Nyland, Bree, Chester, Axel, Taylor, BB, McGinn, AA, Hourihane, Bolasie, Abraham

4231, give Albert a try on the right and Bree a go maybe, Hutton was rubbish again at weekend.

We did some of our best work at the end of last season when we started rotating the squad regularly.

Elmo     Tuanzebe     Chester     Hutton
                         Whelan
Bolasie      McGinn     Grealish    Kodjia

Not that I'd pick Whelan, but this is what I think he will go for.

Not sure I get the huge sense of "these are shit , we're bound to win however shit we are".

They're much better than 2 years ago when we battered them. They only have 2 points less than us and they have played better teams . They're coming off a win over Lampard's lot.

1-0 and thats heart over head and assuming Nyland's customary howler somehow doesn't cost us.

Really want us to smash them though.

Yeah can see this being a scrappy 2-1. This is usually a regulation 3-0 win v this opponent but we're just not playing that well and Rotherham had very good win at the weekend.

Yes. Elmo RB. Hutton LB. Tuanzene and Chester CB.

Whelan DM

meaning McGinn and Grealish (CM/AM)given licence, nay instruction to GET F**KING UPFIELD AND CLOSE TO TAMMY

BOLASIE RW (if fit for 90, else Adomah, with Bolasie of the bench)
EL GHAZI LW (with Kodjia on as sub to finish the job)

ABRAHAM CF (don't worry son, I've told Jack and McGinn to get close to you and the wingers to get some bloody crosses in)

El Ghazi

4-4-2 (remember that?!) for this one;

Nyland; Hutton, Tuanzebe, Chester, Taylor; Bolasie, McGinn, Hourihane, Grealish (starting on the left, but drifting infield); Kodjia, Abraham.

El Ghazi coming-off the bench with 30 minutes to go.

Bolasie won't start

Nyland

Elmo Chester tuanzebe Taylor

McGinn hourihane

Abraham

But switch to 442 at time with Kodjia up top and jack tucked in on the left. The key is getting people closer to Abraham

It won't happen under Bruce, but I would avoid playing a DCM. I'd definitely go with a Hourihane, Kodjia, El Ghazi return in the starting line-up. We need to play on the front foot in the opponents half not ours. I don't want to see Grealish in the left back position like saturday
Nyland (if we have to), Elmo, chester, Axel, Taylor, el ghazi, mcginn, grealish, Conor, Kodjia, Tammy.
Subs must include Thor, Hutton, bolasie, rhm, o hare, bree and a goalie

Are we all agreed that we don't need a defensive midfielder sitting in front of the back four to try and stiffle and add protection against the rampaging might of Rotherham? If Bruce plays either Whelan or Jedinak he can pack his desk up at half time and feck off tonight.

McGinn, Hourihane, Grealish, Bolasie, Kodjia, Abraham.

No doubt Mr Goofball will set up to not lose, probably going 4 5 1,with the Zimmer frame twins (Whelan & Jedinak) playing in front of the defence.
Scrappy 1-0 and a rewind of any of the previous two years of self centred drivel, where any and everyone but him gets the blame.
Thank God I'm not going to be able to watch the game, as I'll be celebrating 25years of marriage with my better half in Albufera.

Nyland (still does not feel like "our" proper keeper)

Elmo               Chester                 Tuanzabe         Hutton

Bolasie            Grealish              McGinn              El Ghazi

                      Abrahams                Kodjia

Subs:

The other poor keeper
Whelan
Bjork
Bree
Adomah
Hourihane
RHM

That squad should be out of site already considering the fixtures and weak defence we have

NO MORE EXCUSES

I pride myself on knowing at least one or two players of opposition or being familiar without looking I couldn't name a Rotherham player .
I may be familiar when I do look

Of course they are another promoted team yet I was aware of Dack, Danny Graham Charlie Mullgrew at Balckburn for eg  so will need to check any Rotherham players if heard of them

So I was surprised they beat Derby by all accounts fair play to them as they are expected to be lower level

I do wonder how Bruce will play this I imainge mixing things and some more squad changes

I don't know who he's going to start and wouldn't be surprised if he did make some changes in and around the whole line up.

What like to see is 4-3-3 and give Bolaise 60 mins but maybe more a put on job and El ghazi starts with Adomah.

Mcginn can well be rested and jedinak ?? Can mile play two on such a short space of time
Tuanzebe and Abrahams can he trust these young players to play or be left making excuses it's too much for them

Up front and system Wise will be very interesting
The perhaps bigger test is against sheffield Wednesday but as Bruce is desperately need win will he go strong and have attacking impetus from get go.

Elmohamedys can be left on bench or something as can Adomah but I think he'll play one

But also what's he doing with Kodija and Abrahams.

So many questions ??

But I like a 3+ goal margin win and a clean sheets
So 3-0
Reality 2-1
Positive all coming together 4 or 5-0

There must be a scoreline that gives us three points and gets Bruce fired. I'd like that one please.

Rotherham get three sent off yet we have zero efforts on goal until their last red card leads to a dodgy penalty which we convert. Rotherham then have a goal wrongly disallowed in the final minute. FT 1-0. Att. at FT 12,999 who all boo Bruce and Villa off the field.

Lose this and I can't see anyway he can stay in his job, 1-1 for me, if we come away with all 3 points that will keep him in situ for the next few games because at this point in the season it potentially takes us right in shooting distance of the top 4, misleading as that is.

Rotherham, don't think they are going to be anybody's kicking post here, they will fancy this or at least a point.
