I hate us being number 3. Bournemouth can fcuk off.
-
We've tended to have winnable home draws in last few years but concentrated on the league more.
Personally I'd like a decent run in this, can only help build the club again to the level it used to be at.
Given we're back in the prem away to Man. United of course although after today that's not one you'd fear as much.
Actually getting them at VP would be the time to end the jinx.
-
A tie against a small club lower down the pyramid.
Like Albion or Small Heath. ;)
On second thoughts why should we give them their biggest crowd/payday of the season.
-
Maidstone United please. In the unlikely event they beat Blackpool.
-
More than a feeling, Boston away.
-
Number 49 please
-
Any of Newport, Northampton or Fleetwood away, please.
-
Blues away would be nice.
-
Jealous guys at Home
-
Cov away & the biggest crowd of the season at St Andrew's.
-
I'd like Plymouth at home. My mate is a fan. Haven't played them since 87/88 when I was at school.
-
Home to 25, a formality after today.
-
Any of Newport, Northampton or Fleetwood away, please.
Newport knocked Leicester out in third round last year. Previous year they held Spurs to 2-2. Their pitch is a bit of a nightmare in the winter so would prefer to avoid that sort of tie or just play them at VP which they'd probably rather want.
-
Being ball number 3 can't be worse than being ball number 2. We haven't won it in so long.
Home draw against a team I haven't seen please.
-
Number 5 at home please.
Nah not really, Bristol City at home.
-
Eastleigh at Villa Park please.
-
Solihull Moors away.
-
It makes no difference who we play, our name is on it this season anyway.
-

Just being selfish, mate. Grounds our first team haven’t played at.
-
Girona away please.
-
I’d like a home tie against one of our salty neighbours. Don’t care which one, but Cov would be nice.
-
Ipswich just to beat lamebert
-
Burnley at home. Or whoever we play new year's day, again in the FA Cup.
-
Coventry away
-
Coventry away
do you think we would get the 2000 away allocation we normally get when going there ?
-
I hate us being number 3. Bournemouth can fcuk off.
Agree. Why on earth it's changed now is anyone's guess.
Maybe we should become Aaston Villa
-
It changed when AFC Bournemouth got promoted to the second tier. All Premier League and Championship clubs are allocated balls 1-44, in alphabetical order, in the Third Round draw.
I was quite pleased when we changed, thinking that ball number two was cursed. Since then the new number two, Arsenal, have won the cup three times. 😔
-
Any of the 24 grounds I haven't been to on that list please.
-
Wasn't there a time in the recent past when certain clubs (like Man Utd) were given the lowest numbered balls?
-
Wasn't there a time in the recent past when certain clubs (like Man Utd) were given the lowest numbered balls?
They've certainly had the warmest ones.

You have to be careful which part of the body you put 'Deap Heat' on.
-
If we are to get an away tie, anywhere that we would get a large allocation would be good to give a few more people the chance of getting to an away game at the moment
-
QPR away, I want to keep my record of going there every season for the last 4
-
I hope it's Solihull Moors V Blues. A we hate the vile derby. We hate the vile half and half scarves. We get Coventry away, the highest attendance at the Sty in 10 years or more.
-

I'm not sure Coventry would turn up to be honest...…..their attendance against Ipswich was 2878...…..
-
Great. We can have the home end then!
-
Great. We can have the home end then!
And who is paying for the sheep dip of bleach for everyone afterwards????
-
Either home to the rags, home to manure, home to solihull moors and give them a day out and they can take home a 9-0 whupping. Any other lower league side so I can take my kids for £5 in the New Year.
-
Great. We can have the home end then!
And who is paying for the sheep dip of bleach for everyone afterwards????
Just wear old clothes and burn them afterwards!
-
Hopefully we will have League Cup semis after this so could do with another Mickey Mouse Brightony type team who won't treat it seriously. Allow us to rest a load of players and still go through. Last thing we want is a Blose type bunch of twats who will force us to play our first team and then spend the entire game kicking said first team off the park.
-
I never want us to face Blues. It’s just a stupid distraction and excuse for them to act the royal bell ends they are for what amounts to be their cup final. They are an irrelevant entity. Not even a club. If they suddenly dissolved into powder and blew away in the wind it would be a tremendous service to humanity.
-
Correct.

Oh don't worry the whole town will turn up if it's us they are playing. Touts will be selling tickets at 10x face value all the way along A45.
-
Home to Luton will do me
-
Micah twat Richards in a silly shirt
-
So good to see our hero Micah on the draw.👎
-
Having a Villa legend on the show must be an omen and mean it's our year.
-
So good to see our hero Micah on the draw.👎
Good to see our Micah standing up.
-
Away at Fulham
-
Fulham away. Good day out in London.
-

And Ee aww
-
How dull
-
Fulham away
-
Very underwhelming
-
Excellent, my favourite away trip.
-
We never win there 😧
-
Very underwhelming
This.
-
The first test of us doing a Fulham
-
Cracking trip if you can get tickets.
-
Assume the neutral end will be open.
-
Assume the neutral end will be open.
I'd have thought there's a good chance we'll be given all of that end.
-
They are doing up the stand on the riverside so could be less tickets than usual.
Have Small Heath been knocked out already?
Arf.
-
Blose play Blackburn. I'll be shocked if that attracts a five figure crowd.
-
Blose play Blackburn. I'll be shocked if that attracts a five fingered crowd.
FTFY
-
Blose play Blackburn. I'll be shocked if that attracts a five fingered crowd.
Fixed
-
You snooze, you lose.
-
This will be the same week as our league cup semi final (wink)
-
Tickets will be limited due to the redevelopment, and they don’t do the neutral section anymore.
-
Assume the neutral end will be open.
I'd have thought there's a good chance we'll be given all of that ground.
Fixed.
-
From the start of the 19/20 season, there will no longer be a mixed area at Craven Cottage. Apart from the official away allocation, the Putney End will be Home supporters only.
From Fulham website.
-
We can give a welcome wave to Joe Bryan.....really good decision made by him in August 2018.....
-
Good away day and we should take a few down there.
-
Must only be about 15,000 capacity at the moment.

Bugger. Still pretty much impossible to get away tickets, then. Football needs a system whereby you get up to 50% of tickets if you invented the Football League.
-
Hope we get a biggish allocation, great day, I like the ground, without seeing us win, 1 draw & 2 defeats
-
Their highest attendance this season is 18,186 and they're averaging 17,952 so I assume that just over 18K is their current capacity.
-
Good draw. Looking forward to it.
-

Around 3,000 for us then.
-
According to the Football Ground Guide the capacity is 19000 due to only 3 sides being open. Might still be a struggle for tickets!
-
Cracking trip if you can get tickets.
The Neutral End is your Friend.
Edit. Apparently not it seems. Bugger. I love going to Fulham.
-
Doubt there will be a neutral end for this, we'll get all behind the goal. Just watch BBC or BT move it to Friday night 8pm or Sunday 12pm.
My mate said this on FB too - Villa,WBA,Derby,Forest,Leeds,Stoke,Swansea & Newport all drawn to play in London FA Cup 3rd round weekend. Good luck Met Police

It's only (?) a cup game so home attendance will be much lower than normal.
I assume they will allocate the entire away/neutral end to us?

They deal with things like this every week.
-
Do they let Chelsea and Fulham play at home the same day? Can see one being moved. Probably Chelsea will be moved to the BBC showing sort of live but not really slot on Sunday.
-
Just checked and they both got drawn at home last year and Fulham got moved to the Sunday.
-
I hope they don't move our match to the dreadful Monday. It's a terrible night for away game.
-
Wrong thread.
-
I hope they don't move our match to the dreadful Monday. It's a terrible night for away game.
If we get to the League Cup semis we would be playing the following Tuesday/Wednesday so would be safe from a Monday night game.
-
If we're doing a Fulham in fa cup they lost last year 3rd round 1-0 at home?
Does that mean we win?
Pretty sure that means the universe ends.
I hope I get to post about it first in Celebrity Deathwatch.
-
I was down on the Thames on Saturday on the opposite side of the river to the ground. I had no idea it was being redeveloped and the riverside stand is completely gone. I’d load a couple of photos if I knew how.
I imagine we will only get the same allocation as most premier league games, which is a shame.
-
Glad you boys are looking forward to coming down for the cup game, do you think you’ll take the game seriously? Coming at the end of a busy December and Christmas period, And do think you might rest players? It’s a pity clubs don’t seem to take the cup seriously enough, I would love like go back to Wembley for a FA cup final only 45years after our one and only cup final appearance!! You seem to be going well in the premiership so maybe you will take it seriously, the riverside stand is a building site at the moment, and the riverside season ticket holders are in the Putney end now, so your probably struggle to get tickets, cup tickets are not on peoples season ticket so they might be few going, I think the away allocation is just under2000, any way merry Xmas and happy new from this Fulham fan.
-
I'd expect similar to the team we have been putting out in the League Cup. Our third choice keeper (as our second choice is injured), second choice players in most other positions and the likes of McGinn and Grealish on the bench. We are hoping we have a League Cup Semi-Final the following midweek, which might also affect what team we put out at Craven Cottage.
Happy Christmas to you too and especially good luck against Dirty Leeds the weekend before!
-
Looking forward to doing Fulham.
-
We don't have a great record there time to make that right. Also to get revenge for the play off loss
-
We'll get 2800-2900 tickets.
-
Looking forward to doing Fulham.
But not doing a Fulham.
-
We'll get 2800-2900 tickets.
So minus 100?
-
Hi Franky, good to hear from you.
I think that we will take it seriously but I also think he will give a few a rest and use some of the squad. I still expect it to be a pretty strong team unless we have been badly struck by injuries.
As CDbully says, the League Cup will have a bearing on selection.
All the best.
-
Look forward to our game with Fulham in the FA Cup always a good away day at Fulham.
-
Thanks for the input boys, not sure what team we’ll play, in the last three seasons in the cup we played a pretty strong side against premiership teams were outclassed both times, last season we played the reserve team and were outclassed by the mighty Oldham!! Are you confident of beating Liverpool reserves/squad players/ U23? In a way I hope you do as it might our task a bit easier,
-
We'll get 2800-2900 tickets.
So minus 100?
That made me laugh far more than it should have done!
-
We'll get 2800-2900 tickets.
So minus 100?
Leeds would have taken less.
-

Good to hear Darren and yes I agree, always an enjoyable one.

Fewer.

Londonfranky just concentrate on dismantling West Brom from automatic places leave the cup to us.
-
Take it seriously? It's the FA Cup and we have a Villa fan as manager.
Yes, in other words

Paul if you whatsapp those to me I will load up.

Yes, in other words
I think this is highly inaccurate. Particularly if we're in the league cup semis in midweek.

Good job Tonev ain’t playing, they would need a ball boy in a boat.
-
They could get a coracle, like Shrewsbury.
-
BBC will be televising
Liverpool v Everton Sunday the 5th of January at 16.01
Arsenal v Leeds will Monday the 6th of January at 19:56
BT Sport will televise
Rochdale or Boston United v Newcastle 12.31 on Saturday, 4 January
Wolves v Manchester United 17.31 on Saturday, 4 January
Middlesbrough v Tottenham 14:01 on Sunday, 5 January.
Gillingham v West Ham United 18:16 on Sunday, 5 January
All 32 fixtures will kick-off one minute late to encourage fans to think about looking after their mental health wellbeing or supporting a friend or family member – as part of the Heads Up campaign.
-
We will either be Saturday 1501 or Sunday at 1401 or 1601 then I reckon. I think Sunday is more likely as Derby play Thursday so will be moved to Sunday. That means the police would likely rather keep Chelsea v Forest on Saturday which makes Fulham moving to the Sunday more likely. That would also avoid Villa and Albion being on the same trains, etc.
-
Allocation: 3,135 Tickets
https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2019/12/13/fulham-ticket-info
-
Also confirmed that Chelsea v Forest is on the Sunday so our game confirmed for Saturday at 3.01pm.
-
Long shot, but if anyone has a spare kids reference that would qualify for a ticket then please let me know, as I’d like to take my daughter to her first away game here. Thanks.
-
Been having a look at this - pretty much no chance of getting a ticket from Villa and Fluham aren't running the neutral end as in years past where I have bought tickets. However, being a signed up member of Fulham's e-ticketing (to buy aforementioned neutral tickets) I've been looking and can get two in their end (the old nuetral bit) in the seats right nearest our allocation, so maybe will do that and sit on my hands!
-

Because it's intrinsically linked, mental health and being a minute late for everything.

Cant afford to risk Kodjia now. Never predicted me saying this
-
What would be the date if a relay is needed ?
Either Tuesday 14th or Wednesdsy 15th January. Either date would be problematic, though, as Villa play the previous Sunday while Fulham play the following Friday. So one team would have to only have a two day break.
