Title: Captains Choice
Post by: Virgil Caine on January 15, 2019, 05:55:35 PM: One of the contributory factors of Villa's recent lack of success in my humble opinion has been the lack of a leader on the pitch. So, to lighten the mood somewhat, could I ask contributors the following:-

a) Who do you think has been the best Captain whilst you have been following the Villa?

b) Who do you think should be wearing the Captains armband now and why?

Out of what we have Jedinak if he played more, but I think Chester is about the best of a poor bunch.

In theory we have a team of leaders as Elphick, Hourihane, Chester, Jedinak,Whelan, Lansbury have all been captains before at other clubs. I just don’t see any of them as genuine captain material as they are a mix of don’t play enough, past it or not vocal enough
