Beating the Albion in the first leg of the playoff semis. What a day!

Great day. I miss Tammy.
-
The atmosphere was wonderful, as we turned the screw against an unbelievably negative Albion side in the second half.
Why sack Pulis if you're just going to play in exactly the same way?
-
Great day in the sun. Very late night the night before but nothing like a victory to act as a hangover cure. Remember saying "see you at Wembley" to all and sundry on my way home and knowing it was true!
-
A corker of a day. I remember saying to my nephew about 15-20 minutes before kick off that the crowd felt subdued and we were losing out by playing the home leg so early in the day.......

I didn't realise that Jimmy Shand was a 'nose 'till I heard his interview on WM post match. Full off bitterness and incredulous claims about what we had just seen.
Fuckin' tit.
-
Unbelievable stupidity by the Albion manager, can't be arsed to check his name, not to substitute Gayle. He must have been the only person in the ground who hadn't noticed that he was gonna get himself sent off.

Unbelievable stupidity by the Albion manager,
Makes sense really.

He seemed to set them up to play us exactly as the rags always do, huff and puff, cynical fouls, set pieces, we all know the drill.
It was strange though, that's not a bad option when your team is vastly inferior (as is the case in 95% of Villa - Blues games), but that wasn't the case with them.
Still, thanks anyway mug.

Yep, two twenty-goal strikers in his team and he plays one as a midfielder.
Just review the footage of Conor's superb strike for the equaliser and you can count TEN Bitters defending in their own penalty area. Of course, one or two of them might have come out of the box to close Hourihane down, but they were probably under instructions not to do that much attacking!!
