Reading your board is quite fun I like to make a few points 1 i don’t think there will be 1000s of Villa fans in the Fulham end I’m pretty sure they will be spread out among the Fulham family you’re talking about a team that hasn’t been to Wembley for ANY game for 43 years I’m pretty sure that any fan from either side who wants a ticket will get 1 maybe not sitting with their friends 2 I also realise that your a bigger team than us but if you or us go up we will be playing in the 2nd division of the premiership with 13 other teams 3 I agree the clappers are shit 4 I think we’re in the same boat go up we retain top players don’t go up there off we’re probably lose our manager as well just hope it’s a decent game not decided by a poor refereeing decision
-
Instead of free clappers, do you reckon Fulham would give you some free punctuation lessons instead.
Just tried reading that in one breath and could get to 43 years. What’s everyone else’s PB?
-
Have you ever heard of punctuation?
-
Fair play mate. Good points. We both know each others teams very well. Who do you fear most from AV ? And are you a bit concerned about your two losses at the end of an incredible run even though you turned it round against Derby ??
-
Good points in the main, but where on here is anyone saying there'll be 1000s of our fans in the Fulham end.
-
Yeah...he can stay.
-
Thanks for the input boys, sorry about lack of punctuation, on one of your sites seems to think every Fulham season ticket holder bought 5 and used 2 and sold the rest. I think we’re probably similar to a you on smaller scale, everyone knows someone who has moved and only gets to 5 or 6 games a year. As to our run in, Although we went half a season unbeaten we seemed to running on empty in the last half a dozen games,so hopefully the 10 days since the derby game will recharge our batteries. The obvious danger is Grealish but it would very fulhamish if John Terry scores the winner. there seems to be quite a emphasis put on your experience,I only say with experience comes age where we have young legs it might make different the longer the game goes on. One last point I’ve going to Fulham for over 50 years in all that time I have never met a Hugo, Tarquin, or Rupert!!
-
Resale sites are full of Fulham tickets, so plenty bought them to sell on.

There were plenty of Villa section seats on yesterday as well so lets not make out they're the only ones
-
Funny enough Franky I have just put a couple of quid on Terry to score 40/1 I understand the younger legs thinking but ironically I also have a little vision of a Tottenham player (Onomah) finishing you off :-))) Have a great day ........

Your punctuation in thw 1st post blew the Tarquin theory straight out of the water anyway!
If you got to 5-6 Fulham games you could get 5 tickets! They were sellig 5 to anyone who had been in your 'neutral' end except us. Its not like having some family or friends that can't get along that often. There won't be 1000s, we're not 'taking the Fulham end', but a fair few Villa will be there because the criteria was so loosely managed.
Anyway - in the end I was glad it was Fulham not Derby. Its all fine margins by thos stage in the game, so if we lose, I'd rather it was to the team that finished 3rd and who don't have an ex-blues manager and forward.
I always liked Fulham and was quite gutted when you got relegated- mostly because it was a favourite away trip, but one way or another, we won't be at Craven Cottage in the league next season anyway!
-

There were a few and most were Club Wembley etc. Sites are full of Fulham tickets and often up to 5 at a time, mainly from their allocation. There's a massive difference between a few Villa tickets here and there and hundreds of Fulham tickets.
-
I know a few Fulham fans and they are just decent, normal fans. Very self deprecating and no delusions of being anything they are not.
Hard to believe now but I am told that for a good 15-20 years after the war Fulham was a tough working class area.

Yep this Tarquin stuff is just nonsense, it’s like saying all Villa are like a Benny from Crossroads.

Brave of you to come on here so fair play for that.
And I actually agree with you, I think the youth and pace of your boys is what took us apart at the Cottage and if we're not very careful the same could happen Saturday.
All I can say is may the best team win. I will be absolutely shattered if it's not us, but that's football.
-
Fuck that, I hope we win and bollocks to who is the prettiest.
-

Indeed. I am minded of that interview with Gollum years ago. When describing his teams performance he essentially said, it is like getting to the end of a night out and looking to pull. It doesn't matter if she is prettiest girl as long as you get her in the cab home. That's kind of where I am with Saturday.
-
No one said anything about prettiest. Very impressed as always by LeeB's exceptional mastery of dropping fucks and bollockses for no apparent reason. That's the rest of us told.

I don't want 'the best team' to win. I want us to.
I don't think you do either really so your post is disingenuous. And you can have your own 'fuck off' and 'bollocks' if you enjoy them so much.

It's not disingenuous as I don't think there's much point going up to the PL if we can't beat Fulham. We'll get thrashed week on week if we can't step up now and show some quality when it counts. I doubt I'm alone in seeing things that way.
-
Just stuck my head into their forum. It isn't to Olbiyun levels of "woe is me, wim a lovely club, nasty big boys saying rude things" but a few of them are getting that way.
Then you had the odd ones having a pop at our fans who have signed up there (fuck knows why people do that). If any of our lot are idiots they deserve all they get but panning someone as "obviously a kid who never saw your glory days" whilst genuinely arguing that League Cups wins don't count as proper trophies? How much of a new fan do you have to be to think that? Especially as they have won Jack Shit in their history? They should be delighted to win one. Very odd.
Must have been posted by a kid.....
And as an aside, they like a Villa fan from Gloucester. Fucking amateurs.

I meant over 90 minutes, beating them comfortably, being evidently the better team, etc etc.

With our pulling power and potential, I don't give a flying fuck how we beat them, we will have a better chance in the promised land than them. UTV

It's not as though the 18 on Saturday is going to be the same 18 that will be playing next season if we win.
Huddersfield didn't win a game in the play-offs, I must have missed their relegation this season ;)

That's fair. We can play some very good stuff at times though and I'd love to see us going up doing that.

We all would. But if one goes in off Terry's still wet dick because he was throwing one up Mrs Jokanovic before the match then nobody is going to be too bothered are they.
-
We'd all love a Wolves/Bristol City demolition job, but i'll take the spawniest 1-0 win anyone has ever seen.

Yup if we win I’ll be happy however it happens.
-
I'm not one for Corinithian style well done old chap, may the best team win bollocks either.
Fuck that shite. I want us to win, doesn't matter how.
-
Best team win? As long as it is us.

I’ve imagined all sorts of scenarios for Saturday but that wasn’t one of them!
-
I'd almost prefer if that's how we won even allowing for Terry's battered appendage possibly ruling him out of the early stages of next season.
-
It’s hard to dislike Fulham. Good fans, good old fashioned ground, great setting and always a good day out. I’m old enough to remember their last visit to Wembley and wanting them to beat West Ham having knocked Blues out of the semi final in injury time .. Mitchell with the winner wasn’t it.
They deserve to go up but you don’t always get what you deserve and this will be the case Saturday.
-
Fulham's a decent club. I want us to win obviously but if we don't make it at least it's not someone like Leeds going up.
Good away day and they're a pretty good team which I fear a few are underestimating.
Of course you lot shouldn't have bottled SHA away which would've allowed this fixture in premier league again which is much better than down here.
-
As long as we win Terry can change into his Chelski strip for the lap of honour for all I'll care!
-
Enough of this Fulham are a great club crap! This is the playoff final. No fucking mercy! Get into the fuckers and rip them to shreds! Show no respect and steamroller our way back into the top division where we can compete for survival. Fuck the fuckers! They are not getting a sniff.
-

Absolutely. Would love us to go there and put in the kind of performance we did against Liverpool in the semi final a few years back, but the result is the only thing that matters on Saturday.
Just had another watch of the semi final highlights here:

Only Grealish left of that side now.

I don’t think Mr Jokanovic will be too happy IMO 👍
-
Terry's still wet dick? FFS. The most distasteful post ever.
-
I know he’s a Villa player, but am I allowed to say I still can’t stand Terry?
Won’t argue if he gets us the winner tomorrow mind.
-
Mr Jokanovic has given the perfect pep talk to fire the Villa team up for this game! "Old and tired" Unlike his team who bottled it and got thumped 3-1 at Blues.
-
Yea, youngish and choked. Same at Wembley.
-
Was does old equal tired? You might lose a yard of pace but it has Jack all to do with how long you can keep hurtling around.
-
probably not related much but i watche Friends of Fulham win the womens FA Cup in 1988 at Old Trafford.
good luck friend of Fulham
-
The wife just made me watch the bbc morning show which she records, I know I don’t get it either. Anyway, Richard Osman was on it this morning plugging another new game show. I like Richard Osman, I think everyone does. He’s also a big Fulham fan and going Saturday. “Two good sides” he said and followed it with “we’ll (Fulham) probably lose to a last minute goal”. That’ll do for me.
-
I’m pretty sure our manager didn’t call you team old and slow, I haven’t seen the press conference, but he’s Serbian and his English sometimes comes over poorly, I’m pretty sure the last thing he wants to do is wind up the villa team. As to the tickets I’ve looked on a few websites they does seem to more tickets in Fulham end, but not that many at the most they probably be about 1000 villa fans in Fulham end. My point is that would you really like to pay 2 or 3 times over the top to be surrounded by Fulham fans, or watch in the comfort of a local pub. Anyway have a good day tomorrow whenever your watching it but not to good!!!

Grinds my gears this does.
If old=good then they've got 1/4 of a good ground. Whilst the main stand might be old, the facade is frankly crap. And the cottage - it's quaint but what the hell is it doing in a football ground. And as for the three meccano monstrosities - I get they're a small club who's rightful place is probably in the bottom half of the Football League, but surely they've spent enough time in the top two flights to warrant replacing their temporary stands with something more permanent?!
-
I love Craven Cottage, nice walk to the ground, compact stadium and nothing like the identikit stadiums you see everywhere.
-
The Cottage was built because Leitch forgot to include changing rooms when they were building the stands. Give me a ground like the Cottage with an original 1905 Leitch stand over the Reebok etc every day of the week.
-
I fully agree with Chris and PWS. A good old ground with character - and an Archie Leitch stand.
-
My first ever Villa away game in the old 3rd Division was at Craven Cottage, we won 2-0. Thanks for taking me Dad!
-
Yes but Fuck the fuckers anyway!
-

You keep being offended by everyone and everything they say petal.

I was there (about November 1970). My first away game with my mates on the special from New Street aged 14. Remember Chelsea supporters being there and attacking Villa fans when we scored but getting the worst of it. They were wearing Crombie coats and carrying brollies whereas Villa were all scruffs.
-
Walk across the park to an Archibald Leitch stand (we used to be able to do that!). I think Craven Cottage has a lot of unique points and it's far from being a standard ground. I like the fact that you can watch rowers on the Thames during any boring bits of the game, the 'neutral zone' always makes me smile because it is anything but whenever I've been. Once I got used to it, I even quite like the way the away stand sort of bounces when things get exciting. it also marks a personal milestone in the gentrification of football supporting for me when my mate disappeared to get us both a pie and came back with Paninis! I realised that resistance was futile at that point ;)
-
And the Michael Jackson statue they used to have.

I hate top heavy stands.

I have nothing against Fulham. My brother is a season ticket holder as its his adopted club, but he's a Villa fan first and foremost. Please stuff them today Villa.
