Well summed up. In over 60 years watching football I have never been at a match like that. One that will be remembered for a long, long time.
One constant for most of those years has been dirty Leeds. I remember Jimmy Greaves saying that Billy Bremner walked across and kicked him in the tunnel while they waited to go onto the pitch at the start of the game.

I really hope that the final sentence of the match report comes true!!!

Excellent article.

I did chuckle seeing Tyrone manhandling two of them out of the way like some imaginary 1940's bobby. He seemed to let go of them once they stopped wriggling.
-
I don't remember a penalty claim for us but that's almost certainly just my deteriorating memory.

Another brilliant read Dave.

Totally agree it was absolutely a stonewall pen. But Bamford wasn't the only one to make a total tit of himself yesterday. Arise Don Goodman. His commentary "never a pen for me. He got the ball and there was minimal contact on the follow through" He gets paid handsomely for such garbage commentary. Someone should start a petition to get that cnut off the telly. Oh and good article Dave.

Ta. Yes, the second angle is conclusive.

'Leeds are a byword for dirty, cynical gamesmanship.'. Funily enough prior to the game when looking at our team selection I was expressing just those fears to a friend.

Classic.

Good press Dave, your description of Bamford's dive was spot on. It's about time the authorities starting taking retrospective action in these cases. Bamford's actions were despicable, intending to unfairly get a player sent off, should get a 3 match ban. I believe this is the only way we can cut out this cancer in the game.

I remember that incident. He went from "he got the ball" from the live commentary to "he got a bit of the ball" on the replay. Seems he has been infected with the anti-Villa virus all footballers seem to pick up when they spend time in Small Heath and Sandwell.

Good article Dave.
Can't understand why a penalty wasn't given for the mugging on JK. Blatant foul.
