team isn’t good!
-
Also 13, unlucky for me!
-

I fared better when Aston Villa was a specialist subject on mastermind.
Alas no video...

15, 2 guesses Ipswich and Charlie Aitken appearances
-
11, feel embarrassed now
-
14. Couldn’t remember the number of wins Villa Women had last season.
-
12. I feel ashamed.
-
14, didn't guess Charlie Aitken but lucky with the women's wins and first goalscorer under Smith (although I remembered the opposition).
-
Got 11 , would have been 12 , but changed my mind about the date we moved to Villa Park.

Only got one wrong. About the European cup final scorer..
-
15/15 - guessed the women's team question, wasn't sure about the Aitken question, as the numbers were close together, but was certain about the rest.
-
9/15
I reckon most the SHA fans I know would have done better. But that wont surprise anyone
-
Thirteen out of fifteen for me. The two I got wrong were the women's team question and the Dalian's goal question.
I don't know what I was thinking with the Dalian goal question. A car load of us were hit by another car driving in the wrong direction on the way back from the game. We ended up in hospital where eveyone needed some treatment except me as I had been cushioned by being the middle passenger in the back seat, my mates car was written off and my old man had to come and rescue us. Luckily we could all squeeze into his Ford Sierra estate and go home the same night. They wanted to keep my one mate in overnight but they lat him go when we convinced the doctors that his wife was a nurse, which she genuinely was.

A disappointing 10/15 for me. Most surprising was Ron Saunders being our longest serving manager. I went for Joe Mercer which seems daft now. I'm amazed that any Villa fan especially on this forum didn't know how many FA cups we've won and the big one... who scored the goal to win us the European Cup. 3% went for Mortimer and the same for Cowans.
-
9. Deary me.
-
10.
Intertoto for me
-
10/15 had to visit SHA to get help with some of those.
-
11 got the woman one wrong , dalian , charlie and tammy Abraham ..
oh well // UTV
-
12, missed out on Aitken, Villa Ladies and DS 1st match goal scorer.

Exactly the same from me.

10/15, and made exactly the same Mercer/Saunders mistake. Knew Mercer was from the 50s/60s but didn't know the years so took a wild guess that he'd been about longer.
-
15 but I guessed Charlie’s appearances and would likely get it wrong next time. The Women’s wins question is the only fact I know about our team.
-
12. Loads of Blues fans who entered scored 15. I feel ashamed.
-
13. Got the women's question wrong (I'm trying to pay more attention this season) and the longest-serving manager question too. Went for Vic Crowe on the latter, idiotic in hindsight.
-
8- but my fat fingers fkd up three, so I’m claiming 11!
-
12. Women, Tammy and Manager were my downfall. Not happy about the manager one, but the name I was expecting wasn't up there.

George Ramsay? That's who I expected it to be an'all if so.
-
Ramsey's a good shout, though he wasn't a 'manager'.
15/15, but I had to guess Charlie's numbers.
-
They mention that they haven't counted Ramsey, as he was Technically Club Secretary, rather than Manager.
Didn't actually have a Manager until the 1930s.

Does that mean that, if Dean Smith stays for 7 more seasons, he won't be the longest serving manager either? Because he's head coach.

Yep exactly him. Ah well. Let's hope Mr Smith gets that record.
