You’re a miserable old curmudgeon Dave! 😉

You’re a miserable old curmudgeon Dave! 😉
And proud of it.

If the new Bolton owner has passed the league test, I think they should be able to do whatever they like - bungs, money laundering, tapping players up...
-
Wasn't Geoff Curmudgeon a keeper for us ? :)
-
This is one of the few occasions that I disagree with Dave and I am also a miserable old curmudgeon (as opposed to Geoff Crudgington)
We have no divine right to be playing at any level and we are playing at the level we are on merit.
If we were to win the play off final at Wembley, I would celebrate like it was going out of fashion. Yes, it is only a 2nd tier achievement but it means so much to the club that it is as bigger achievement as both Dave and I are likely to see in the rest of our days.
From a personal point of view, I can't stand the thought of not watching Jack grace football pitches next season and for this reason alone (notwithstanding the obvious other ones), it is paramount to get promoted this May and the celebrations will rightly match the achievment - Just as they did at Hillsborough back in 1975.

110% agree Brassneck
-
Since it Easter Day I agree with Brassneck because our return to the First Division would be the return of the prodigal son. Kill the fatted calf.
-
Or for those of a more secular outlook Lewis Carroll would fit come Monday especially if the heatwave rolls on for our engagement with those Gentlemen of SE16. T'was brillig and the slithey toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe. Callooh callay O frabjuous day!

Dave, a massive personal thank you for your excellent report on each game. I have followed Villa since the 60's but have somehow ended up on a little island in the arsehole of nowhere. Since we arrived in the Championship, Aston Villa seemed to have disappeared from the international scene. It is all Premier League. Your balanced and informed views have given me the best insight into each Villa match and the current standing at the club for which I (and no doubt many others) are truly grateful. Keep up the good work.

I'm not happy with Ross McCormack, but I'm not so sure this is the answer.
-
A brilliant read Dave.
-
Totally agree. We have not won anything yet and we are still 5th in the second tier of English football however it's quite a good feeling.
-
I'm getting massively excited about this run, telling my boy that he will never see a Villa team achieve this ever again etc... and my otherself is thinking that it's not a patch on Barry, Milner, Southgate, Ehiogu, Young, Delaney (loved his slide tackles), Mellberg, Merson and of course Tayls.

I think Trump has a vacancy for a good PR man Baldy. That does carry a prize.

Is it the same bloke who wrote the 'Bolton fan' letter to the rags?
-
'No Prize'. Shit. I take it all back.
Up the Villa.
