This 100% the sort of game and opposition where it could go wrong. I’m thinking 1-1 with a late equaliser for them, but it won’t derail us too much.

Let’s make it a perfect 10 against these animals.

Will they do their usual trick of joyously jumping up and down at the steps of a grand old club steeped in heritage where legends have played announcing their arrival at er..11am on match day

I don't think I have ever seen a Villa team beat Millwall, time to put that right. Fighting for their lives but hopefully we are professional and organised throughout and get that magic ten.

I've been saying for about a month that this will be the one we mess up. Don't seem to play well against Millwall and they have been picking up points.

1-1

A draw will be fine in the circumstances, I'm convinced we will win 1 and draw 2 of our last 3 which will be enough to get us in the play offs.

Gutted to be missing this one. History in the making, so a bit of extra pressure on the boys!

Win this one and we can afford to rest players vrs Leeds, then all out to beat Norwich.

I've a feeling, though, this will be a draw.

I've posted this on the Matchday Travel thread but thought I'd stick a reminder here as well - parking at King Edwards for this game (and Norwich, and all next season) is for permit holders only.

I think we'll win and the atmosphere will be electric.

Grealish again, The Kodge, McGinn.

3-1 Villa.

Isn't the Kodge injured?  Time for Keinan to loosen the shackles and torment Millwall for 90 minutes.

Millwall are a very physical, but technically poor side. They struggled for 60 minutes to create anything against Brentford with 11v10.

Mings gives us the aerial dominance and muscle at the back. As long as we move the ball with some pace, we'll unlock them.

Steer

Taylor
Mings
Tuanzebe
Elmo

Hourihane
McGinn

Green
Grealish
El Ghazi

Kodjia

3-0 Villa.

We don't seem to beat them that often - bit like Wimbledon in the 80s and 90s, until we stuck a eight past them.  Maybe we're overdue giving these cavemen a damn good thrashing.  4-0 us.

If Kodjia plays I'm more confident of the win.

Also depends on having a decent ref who will stop Millwall kicking us off the pitch.

We'll win, 2-1.

The whole team (management and players) seem to be on the same wavelength so expect them to apply the same level of professionalism, focus and determination to put in a good performance and get the result. They all know they have a job to do and they all seem focused to deliver, so hard to see anything other than another win. Davis or Kodjia need to be more clinical and bury their chances if Tammy doesn’t play...something that Tammy, Hourihane and a few others have been guilty of themselves in recent weeks.

3-1 Villa

Going back to the cup humbling under Lambert, we haven't beaten them in 4 attempts, so either they're a sort of bogey team, or we're overdue a win.  I'm going to plump for the latter.  3-1 and history made.

We've played them 34 times since 1900. Won 14, drawn 10 and lost 10.

We've only played them 6 times in the last 30 years though. The most recent 4 post 1990;

2013 - Lost but losing embarrassingly was Lambert's thing.
2017 - Bruce bore draw 0-0.
2018 (May)- we played the reserves on the last day of the season.
2018 (October) - we had KMac in charge.

I'd not call them a bogey team per se. Keep professional and move the ball as we have and we'll drill them.

2-0 Villa. Millwall are unbeaten in the last four with a win and then three draws on the bounce. They are one of those teams who I fancy to win when they are at home bit wouldn't often back them to win away.

I've seen more positive things from Davis in the last couple of games than in his previous appearances.

He's starting to figure out how to use his physical size to influence the game and at times looks like a young (but slow) Heskey.

The missus is a Welsh speaker, and I cop no end of grief about my Brummie pronunciations. She visibly winces whenever I have what I believe is a decent stab at anything. Porthmadog? Wrong. Pwllheli? Wrong. Bangor? Wrong. Our "estate" on the holiday park is called Llyn Village. I'm going with "Thin Village", cos that's as close as she's going to get from me.

Little tiny bit of a win in that her niece, who's just turned eleven and was part of their family exodus up here four and a half years ago, appears to have forgotten everything and pronounces them like us normal folk.

Bristol City, away to Sheffield Wednesday, Boro away to Notts Forest, Derby at home to QPR, Bristol City have got a massive hill to climb in that one, Boro, just wouldn't fancy an away game on this weekend bearing in mind the other fixtures and against Notts Forest, Derby at home to QPR, strangely enough QPR are the kind of team that could pull this out the bag, wouldn't bet against them at least coming away with a point, so if result go our way and we do what we should do, massive game.

I have a place in Morfa Bychan, a mile or 2 out of Porthmadog. Currently enjoying a Staropramen and watching the sunset over Cricieth Castle in the distance.

Will be abandoning the family at around 8am for this one.

Beautiful part of the world. The Llyn peninsula coast path matches anything Cornwall can offer.
2-2 draw, Godfrey & Greenhalgh for us, Cripps & Dunphy for them.

Pembrokeshire is gorgeous, just the right mix, that said, lived in Cornwall for decades, longer than i've lived anywhere else and have to say once you know the little out the way places, its like your in a completely different part the planet, very special indeed, that said if we're being honest I know people that would say the same for the Lake district and the highlands of Scotland, I know a Jamaican lady who spent her honeymoon in the Applecross area around Oban on the west coast of Scotland and said the beaches we're better than the Carribean....opinion.

The highlands are the only place I've ever been and felt awe. Then again, I'm from (near) Telford.
you should go to Nuneaton for a day trip, you’ll be blown away by the jaw-dropping beauty.
Aah Nuneaton... From the rugged beauty of Mount Jud to the sun kissed banks and dappled waters of the River Anker, it is , ahem, of singular appearance.

Really looking forward to this one...I can't make the Norwich game so hopefully this won't be my last game at Villa Park this season! :)

The performances and team spirit have all aligned for our winning run so let's hope it continues tomorrow. There is no doubt that Millwall will be coming here to get 3pts and may cause a few problems, so we all need to be patient and focused on the job at hand...and we need to be clinical with whatever chances are created.

Other fixtures to keep one eye on tomorrow...

Sheff Weds vs Bristol (a tough away game for Bristol and can see them dropping at least 2pts here)
Reading vs Baggies (Reading aren't safe yet so we could close the gap to Baggies with any kind of result)
Forest vs Boro (an opportunity for Boro to push for playoffs on the back of 3 wins)
Derby vs QPR (can't see anything but a Derby win to stay in touch with Boro and Bristol)

We need another 3pts...let's do this!!!

I’m similar. I reckon a draw. We score first, they get a late equaliser.

Millwall will be scrapping for their lives so expect a dogged performance from them which will make life difficult for our boys. But another stellar contribution from Jack & John should swing things our way in the end.
Villa 3 Millwall 1.

A professional job required today! Let's get the 3 points! Let's get to 75! Let's get 10 out of 10! Let's consolidate further our top 6 standing. Come on the Villa boys from Aston! UTV

As were the early kick off, time to put pressure on Albion and a blow to our chasers before any of them have kicked off. UTV.

I was hoping it'd be on telly, but never mind.

It’s on the red button today.

5th vs 21st...they are 1 place up relegation for a reason but they will be fighting for their Championship lives and we can't afford any complacency today. They've put 2 goals past Albion, Blose and Leeds in recent weeks, so we have to stay disciplined and focused for all 90+ minutes. Our finishing will be key today so whoever leads the line needs to be clinical in front of goal.
