Saturday 10.11.18 3pm KO
iPro Stadium
1-1
Abraham 33
-
2-1 defeat. Still early days for Deano.
-
I wil say 1-0 Derby win but I hope I'm wrong.

I agree. 2-1 to the manager who was appointed in the close season against a manager who didn't have that luxury.
-
2-2 - Hector & Callaghan / Sims & Callaghan (signed at half time)
-
Away and they're flying - not this time. 3-1.
-
I'd tek a draw now to be honest.
-
Fancy us here.
-
A draw here and beat Small Heath would be a fantastic 4 points. Can only see a defeat here though. 3-1 to them
-
2-0 to us.
-
0-1 sneaky win
Jacks second of the season
-
I'd be happy with a draw but think we'll lose this one. Whatever else happens it's absolutely imperative Jack doesn't pick up a booking and so miss the Small Heath game
-
8 Bournemouth Lions making the trip. A very tough fixture and I'd be happy with a draw.
-
Tough one this, can't see us getting anything sadly
-
2-1 to Derby. Just can't see us doing enough... be nice though!
-
A, cheeky, seven-nil Villa win.
-
In form terms I think we operating on a reasonably acceptable ‘two steps forward one step back’ improvement level so:
Derby 3 Villa 1.
-
I struggle to be worried by the opposition in this league.
Going to Man City with Aguero would concern me. Going to Derby to face Jack Marriot doesn't.
It doesn't mean I don't appreciate they're in good form and playing good football. But I just think Keogh and co can be got at by technicians like Grealish.
I feel a lot more confident with Deano, knowing we'll attack with a certain aplomb.
-
I agree, after so many years of negative managers being totally focused on stopping the opposition it's refreshing to feel that we're going into games concentrating on the damage we're going to cause them. We've been far too timid in this league. There's nothing to be scared of.
-
A new one torn and back to the drawing board
For them that is. 3-0 to Villa.
-
In the games we've lost (maybe with the exception of the second half at Norwich) we've been much the better side. Tons of possession and we are starting to get into better positions and creating more chances. There's nothing to be fearful of in the Championship. We need to keep doing what we've been doing and take our chances when they come up. We'll win this 2-0

This one is all about attack v defence I reckon. Derby's forward play has been exceptional recently. Our defenders are still getting used to each other and getting used to playing in their rightful positions. If we can contain them then I believe we have enough firepower to beat any team in this league. I'll stick my neck out and go for them 1 us 2.
-
every game in this league is realistically winnable and loseable
if we won away at Derby it would be a massive boost, and big statement to what Smith has done in a few weeks
I'm not confident enough yet to predict a win so I'll go for a 1-1 draw,
but if we did come away with a victory it could be a springboard to some big performances in the leed up to Christmas
-
Our first away point under Dean Smith. 1-1
-
5-5

They've scored 1 more goal than us.

Our first away point under Dean Smith. 1-1
Is my prediction too in a most unSmith like hard fought draw.
-
0-6. Even Marlon Harewood will score.

They've scored 1 more goal than us.
Harry Wilson-Marriott-Lawrence-Waghorn combination was really good v Chelsea I thought.
Would be amazed if we kept a clean sheet in this so we really need to be clinical when we get a chance which has been a major problem for us in away games recently.
-
Just making the point that they've scored 1 goal more than us. Considering we've had Negatron in charge with the complete absence of a game plan for most of the season.
Yet wonderful free flowing Derby have scored 1 goal more, thanks to Lee Camp being hilariously shite.
We've failed to score once, and god knows how against QPR.
Kept 2 clean sheets under Smith and but for Chester having two inexplicable moments of stupidity, would have conceded just the one so far.
-
Derby are a better than average championship team, and Lampard looks like he's doing a decent job there. Fair play. But Barcelona or Man City they ain't. At some stage we're going to post one of those sit-up-and-take-notice results and this could be it. Tammy and Jack to star in Derby 1 Villa 3.
-
4-3 Yorke will get a hat-trick and maybe a long ranger from someone like.... Maybe Garry Parker.
-
Can the title be amended to contain their new name please.....Frank Lampard's Derby
-
Hope BB is back to replace Hourihane (H better when he comes on late) to protect JG from any bookings. With a Bolasie start 0-1 and confidence high and ready for the scum in a Wembley like Villa Park .....
-
2-3 Abraham, Grealish, Chester
-
This could really be a statement of intent if we were to win
BB back in if fit, Whelan if not
Not sure what Bolasi has to do to get a start but I would try him over Kodjia
-
1-2 everyone will be happy enough to settle for a draw in a hard-fought game before Bolasie is released from the bench and hammers one in in added time!
-
If offered before the game, I would happily take 3 points.
-
I work in Derby, surrounded by passionate Derby fans (and the odd Trickey) My life will be hell Monday unless we take something from here.C'mon Villa !!
-
Providing Axel and Chester are at their best, we might get a draw, but not optimistic Derby are the form team of the league unbeaten in last 7 games.
-
its great to know that whatever happens we will be going to attack
Give it a go and try and win the game
that's the difference from times before
-
Think we will lose, but hope for a draw

We certainly need one away from home sooner or later. We always do well at Boro so could be that one but I having a feeling we'll win at West Brom.
-
Boro strike me as typical Pulis. Score first and you probably won't lose. Score twice and you'll almost certainly win.
I think the Stripey Filth are falling foul of their 3 at the back. They don't seem comfortable.
-
I think we will win this 2-1 (hopefully).
-
Waghorn missing for them is a bonus as he’s been a strong threat out wide.
Mount 50/50 whether he will be fit too.
Positive Villa - 2-1 win with Jack scoring the winner
-

I think this is about right for a few teams in this division but especially so for Boro. I remember the play off 2nd leg where we were winning and Tiny Penis did not change his game plan at all and considering they needed at least one goal never really looked like they would score
-
I've had 1-3 in my head all week. Not sure why i'm so confident about it to be honest. Chester, Abraham and Hogan with ours.
-

Mason Mount not called up by England so I assume that means he's injured.
-

Would you like 3 points?
Are you putting on a Brummie accent? If so 'Ar!'
-
Hope I’m wrong but I think 2-0 to Derby We just need to keep picking up points against lesser teams until the window. Derby are not a lesser team

For you darling, anything.
-
This games just come a little to early for us to build up any momentum.
Still its refreshing to know that we wont just turn up and let Derby Dictate the play, with ready made excuses to hand.
Could be a good game actually, neither team are good defensively.
-
We are not playing well enough yet and they are playing good stuff atm, cant see us getting anything. Got a tough run of fixtures coming up.
-
1-1 settle for this, c'mon you Villa boys on this incredible weekend.
-
Think we need to score first but we can win. If we do then we can begin to believe.
-
I think McGinn us going to be key, pressing fat Tom off the park and really disrupting their ability to reset when they win possession.
Nothing to fear.
Nyland
Taylor
Chester
Tuanzebe
Hutton
Thor
McGinn
Bolasie
Grealish
Adomah
Tammy
-
If someone said to me you will win 3-0 I will argue with them.
-
If someone said to me you will win 3-0 I will argue with them.
So I am safe to lay a 3-0 villa win on betfair ?
-
Alas comfortable Derby win 3.1
-
If Grealish is now terrified of setting foot in his own half, I think we'll have just enough to edge this. No chance of a clean sheet.
2-1 us, same scorers as last week.

This is as a good as its gets right now (Hutton notwithstanding), with the exception of AA, who has been woeful recently. Problem is, I cannot offer an alternative ... Kodjia, Hogan, El Gazhi are all more flawed than AA, for this particular game.
I think we'll see a similar game as last year: Derby scoring mid first half and nothing much to be done about it; and then another home goal late on.
-
I have a feeling we may well see a youngster,O'hare preferably.
-
Any good pubs that’ll be taking away fans that people know of? Not been to Derby before so haven’t got a clue.
-
I was due to be away so we gave up our tickets.... As that has now been cancelled last minute, I am looking for somewhere in Central B'ham to watch the game. Does anyone know any pubs that will show the game.
-
Fat Tom...is that Huddlestone? Seems to have been around for yonks with his crisp passing and fat arse.
-
Any late spares for this or alternatively does anybody know if any pubs in Brum show our 3pm matches since we got relegated?
-
Alas comfortable Derby win 3.1
If one things changed since Bruce has gone its teams beating us Comfortably.
-
I'll be absolutely delighted if we can snaffle something from this afternoon's encounter. I just can't see any any other outcome other than a County win, so here's hoping them Funny Ol' Game Gods descend & unleash mayhem.
COYL
-
Mate, it's Derby County.
-
Bolasie starts we win this 1-2 Bolasie-Abraham get JG off as soon as it seems feasible for Hourihane .........
-
Bolaise has to start ...
was not that impressed with AA and JK last time but DS will probably start with them.
-
Bolaise doesn't start, Kodjia and Adomah wide.
1-1
-
Bolasi must be really shit in training or Deano just does not trust him to be disciplined defensively.
Maybe the injury was more severe than anyone thought and if so well done Brucey for getting such an expensive dud

It was a very bad injury, he was out for over a year I think. Played a bit for Everton last season but was nowhere near his Palace best for them.

I think we're nursing him back. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for a start, he looks exciting.
