The Norwich score is the most accurate thing in that post, and you didn't even get that right.

Wait and See..... :D

I would LOVE for Jose to go to Spurs... he ain't going to Watford or Southampton is he.... he will go where his P45 has the Greatest Return.

That is US !

All I'm saying is that WE were his "One-Of-Two" options.

It may be hard to recognise, but we are the ideal victim for a Predator for a Shark like Jose..... OK  :)

I wasn't aware we were looking for a new manager. I thought that bloke who took us up last season from a mid table position was doing all right. I suppose we could just forget all the money we gave him in the summer transfer market and spend a load more on sacking him, appointing Mourinho and then giving Mourinho about fifty million quid in January, which he would spend one defender.

No way Jose.

Nobody's chasing anybody away.  People can post what they want, and people can post in response to that.

I mostly agree, in particular, if you're going to post criticism of players or managers you're going to have people disagree with you and sometimes, if the opinion you post is particularly extreme, that might feel like a dog pile as lots of people respond to you. No one chased skillz off but a lot of people found some of his posts about Wesley to be completely unfair and called him out on it. You're much more likely to get an echo chamber if people feel they can't disagree for fear of upsetting someone.

The OP finds a link to Mourinho on a football board in an off topic section of a film website and panics.

I hope no-one ever posts anything vaguely ITK in our film thread. That could break the internet.

Being vaguely respectful of another person's right to an opinion doesn't necessarily equate to agreeing. You can disagree with someone - even strongly so - without resorting to "haha look at this guy over here who doesn't toe the line, what a div" or some such variation. Not that I think you do that personally, but there's a tendency on here for people to come circling when they smell blood in the water.

Also, equally, people can choose not to comment - as eamonn has said, there's really no need to always have a go. It tends to be the same people again and again, which tells me more about them than the various people they're piling on.

The only thing I agree with in his statement is that our owners are not here to waste there money, if Dean does not deliver the right results, then we will have new manager.

Respect for someone's right to an opinion and respect for that opinion aren't the same thing and I think the vast majority of comments slagging posts off are due to the latter. Personally I can't ever respect an opinion which thinks calling Wesley 'hop-along' is ok and, for me, that's where everything with him this time started. I'd tried to ignore it and just not post but when he spent a week slagging our player off and tried to pass it off as fair criticism I felt he needed to be called out for it, not because of who he is but because of what he was posting.

I actually wouldn't say it's beyond the realms of possibility to be fair should Smith be struggling in say a month or two.

Mourinho's best friend in football (possibly only friend) John Terry is already in place as assistant remember.

Jose will go after the job where the biggest pot of gold is and most unlimited potential, that's what he does. Other than managing one of the big 6 or us I can't see him anywhere else in the Premiership, can you really see him taking even the Everton job say? I can't.

Our owners will do whatever it takes and make as many cut throat decisions necessary to get us competing at the very top with the amount of money they are throwing at it of that I have no doubt.

I think Deano would have to have a complete 'mare and us be adrift before the owners would consider a change, and even then, I can't see that Mourinho would be the sort off bloke they'd turn to.  I reckon they'd move heaven and earth to try to get somebody like Eddie Howe.

All largely irrelevant though, as we're going to be fine this year.

If Dean doesn’t do well (which he has so far) he will get the sack, and at some point in the future he won’t be Villa manager. Who comes next is anyone’s guess. If the board are looking at all outcomes, good on them. Didn’t want to post on this thread as it’s a bit silly.

Not going to comment on the whole thing but criticising (or supporting) how you think about the club is surely the point of a forum. Sharing opinions and thoughts to be debated is what  we're all here for. How you write is less open for debate but if it makes your opinion unclear then it may be commented on.

They are not spouting racist bollox like some of our local posters. They are not being disrespectful or antagonistic.
They are just posting their thoughts about football and our club.

But, there are some on here who are like fucking bullies, picking on posters who they thinks are  ‘not as smart as them’ or who post in way that that they don’t like.

Sorry mate your putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5. If Jose is planning a return to the Prem theres probably 15 clubs who could be in the running. Theres nothing to suggest that he could be heading to B6. Wild speculation. I'd like to think that Dean & the club share a vision. Everything we've heard from them points to this. Absolutely nothing points to them changing the manager. He is loved by the vast majority of our sensible fanbase, including myself. This thread you've started is pure tittle tattle and idle speculation. Obviously you are entitled to your opinion and so am i. Mine is i think this is shit stirring of the highest order.

Well not just the fact that this is not true but I thought the new model was that if we was to replace the manager it would be for a like minded version so the players and staff remain and not change to someone who is poles apart in the way we are set up to play?

I'm not sure that a few people telling certain posters who repeatedly post things that are inflammatory or widely regarded as nonsense to shut the fuck up is too much different to real life. If we were all regulars down the local pub and a couple of people came in every night pissed up and making a fucking nuisance of themselves then i'm sure people would say it to their face. I'm not sure it equates to bullying, if someone is being targetted for no reason or for reasons outside of their control such as height, weight, sex, sexual orientation, race etc then it's totally unacceptable but i see this as a direct reaction to someone acting up in an attention seeking way. Well, if you try to get peoples attention by acting like a twat i'm afraid you're going to get the wrong sort of attention.
