We've tended to have winnable home draws in last few years but concentrated on the league more.

Personally I'd like a decent run in this, can only help build the club again to the level it used to be at.

Given we're back in the prem away to Man. United of course although after today that's not one you'd fear as much.

Actually getting them at VP would be the time to end the jinx.

A tie against a small club lower down the pyramid.

Like Albion or Small Heath.  ;)

On second thoughts why should we give them their biggest crowd/payday of the season.

Any of Newport, Northampton or Fleetwood away, please.

Newport knocked Leicester out in third round last year. Previous year they held Spurs to 2-2. Their pitch is a bit of a nightmare in the winter so would prefer to avoid that sort of tie or just play them at VP which they'd probably rather want.

Being ball number 3 can't be worse than being ball number 2. We haven't won it in so long.

Title: Re: FA Cup 3rd round

It changed when AFC Bournemouth got promoted to the second tier. All Premier League and Championship clubs are allocated balls 1-44, in alphabetical order, in the Third Round draw.

I was quite pleased when we changed, thinking that ball number two was cursed. Since then the new number two, Arsenal, have won the cup three times. 😔

Hopefully we will have League Cup semis after this so could do with another Mickey Mouse Brightony type team who won't treat it seriously. Allow us to rest a load of players and still go through. Last thing we want is a Blose type bunch of twats who will force us to play our first team and then spend the entire game kicking said first team off the park.

I never want us to face Blues. It’s just a stupid distraction and excuse for them to act the royal bell ends they are for what amounts to be their cup final. They are an irrelevant entity. Not even a club. If they suddenly dissolved into powder and blew away in the wind it would be a tremendous service to humanity.

Bugger. Still pretty much impossible to get away tickets, then. Football needs a system whereby you get up to 50% of tickets if you invented the Football League.

I was down on the Thames on Saturday on the opposite side of the river to the ground. I had no idea it was being redeveloped and the riverside stand is completely gone. I’d load a couple of photos if I knew how.

I imagine we will only get the same allocation as most premier league games, which is a shame.

Glad you boys are looking forward to coming down for the cup game, do you think you’ll take the game seriously? Coming at the end of a busy December and  Christmas period, And do think you  might rest players? It’s a pity clubs don’t seem to take the  cup seriously enough, I would love like go back to Wembley for a  FA cup final only 45years after our one and only cup final appearance!! You seem to be going well in the premiership so maybe you will take it seriously, the riverside stand is a building site at the moment, and the riverside season ticket holders are in the Putney end now, so your probably struggle to get tickets, cup tickets are not on peoples season ticket so they might be few going, I think the away allocation is just under2000, any way merry Xmas and happy new from this Fulham fan.

I'd expect similar to the team we have been putting out in the League Cup. Our third choice keeper (as our second choice is injured), second choice players in most other positions and the likes of McGinn and Grealish on the bench. We are hoping we have a League Cup Semi-Final the following midweek, which might also affect what team we put out at Craven Cottage.

Happy Christmas to you too and especially good luck against Dirty Leeds the weekend before!

Hi Franky, good to hear from you.
I think that we will take it seriously but I also think he will give a few a rest and use some of the squad. I still expect it to be a pretty strong team unless we have been badly struck by injuries.
As CDbully says, the League Cup will have a bearing on selection.
All the best.

Thanks for the input boys, not sure what team we’ll play, in the last three seasons in the cup we played a pretty strong side against premiership teams were outclassed both times, last season we played the reserve team and were outclassed by the mighty Oldham!! Are you confident of beating Liverpool reserves/squad players/ U23? In a way I hope you do as it might our task a bit easier,

We'll get 2800-2900 tickets.

So minus 100?
That made me laugh far more than it should have done!

So minus 100?

Leeds would have taken less.

Londonfranky just concentrate on dismantling West Brom from automatic places leave the cup to us.

Take it seriously? It's the FA Cup and we have a Villa fan as manager.

Yes, in other words

I was down on the Thames on Saturday on the opposite side of the river to the ground. I had no idea it was being redeveloped and the riverside stand is completely gone. I’d load a couple of photos if I knew how.

I imagine we will only get the same allocation as most premier league games, which is a shame.
Paul if you whatsapp those to me I will load  up.

I think this is highly inaccurate. Particularly if we're in the league cup semis in midweek.

We will either be Saturday 1501 or Sunday at 1401 or 1601 then I reckon. I think Sunday is more likely as Derby play Thursday so will be moved to Sunday. That means the police would likely rather keep Chelsea v Forest on Saturday which makes Fulham moving to the Sunday more likely. That would also avoid Villa and Albion being on the same trains, etc.

Long shot, but if anyone has a spare kids reference that would qualify for a ticket then please let me know, as I’d like to take my daughter to her first away game here. Thanks.

Been having a look at this - pretty much no chance of getting a ticket from Villa and Fluham aren't running the neutral end as in years past where I have bought tickets.  However, being a signed up member of Fulham's e-ticketing (to buy aforementioned neutral tickets) I've been looking and can get two in their end (the old nuetral bit) in the seats right nearest our allocation, so maybe will do that and sit on my hands!

Because it's intrinsically linked, mental health and being a minute late for everything.

Cant afford to risk Kodjia now. Never predicted me saying this

Either Tuesday 14th or Wednesdsy 15th January. Either date would be problematic, though, as Villa play the previous Sunday while Fulham play the following Friday. So one team would have to only have a two day break.
